When Beverly Morris retired in 2016, she thought she had found her dream home - a peaceful stretch of rural Georgia, surrounded by trees and quiet. Today, it's anything but. Just 400 yards (366m) from her front porch in Mansfield, Georgia, sits a large, windowless building filled with servers, cables, and blinking lights. It's a data centre - one of many popping up across small-town America, and around the globe, to power everything from online banking to artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt if it is “worthwhile” for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to consider holding denaturalization proceedings against New York City’s Democratic presumptive mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani. Republican Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles requested that the DOJ investigate whether Mamdani should be subject to denaturalization proceedings over a rap song where he allegedly expressed support for individuals convicted of terrorism-related crimes and for his refusal to condemn the phrase, “globalize the intifada.”

"Your brother is a hero." This is what Emad was told after finding out his brother had been killed in a suicide explosion at a church in the Syrian capital of Damascus. His brother, Milad, and two others had tried to push the suicide attacker out of the church building. He was killed instantly – alongside 24 other members of the congregation. Another 60 people were injured in the attack at Greek Orthodox Church of the Prophet Elias, in the eastern Damascus suburb of Dweila on 22 June.

Woe to the Democrat Party. The once unified Democrat Party has fractured. They lost the 2024 election by a landslide. They even lost the popular vote, only the second time since 1988. The majority of men have taken their vote to the Republican Party. Hispanics now vote GOP, and Blacks?...they have split wide open, no longer a reliable Dem vote. Of the 14 states that do not require voter ID, Harris won 12 of them. Trump lost Colorado, but they say they require ID but don't require a photo ID. Pretty thin accomplishment.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Streisand revealed that she is teaming with artists including Sting, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Seal, and newcomers such as Icelandic pop star Laufey. But amid her efforts to tout her new album, Streisand could not resist popping off about the evils of Donald Trump — one of her favorite topics. The Yentl star told the AP that she has ongoing mental distress over the Trump administration. She even claimed that her worries about Trump may have caused her to pick some of the darker songs for her new album.

The Supreme Court decisively ended lower courts’ ability to block policies issued by the Trump administration using nationwide injunctions on Friday. In a 6-3 ruling, the majority found that lower courts exceeded their authority by issuing a nationwide block on President Donald Trump’s birthright citizenship restrictions. “The injunctions before us today reflect a more recent development: district courts asserting the power to prohibit enforcement of a law or policy against anyone,”

Peter Orszag, a businessman and ex-Obama official, claimed Thursday that the Democratic Party was in peril of becoming an anti-capitalist and antisemitic party. Orzag spoke with CNBC in the aftermath of Democratic New York Assemblyman Zohran Mandani winning the Democratic New York City mayoral primary election. Mandani was endorsed by the New York City Democratic Socialists of America. “Let me step back and just say that I am saddened to say that I think the Democratic Party is becoming increasingly antisemitic and anti-capitalism,” Orszag said. “And the thing about it is turning … towards socialism and turning away from your moral principles through antisemitism never works."

On his first day in office — of his second term, not his wasted first term — President Trump signed an executive order ending anchor babies, the practice of treating kids born to illegals on U.S. soil as full-fledged citizens. (Apparently, our Founding Fathers wanted to ensure that poverty-stricken third-worlders who force their way into our country would never have to leave.) Three federal district court judges promptly issued (you’ll never guess) nationwide injunctions blocking Trump’s order. The Supreme Court is expected to rule on those injunctions any day now. It may be that the anchor baby lunacy is . . .

One of the Nation’s largest all-women’s colleges has been hit with a civil rights complaint for allegedly allowing men to be admitted to the school and preventing students from speaking out. Smith College’s admission policy allows anyone who claims to “identify” as a woman to be eligible to apply, the federal complaint filed by Defending Education (DE) states. The school also maintains a “Bias Response Team” which is tasked with responding to incidents of “bigotry, harassment or intimidation” based on characteristics such as “gender identity” and “gender expression.”

A former staffer for former Presidents Bill Clinton and Joe Biden admitted Sunday that former Vice President Kamala Harris would not have displayed “the courage or fortitude” to take out Iran’s nuclear program. The United States struck sites in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan related to Iran’s effort to develop nuclear weapons early Sunday morning, using as many as 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators in the operation. Jamie Metzl, who served on the National Security Council staff during the Clinton administration and as a Senate staffer for Biden, said that while he backed Harris in the 2024 campaign, he was not a “blind tribalist” in a Sunday morning post on X.

After days of publicly mulling whether to join Israel in its military campaign against Iran, President Trump directed the U.S. military on Saturday to execute a complex attack on three of the nation’s nuclear sites with several American warplanes and submarines. Hours later, Mr. Trump declared the mission a “spectacular military success,” saying during a national address from the White House that U.S. forces had “completely and totally obliterated,” Iran’s nuclear program. “There’s no military in the world that could have done what we did tonight, not even close,” he said, standing in front of Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
