CALIFORNIA (WTVO) — With California’s power grid under strain due to extreme heat and high demand, the utility grid operator is asking residents to avoid charging their electric vehicles. This comes days after the state announced a plan to ban the sale of gas-powered cars by 2035.
The California Independent System Operator is asking residents for “voluntary energy conservation” over the Labor Day weekend.

Being a spokesperson for democrat fools has to be the worst job in the world, right after being Biden's body man and cleaning up his bed the next morning.

There is stupid and then there is California stupid. They don't even have enough basic electricity to power their homes and yet they're trying to force millions of people to buy electric cars? They would have no electricity for their cars or their homes. They would be living in the stone age. California stupid.

EVs time has come. Problems arise when the summers are too hot and the winters are too cold.

The irony of this is lost on green California. If they required heat through winter like the Midwest or Northerners they would have a different outlook.

Just think how easy it will be to keep us deplorables in their homes next time Big Brother decides it's for our own good. Just turn of the power to the recharging stations. Nobody goes anywhere. This sends a chill down my spine.

You can make $50 billion available for charging stations instead of $5 billion, where is the juice going to come from? This whole thing would be funny if it were not so serious.

Hey! I'm doing my part. I'm definitely NOT charging an EV. PLUS, I'm pumping energy INTO the grid. I have been getting a rebate every since the gov't paid me to put panels on my roof. Thanks, Moonbeam!

The irony is not lost. It's going to be really difficult to charge all those EV's without having the electric infrastructure to handle the load. Good luck Californians.

Extreme heat forecasted for California. Will be blackouts. So degrees over 100 and no air conditioning. No escape because your electric car can not get a charge. What to do? Just a hint of times to come

Know what is scary? Gavin Newsom took a tour of the WH when Biden was out of the country. Sounds to me like he is being possibly groomed as a replacement for Biden, or possibly Harris.

California spends all their time telling their residents what to do. That is the problem.

Elective suffering.
Literally.
Anytime they want the madness to stop, they can vote for sanity.
Will they?

Now you're stuck in your house. You've almost used up your electricity allotment. Your car sits idly in the carport, on the verge of being dead.
Now imagine an earthquake, or an emergency-- an accident, a baby ready to emerge into the world early (one of the few to survive the womb in California), or a volcano, or heart attack or appendicitis, or a family member is in such predicaments. How about wildfires? we know how often citizens have to jump in their vehicles on a moment's notice to escape the flames.
Other than large-scale natural disaster, personal crises of all kinds are all the time.
Any "governing authority" forcing the populace into these perilous conditions is derelict in his or her duties to protect and provide for safety. Will the Californians continue to lie down and allow themselves to be run over and crushed.

is that like putting the cart before the horse?, typical California politics
- this is your best example of a communist government in action, right now, in our country, some other demcommie states have some degree of tolerance for opposite opinions, etc but not California

So, let’s see: CA says it will soon forbid the sale of gas powered cars so that people will buy EVs. Then when some people buy EVs, CA tells them they can’t use them because they have to stop charging them. There are times in this country when I feel I am losing my mind as I try to reconcile what Democrats are doing to this country and their words about how they’re trying to help.
