Mike Pinder, original keyboardist for The Moody Blues in both their original mid-1960s configuration as a pop/blues outfit and their better-known late-1960s/early-1970s gentle progressive rock quintet entity, died in his Northern California home on April 25, 2024, from an as-yet unstated cause. Pinder was 82. Pinder first came to public attention in 1965, when alongside singer/vocalist Ray Thomas and guitarist/vocalist Denny Laine, he appeared on the first Moody Blues album, “The Magnificent Moodies.” The album contained the band's first hit, “Go Now,” written by Larry Banks and Milton Bennett. With Laine on lead vocal, the Moody Blues’ version reached #1 in England and #10 in the United States. Follow-up success

Commentary in the liberal press is so uniform that you wonder whether reporters and commentators have coordinated their coverage, down to the word and the phrase. Well, they have, of course. You remember JournoList, where, years ago, reporters would gather to coordinate their pro-Democrat, anti-Republican stories. JournoList supposedly disbanded after it came to light, but I assume it more likely just went underground.

In his disturbing rantings, James claimed that "Zionists don't deserve to live" and said they should be exterminated like "nazis." Around 95 percent of Jews support the existence of a Jewish state, making them "Zionists." Paul: Electric cars are not new. When the 1901 Chicago Auto Show was staged, more than half of the fourteen vehicles that were shown at that show were electric vehicles. It's not a new idea at all. The problem is, is that there's this nasty little thing called practicality.

Americans support mass deportations of illegal aliens. I suspect they would support mass deportations of some legal aliens who express anti-American views as well, come to think of it. A New York judge ruled on Monday that the $175 million bond judgment against former President Donald Trump will remain intact despite New York Attorney General Letitia James's efforts to challenge it. James's legal team argued that the court should nullify Trump's reduced judgment of $175 million in his non-jury civil fraud trial. Her team raised concerns about the ability of Knight Specialty Insurance, the company behind the substantial bond, to actually pay the bond if necessary.

Four Florida teenagers have been killed after they were involved in a police chase in which officers used a maneuver designed to get a car to stop, but caused them to spin out of control. The four, who were between the ages of 14 and 16, attended Newberry High School in Bradford County, northeast of Gainesville. Ford Motor Company reported a whopping $132,000 loss on each electric vehicle (EV) sold during the first three months of 2024, amassing a $1.3 billion loss.
The auto manufacturer’s electric vehicle unit revealed Thursday that they experienced a 20 percent decrease in sales volume and were forced to slash prices due to low consumer demand, CNN reported. The revenue for Ford’s EV car, the Model e, plunged by 84 percent to about $100 million, which the company blamed on EV price cuts across the auto industry.
“That resulted in the $1.3 billion loss before interest and taxes (EBIT), and the massive per-vehicle loss in the Model e unit,” the publication noted.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that Ukraine and the U.S. government are “working on a bilateral security agreement” that would force Washington to provide Ukraine with military, economic, and political support for the next decade. In a statement issued on Sunday, Zelensky said that he and President Joe Biden are in talks to secure a deal that would give Ukraine U.S. taxpayer funds for the next ten years as its long-winded war with Russia continues.
