Kamala Harris is ready for her comeback! That’s right, the candidate who has shown no particular talent for winning national presidential elections, or even achieving the nomination of her own party via democratic means, is very likely going to run again, in 2028. She said as much in a recent interview with the BBC. (Snip) What was true in the last election cycle, and in 2019, remains true now: Kamala Harris is a very, very weak candidate for the Democratic Party. When she pursued the presidency in 2019, her campaign faltered badly from the start: she demonstrated no real ability

It was the world's largest invasion force ever assembled. But when they marched on Russia, French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's "Grande Armee" was doomed to failure and death, and not just on the battlefield.
Now, a French research team has uncovered two new culprits that contributed to the annihilation of the 500,000-strong army during the 1812 Russian campaign.
The killers? Two species of bacteria, responsible for causing fever.
It's a surprise finding by a French research paleogenomic group led by scientists at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France.

The mystery donor who gave $130 million to the government to help pay U.S. troops during the federal shutdown has been identified as businessman Timothy Mellon, heir to former treasury secretary Andrew Mellon.
Mellon, 83, has been a major financial backer of President Donald Trump and other Republicans, according to the New York Times.
He became a Republican during the 1980s, lives in Wyoming, and doesn’t appear to have had a photo published of himself in decades.
Trump has described the reclusive billionaire as a “friend”, “great American” and “patriot,” while declining to name him.

A college financial aid advisor allegedly strangled his girlfriend before setting fire to their upstate New York home while she and their newborn baby were inside, according to authorities and reports.
Kidane Haile, 30, was indicted Thursday after a horrific scene unfolded at 8:35 a.m. on Oct. 18 when Buffalo firefighters responded to a blaze at an apartment on Norwood Avenue, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
Inside the home, first responders found Haile’s girlfriend, 29-year-old Kathleen “Katie” Carrig, and their 4-day-old son, Noah, unresponsive. Both the mother and son were pronounced dead on the scene, prosecutors said.
Haile strangled Carrig before setting the house ablaze, prosecutors alleged.

One of the lowest points in recent American history had to be when then-president of the United States, Joe Biden, and his director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, denied the existence of Antifa.
Let me re-word that: not too long ago, the president of the United States and his number one law enforcement agent publicly denied the existence of a group of violent commie anarchist yobbos who exist to tear down the country. FACT-O-RAMA! Antifa was created by the German Communist Party in 1932.
Why would Biden and Wray do such a thing? Because the Democratic Party is in cahoots with Antifa and shares their goal of toppling the U.S. government.

Some Antifa leaders want to switch up the domestic terrorist group's costumes to look more on-brand. They want to look a little less like ISIS and more like Hamas jihadis. They want their look to reflect the seriousness of their cause, which is to hurt people, break things, and bring about their communist revolutionary utopia by any means necessary.
The word of the proposed uniform change came during an anarchist book fair in Oakland, Calif. at a panel discussion on ways to stick it to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other fed officers. Three independent reporters using hidden camera infiltrated the fair.

CBS News’ Bari Weiss isn’t wasting any time trying to retool the outlet that’s been marred by liberal bias and institutional rot. Weiss was named editor-in-chief after CBS’s parent company bought her Free Press publication, which she built from scratch following her contentious exit from The New York Times editorial writing staff. Weiss fled the paper due to its newsroom becoming a woke toxic waste dump, fraught with antisemites and anti-Israel zealots.

It’s easy to see why this is happening. AI is always available, endlessly patient, and unfailingly agreeable. Millions now pour their secrets into silicon confidants, comforted by algorithms that respond with affirmation and tact. But what masquerades as friendship is, in fact, a dangerous substitute. One of Curtis Silwa’s staunchest supporters in the orthodox Jewish community is dropping the Republican and instead backing ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the mayoral race against front-runner Zohran Mamdani.
Americans Against Antisemitism founder Dov Hikind – who formerly represented the heavily orthodox Borough Park and Midwood as a state Assemblyman from 1983 to 2018 – said he flipped because Cuomo offered a better chance at stopping Mamdani, the Democratic nominee.

The socialist mayoral front-runner made the revelation during a press conference after critics seized on his story, sharing photos on social media of an aunt of his without a hijab.

But Mamdani had a 20-point lead over Cuomo in Suffolk University’s prior poll conducted in September. It’s Suffolk’s first survey since Mayor Eric Adams completely dropped his re-election bid and endorsed Cuomo.

Within the first two weeks of the ongoing government shutdown, agency heads reportedly sent permanent layoff notices to about 4,000 federal employees under the guidance of Director of the Office of Management and Budget Russ Vought. But compared to the private sector, this is a proverbial drop in the bucket.
The partial lapse in government funding has dragged on for 27 days now as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and 44 other senators continue to block the “clean” government funding measure that the House passed in September. As a result of the funding lapse, Vought says that 10,000 federal employees could ultimately

As of October 2025, President Trump has made good on an unprecedented number of campaign promises, everything from securing the border and demanding that Europe increase its defense spending to renegotiating fairer trade deals with U.S. partners, ending wars, eliminating woke and DEI programs, ending the so-called climate crisis hysteria, restoring pride in the military, reducing crime in major cities, conducting large-scale deportations, and treating drug cartels as both terrorist and invading forces.

