President Joe Biden said Friday he would be willing to debate former president Donald Trump, after months of declining to say definitively whether he planned to appear onstage alongside his Republican challenger.
“I am, somewhere. I don’t know when. But I’m happy to debate him,” Biden said when asked during an interview with Sirius XM radio host Howard Stern whether he is willing to debate Trump.
Trump adviser Chris LaCivita responded to Biden’s comments in a post on X: “Ok let’s set it up!”
Biden’s newfound willingness to debate comes after the five major TV news networks and the Associated Press reportedly sent an unprecedented letter

When Stern had listeners, he would have mercilessly mocked Biden's debilities.
Now, both are yesterday's news.

As long as Trump is bound and gagged, biden's team has all the questions submitted in writing 26 weeks in advance and moderated by rachel maddow In the msnbc studio with a live Hollywood audience.

The only thing worse for Biden - IF there is a debate - would be if his meds didn’t do their expected job & his earpiece were to malfunction, so that he couldn’t hear his responses clearly.

Is this the same Biden who refuses to talk to the press? You seriously believe Xiden's handlers are going to let him debate President Trump?

Wouldn't it be fun.... to have the HairSniffer's questions prearranged and his cue-card all set up..... then someone asks him different questions than the ones that he has been programmed for!
I recall a comedy routine along these lines on the Benny Hill show, many years ago.

There is a greater chance that Haley’s Comet will fly between my legs than there is of Dementia Joe debating Trump. A softball interview with morons like Stern and Colbert (both with terminal TDS) is one thing, but standing on a stage for 90 minutes without the questions and prepared answers written out, is another thing. His dementia would be on full display, especially the sundowner syndrome.

Ain't happening. There is no way on earth that FJB's minders and handlers would allow him to debate, because he's simply not capable of it. If he did, viewers would be treated to the most one-sided show ever seen. His communication skills are on a par with his walking skills. Watch him, though, when he steps away from the lectern. His arms start to come up into the jogging position, but they've told him not to do that anymore. He's going to break something essential when he, his bloody aviator shades, and his Bozo the Clown "steady" shoes go horizontal.

Observing recent history, any debate is not between the just the candidates, but between the Republican on one side, and the Democrat and the moderator panel on the other side. Dems will ensure that their "friends" are on the "moderator" panel. In other words, Candy Crowley on steroids.

I don't watch debates most of the time. They raise my blood pressure. But if Biden will actually get on a stage, find the podium, face the right direction to answer questions, I can't miss that. Probably be the funniest, most pathetic viewing of the year.

He can say he will debate Trump, but he knows that a lot could happen between now and November. Lawfare against Trump, arguing over who the moderator would be, the Middle East exploding, the next 9/11, a national ice cream shortage, etc
