Department of Energy to Require DEI Plans
from Research-Grant Applicants

Original Article

Posted By: Frederic F. Frew, 10/28/2022 11:41:54 AM

Beginning in fiscal year 2023, the Department of Energy will require applicants for research funding to explain how their research projects will incorporate the tenets of diversity, equity, and inclusion. According to the Department of Energy website, applicants will be required to attach a “Promoting Inclusive and Equitable Research (PIER) Plan” to their funding application in which they will “describe the activities and strategies” they’ll rely on “to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in their research projects.”

Comments:

The idiocy involved here is beyond comprehension. So a research team believes they can develop cold fusion and Biden admin will tell them, "Sorry, you're not diverse enough."

Oh great! Less science and productivity, more virtue signaling. Malinvestment brings capital destruction brings loss of production from the capital destruction brings loss of societal well being. Oh well, none of The Gullibles will notice until the brownouts affect them along with the loss of other goods and services. In the meantime they know they’re wonderful!

They really ought to rename them the "DIE" plans because they're going to kill a lot of companies and a lot of personal initiative because of the inherent racism favoring certain races over quality of work regardless of the race of those performing it.

If the election turns out the way we want, one of the first things I want to see is the prohibition of DEI and all its permutations. It’s racist and it’s evil.

At newspapers, obituaries are typically written in advance. The Washington Post had plenty to work with when the death of Lucianne Goldberg happened, but instead of remembering good, or at least balancing their summary, they selectively chose to remember the great muse of the right, Internet pioneer, and accomplished woman from a time when women weren't allowed much accomplishment, by printing only cherry-picked tales of dubious sourcing that made her look phony. It was garbage. It stood in stark contrast to the insightful and warm-hearted tweets that overwhelmingly were the consensus on Twitter, from wildly different parts of the Internet spectrum.