A newly discovered butterfly species has been named after Iryna Zarutska, the 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who was brutally stabbed to death in North Carolina on a Charlotte light rail train in August.
Zarutska, who fled war-torn Ukraine seeking safety in America, was savagely attacked from behind and stabbed in the neck by a repeat criminal, Decarlos Brown Jr., 31, while riding the train.
Surveillance video captured the gruesome attack, during which bystanders showed no concern for Zarutska as she bled to death.
To honor her memory, lepidopterist Harry Pavulaan, a 70-year-old scientist who discovered the new butterfly species in the southeastern U.S., named it “Celastrina iryna” or “Iryna’s Azure.”

Occasionally, we hear reminders of late in the news that the U.S. government is in a period of shutdown. This one, among the nation’s longest sustained appropriation lapses, has disrupted daily life less than others. Unlike during the Obama years, we don’t see the National Park Service closing off monuments or blocking scenic highway overlooks with traffic cones for dramatic effect. But many important missions are impacted. I learned yesterday that the Religious Liberty Commission’s work has been classified as non-essential, so it has been paused. As always, however, the Department of War is deemed an essential agency.

Communist Democrats are having a bit of a moment right now, and that's not good news for America.
With what looks like the impending victory of Zohran Mamdani in New York City's mayoral race, confidence is exploding on the far left. With that, any idea that moderation might follow the 2024 election has become nothing but dust in the wind. The Democratic Party is diving headfirst into its own radicalism, politically and culturally.
On Sunday evening, we saw what that looks like, as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders held a massive rally for Mamdani. The former delivered several moments that left conservatives mocking her online.

The report revealed some of what the DNC is hearing from its donors, and it's not good.
They ultimately found someone to host, but got less than they expected.
That's brutal. And it tells you what they think about Kamala Harris, at least at this point. She's dropping hints she may run, but I don't think she will find an encouraging reception. That may explain why Democrats have so much less in the bank than Republicans. There's also a concern about the radicals, and if the DNC is focused in the right direction.

In the late 1850s, “Bleeding Kansas” was the term used to describe the escalating cycle of violence, when surrogates for the Union and soon-to-be Confederacy fought each other over whether Kansas would be admitted as a free or slave-owning state.
As the assaults and killings increased, radicals set the agenda. The logical next step was the nightmares of Fort Sumter and Bull Run.
Those calling for restraint and peaceful resolutions were considered weak and traitorous. The thuggish and violent, instead, were praised as the true idealists and patriots, the real “base” of their respective parties.

As the government shutdown winds on, Democrats continue to hold the federal government hostage because, they claim, “premiums will double” if Congress does not extend Covid-era enhanced Obamacare subsidies.
I’ve debunked that topic in detail here and elsewhere, but to quickly summarize the argument: 1) The federal government will still pay on average 75-80 percent of enrollees’ premiums if the enhanced subsidies expire. 2) Nearly half of Exchange enrollees currently pay nothing in out-of-pocket premiums for benchmark coverage, which the Congressional Budget Office and others have concluded has led to over $10 billion in fraud every year. 3) Focusing on relative (i.e., percentage) increases ignores the comparatively modest effects

The fake outrage over the Trump administration’s renovations to the White House and the building of a new ballroom is no exception. While I don’t know, I’m willing to bet that the latest strategy from the left is not only strategic in the sense it was cooked up in a “Democrat strategist” conference room, but I’ll go further and say they likely focus-grouped it to see if it would resonate.

A fighter jet and a helicopter based off the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz both crashed into the South China Sea within 30 minutes of each other, the Navy’s Pacific Fleet said.
The three crew members of the MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter were rescued on Sunday afternoon, and the two aviators in the F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jet ejected and were recovered safely, and all five “are safe and in stable condition,” the fleet said in a statement.
The causes of the two crashes were under investigation, the statement said.
Another aircraft carrier, the USS Harry S. Truman, suffered a series of mishaps in recent months while deployed to the Middle East.

