As we reported early Friday, Joe Biden's team came up with a new plan designed to keep him from looking old and weak as he shuffled back and forth across the White House lawn to Marine One. The idea? Walk with him to and from Marine One, standing between the media and Biden, reducing the number of unflattering shots highlighting his shuffling/looking elderly for the cameras. But now that we've been tipped off about the new strategy, we're now going to pay even more attention to the issue, because now they've highlighted it with this effort. So let's check what happened when Biden returned from New York on Friday.

I’ll preface my commentary with the obvious: All of the “mostly peaceful” protests by our “college educated” on campuses nationwide that are clearly pro-Hamas and aimed at Jewish students are wrong, illegal, and all involved should either go back to the classes their parents and taxpayers are funding or be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But why the sudden sanctimonious outrage from the media and pundit class, billionaire donors, business leaders, and politicians? Why are the harassment and threats against Jewish students a red line that’s been crossed and now found to be totally unacceptable? It’s only because the current violence hits too close to home.

Mike Pinder, original keyboardist for The Moody Blues in both their original mid-1960s configuration as a pop/blues outfit and their better-known late-1960s/early-1970s gentle progressive rock quintet entity, died in his Northern California home on April 25, 2024, from an as-yet unstated cause. Pinder was 82. Pinder first came to public attention in 1965, when alongside singer/vocalist Ray Thomas and guitarist/vocalist Denny Laine, he appeared on the first Moody Blues album, “The Magnificent Moodies.” The album contained the band's first hit, “Go Now,” written by Larry Banks and Milton Bennett. With Laine on lead vocal, the Moody Blues’ version reached #1 in England and #10 in the United States. Follow-up success

The problem is, is that there's this nasty little thing called practicality. Advertisement There are a lot of people who are saying, "I've seen all of this, I apparently should be doing it." Axios commissioned a Harris poll and discovered something unsurprising, even if the establishment was shocked. Americans support mass deportations of illegal aliens. I suspect they would support mass deportations of some legal aliens who express anti-American views as well, come to think of it. This is what is called a backlash, dude. Americans have consistently expressed support for legal immigration but just as consistently told everyone that they don't like illegal immigration. Details of the recent limited Israeli retaliatory strike against Iranian anti-aircraft missile batteries at Isfahan are still sketchy. But nonetheless, we can draw some conclusions. Israel's small volley of missiles hit their intended targets, to the point of zeroing in on the very launchers designed to stop such incoming ordnance. The target was near the Natanz enrichment facility. That proximity was by design. Israel showed Iran it could take out the very anti-missile battery designed to thwart an attack on its nearby nuclear facility. The larger message sent to the world was that Israel could send a retaliatory barrage at Iranian nuclear sites with reasonable assurances that the incoming attacks could not

President Biden's latest proposal to hike the top capital gains tax rate to its highest level in more than a century is facing heavy criticism from experts who warn such an action could significantly harm the U.S. economy. According to a report issued by the Treasury Department, led by Secretary Janet Yellen, the president's proposed fiscal year 2025 budget would increase the top marginal rate on long-term capital gains and qualified dividends to a staggering 44.6%. A capital gains tax hike of that magnitude would take the rate to its highest level since it was first introduced in the early 1920s.

There has never been a more dangerous time in the world than right now. Moreover, great empires can end quickly, as the Soviet Union’s abrupt collapse showed. The lesson we should take away from this monumental historical moment is that nothing is assured and countries must be held together by more than the brute force of government power. In America, under Democrat leadership, we are intentionally splintering ourselves along artificially created fault lines, whether cultural or financial. That must change if we are to survive. We Americans require leaders who can communicate a simple, understandable, and compelling message

Joe Biden and the Democrat party get special treatment from about 99 percent of the media but apparently, it still isn’t enough. People at the Biden White House are angry at the New York Times for not being loyal enough. They actually think that the incredibly liberal newspaper is too biased against them and too nice to Trump. This claim is positively delusional. The media bends over backwards to not report negative news about Biden while demonizing Trump constantly. What this really shows is that people in the Biden camp are sensitive and scared.
DHS Has a Warning for Foreign Students

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned foreign students that if they are arrested for participating in anti-Israel protests occurring across college campuses they will face deportation. As anti-Israel protestors invade universities such as Columbia, law enforcement and Republican lawmakers sound the alarm as it becomes increasingly unsafe for Jewish students to be on campus. DHS can lawfully deport a person if they violate their visa terms. Most of the time when visas are revoked, it is "prudential," which means that a person isn't always necessarily immediately removed from the United States. However, it does mean that someone would be denied future re-entry into the country.

College campuses nationwide are becoming engulfed by the shenanigans of their respective student bodies over the war in Gaza. Columbia University allowed this little pro-terrorist stunt to occur, and now it’s gone national. Not all have been successful; NYU’s camp got dismantled, and there have been dozens of arrests at Emory, USC, and UT Austin—all of which are being fueled by the fake narrative that Israel is committing genocide.

Politico has a big story up today about what it labels the "petty feud" between the White House and the NY Times. This battle of the upper crust in Washington and New York allegedly started with a simple error. A Times staffer got a quote for a story but attributed that quote a specific White House staffer. According to rules set up by the White House that shouldn't have happened. The quote was given "on background" meaning it could be generally stated to have come from an unnamed White House official but not from a named individual. The White House called the Times' Washington bureau chief, Elisabeth Bumiller,

WASHINGTON — Coal-fired power plants would be forced to capture smokestack emissions or shut down under a rule issued Thursday by the Environmental Protection Agency. New limits on greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel-fired electric plants are the Biden administration’s most ambitious effort yet to roll back planet-warming pollution from the power sector, the nation’s second-largest contributor to climate change. The rules are a key part of President Joe Biden’s pledge to eliminate carbon pollution from the electricity sector by 2035 and economy-wide by 2050. The rule was among four measures targeting coal and natural gas plants that the EPA said would provide “regulatory certainty” to the power industry and encourage

A federal trial court ruled in Smith’s favor that Trump is not immune from prosecution, but Smith’s prosecution in D.C. has been on hold until the Supreme Court weighs in, likely in late June.
