Math, Reading Scores Plummeted to Lowest
Level in Decades during School Shutdowns

Elementary school students’ math and reading scores plummeted to the lowest level in decades amid the school shutdowns implemented in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, national test results released Thursday show.

Comments:

The lockdowns, especially by the fall of 2020, are solely the responsibility of Fauci, the Democrats, the media and the teachers unions. The drop in scores is all the more remarkable when you consider that these tests have been consistently dumbed down since the 1970s so they could show "progress."

I work at a university. One of the teachers refused to teach remotely. She divided her class into smaller groups and taught more sections of the course. I was talking to her and she predicted this lockdown would result in poor learning and have a bad impact on students. She was right.

I was teaching during 2020. School shut down in early march to go remote. The students did nothing and learned nothing. School was still closed the first few months of fall. The students did nothing and learned nothing. When school reopened, attendance was optional. Those that stayed home did nothing and learned nothing.

That was also my experience. Remote learning was a flop. Many students would log in and leave the room, coming back only at the end of the period.

This has nothing to do with adding 5 million more illegal aliens, many who are illiterate in their native tongue, to US public schools. This also has nothing to do with sane parents moving their kids to homeschool or private school to avoid the Marxist racist Gay priorities forced in public schools. This very basic explanation is beyond the grasp of the National Chamber of Commerce Review, which loves "cheap" labor no matter how expensive.

They said "we're the experts and we know what's best, listen to us" Well, scores are down so much, many of those children will be forever behind. But, let's make sure they say the correct pronoun even though they might not really know the meaning behind it all.

One of President Trump's most hated (by the Dem/Left) platform assertions was(is) America First, making sure the USA is Number One, and prosperous. For decades, the Left has fought to level the US, brings us down to size. The One World Government in the (ahem) dreams of the WEF demands no nation excelling above the others, to the point of "risking" starvation and worldwide poverty and desuetude. #2 puts it in a nutshell, they must get control over all people, not only easier if they are poor and struggling, but especially so if they are starving, freezing to death or burning to a crisp. So they educate the children into imbecility, they propagandize them to hate their own country, the brainwash them into total confusion over their essential Being, male or female, and yearning for Family and posterity. This is, in short, EVIL, DEMONIC.

On the other hand they can text twice as fast as me. Never mind that it's brainless drivel. Math is not counting and it's not arithmetic neither of which they are capable of. Who would have thought that The Matrix would be connected by their thumbs.

Likely worse than advertised. In my state, the public school teachers were caught changing test scores to improve the results. The ringleader was charged, but died prior to the trial.

Sam Harris deserves our gratitude. With dazzling honesty, the liberal atheist public intellectual from LA has said out loud what we all knew but which his ilk have blurred for the past two years: Once you decide Donald Trump is the second coming of Adolf Hitler, then anything is legitimate to stop him — and, yes, everything illegitimate was done to stop him in 2020, and it was “warranted.”

When candidate Joe Biden promised that if elected president he would unite the country, did he think he could do it alienating roughly half the population? Or did he mean he would unite the Democrats and independents against the “MAGA Republicans”? Thursday’s speech clearly indicates what he had in mind was the latter. Last week, Biden smeared Donald Trump supporters, calling them semi-fascists who practice “burn-it-all-down politics” and face “backwards full of anger, violence, hate and division.” One of the most appropriate and fitting responses we saw

Hayes said, “President Joe Biden just delivered an argument on behalf of American democracy. The speech is a response to the acute threat Donald Trump and what he calls MAGA Republicans continue to present to the future of the American experiment following his attempted coup and as they quite openly plot another.” He added, “Biden was reportedly inspired in part by a closed-door meeting with a group of historians

President Joe Biden’s Thursday evening speech targeting supporters of former President Donald Trump was mocked on social media, with many users poking fun at the stage. The speech, held in Philadelphia, marked continued attacks on supporters of Trump, reiterating earlier attacks in which he claimed Republicans embraced “semi-fascism” at an Aug. 25 fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in Maryland, and also attacked “MAGA Republicans” during a Tuesday speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Biden called “MAGA Republicans” a threat to democracy and doubled down on his rhetoric calling supporters of former President Donald trump “extremists.” WMAL talk show host Larry O’Connor threw the epithet Biden directed at Republicans back at the president.

Evans has introduced a bill that lays the groundwork for a proposed wind farm in Lake Michigan, about 10 miles from the shores of the Southeast Side. The bill sets up a fund that would help the state to compete for federal money, including $230 million for port infrastructure projects available from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Illinois would enter the race behind Ohio — where the Icebreaker wind farm in Lake Erie recently won a court battle that should allow construction of a demonstration project

Back in the 90s, at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the establishment media hammered home the proposition that the individual character of a chief executive didn’t matter. He could be a cheerful rogue and serial philanderer like Bill Clinton, but the Left insisted that was a private matter and that the only thing Americans should care about was that he was a competent and capable president (which he wasn’t, but that’s another story). These assertions have become the conventional wisdom since then, but Old Joe Biden is now putting them to the test. On Tuesday, Fox News’ Lisa Boothe enunciated a simple truth that shows

A recent top-secret cable sent by CIA Headquarters to its field stations apparently warned in stark terms of the loss of a substantial number of assets. In particular, the message focused on issues with the secure handling of sources and apparent errors made by CIA case officers that had led to the compromise of their sources. If true, this news ought to alarm every American, and drastic, corrective action ought to be taken immediately. CIA is taking a lot of hits these days. It should. Its leadership has gone dangerously astray and gotten involved in domestic political matters which should never be the province of a foreign intelligence organization.