There’s been a lot of talk in recent weeks about shrinking the federal government workforce. Is this something Americans want? Not necessarily. The latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows that most Americans think the federal workforce should either be larger or the same size.
This month’s national online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, asked 1,459 participants: “Overall, do you think the federal workforce today is: 1) too large and should be reduced; 2) too small and should be expanded; 3) about the right size; and 4) Not sure.”
The responses were nearly evenly split

Big Pharma is panicking. The Trump administration’s probe into international pharmaceutical pricing and its executive order to reduce the cost of drugs by up to 80 percent come as both President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. urge Americans to put fitness and lifestyle ahead of popping pills.Big Pharma is responsible for setting the price of drugs. So, in order to maintain this power, it’s no wonder the industry has promised to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in infrastructure here in the U.S. It also pledged to provide financial assistance to millions of patients who have been-

Here we go.
Senator Lindsey Graham on Sunday issued an ominous warning to Venezuela’s Maduro.
Lindsey Graham appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation” and told host Margaret Brennan that he doesn’t believe Maduro will stay around much longer.
Margaret Brennan asked Lindsey Graham about the US potentially expanding military operations inside Venezuela after the Pentagon ordered the deployment of USS Gerald Ford to the Caribbean Sea to “combat drug trafficking.”
“It’s time for Maduro to go. I hope Maduro would leave peacefully, but I don’t think he’s going to stay around much longer,” Lindsey Graham casually said.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent absolutely eviscerated ABC host Martha Raddatz’s attempt to peddle the tired Democrat narrative on the ongoing Schumer shutdown.
During an interview on This Week, Raddatz pressed Bessent with a sob story about suffering federal employees hitting food banks, pressing Bessent on whether the President should bother meeting with Democrats again.
But Bessent wasn’t having any of it. He fired back with unassailable facts, reminding Americans who’s really holding the nation hostage.

When I saw the World Bank quietly bump China’s 2025 growth projection to 4.8 percent (up from 4.0), I raised an eyebrow—not because Beijing can’t engineer a rebound in the short run, but because the narrative behind the number is riddled with smoke, mirrors, and national ambitions disguised as technocratic optimism.
Let’s be clear: China’s leadership is always playing two simultaneous games. One is real—rebuilding factories, pushing infrastructure, and subtler consumer stimulus. The other is symbolic—sending the world a message that, despite internal tensions, debt bubbles, and demographic drag, it remains the engine of global growth. The World Bank’s new forecast plays right into that second game.

When President Trump convinced AstraZeneca (on October 10) and Pfizer (on September 30) to lower their Medicare and Medicaid prices to match those charged in other countries, it was a major victory for American consumers. For decades, Americans have paid the highest prescription drug prices in the world, effectively subsidizing other nations’ cheaper costs. Trump finally forced Big Pharma to play fair.
Even billionaire Mark Cuban had to admit it was a win. “Look at the Pfizer stock price,” he told The Washington Reporter. “It went up. This can be a positive for sure.” But in the very next breath,

One of the most popular and unintentionally hilarious bands in rock’s post-grunge, nu-metal era (the mid-to-late 1990s) was Rage Against the Machine, a Los Angeles-based quartet that was formed in 1991 and became globally famous in 1995 and 1996. The band—fronted by lead singer Zack de la Rocha and renowned guitarist Tom Morello—was popular because it was loud, funky, and nonconformist. It was unintentionally hilarious because it was “nonconformist” in the most conformist ways possible while rebelling against a peaceful and prosperous nation, largely lacking in major conflicts.
The decade of the 1990s, you may recall, was something of a golden era in American history.

While the government remains shut down because Democrats demand free healthcare for illegal immigrants, President Trump has ordered a sweeping audit of federal programs to ensure that other taxpayer-funded benefits are not being distributed to illegal aliens.
The order encompasses at least 28 major programs across multiple federal agencies. Housing audits include the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and public housing.
The Department of Health and Human Services is reviewing 13 programs, including Head Start, Community Health Centers, Medicaid, and the Title X Family Planning Program, as well as a range of behavioral health and substance abuse grants. Nutrition and welfare

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., Texas) owned stocks in at least 25 companies that she did not disclose to the public during her first congressional run in 2022, even though she'd quietly admitted to the holdings the previous year as a Texas state legislator. Crockett also didn't reveal the stock holdings once she got to Washington in 2023.
The far-left firebrand's impressive financial portfolio—according to records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon through a public records request—clashes with her image as an eco-warrior and beacon of progressivism. Further, Crockett, a self-described civil rights attorney, was an active stakeholder in the cannabis business—seeking unsuccessfully to open marijuana dispensaries in Ohio—even as she represented,

Sometimes the truth doesn’t just contradict the narrative—it obliterates it entirely. When the liberal media sets up a segment to indict the Republican Party over an issue, the last thing they expect is for their guest to flip the script with bipartisan accountability. When Jake Tapper tried to make Republican redistricting the villain in America's gerrymandering crisis during Sunday's State of the Union, Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't having it. The former California governor delivered a masterclass in bipartisan reality that left CNN's host scrambling to change topics.

It is by now blindingly obvious to any rational observer of American politics that the Democratic Party is circling the drain. Depending on which poll you believe, its favorability rating among U.S. adults is somewhere between 23 percent (CNBC) and 34 percent (CBS). Nor is it difficult to divine what has led to this dismal state of affairs — the party has lurched so far to the left that most of its iconic leaders would be regarded as too conservative to win the Democratic presidential nomination.
