It has been somewhat amusing to watch Democrats twist themselves into pretzels to justify their continued support for miscreants and reprobates, while still trying to claim the moral high ground when it comes to President Donald Trump.
In the span of just one week, we’ve seen them rush to defend a Senate candidate, Graham Platner, who didn’t just sport a Nazi tattoo on his chest, but a tattoo of a skull favored by guards at Nazi concentration camps. A guy who spouted anti-gay slurs on social media.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, speaking for all Democrats, washes his hands of it.

President Trump hailed his Argentinian counterpart, Javier Milei, as a “big victor” Monday after Milei’s party defied opinion polls to make big gains in the South American country’s legislative elections.
“Wow! That was a big win! In Argentina, I want to congratulate the victor. He was a BIG victor, he had a lot of help from us!” the president exulted to reporters on Air Force One en route to Japan from Malaysia. “It was unexpected!”With partial results reported, Milei’s La Libertad Avanza had increased its seats in the Chamber of Deputies to at least 64 from 37 and gained at least six seats in the Argentine Senate.

In the late 1850s, “Bleeding Kansas” was the term used to describe the escalating cycle of violence, when surrogates for the Union and soon-to-be Confederacy fought each other over whether Kansas would be admitted as a free or slave-owning state.
As the assaults and killings increased, radicals set the agenda. The logical next step was the nightmares of Fort Sumter and Bull Run.
Those calling for restraint and peaceful resolutions were considered weak and traitorous. The thuggish and violent, instead, were praised as the true idealists and patriots, the real “base” of their respective parties.

The U.S. Secret Service, alongside local law enforcement and state agency partners, conducted an Electronic Benefit Transfer fraud and payment card skimming outreach operation in Baltimore and the surrounding area on Oct. 22-23.
Personnel visited 493 businesses and removed 22 illegal skimming devices, preventing an estimated potential loss of nearly $22.9 million. More than 3,000 point-of-sale terminals, gas pumps and ATMs were inspected.
Teams also distributed educational materials about Electronic Benefit Transfer fraud and skimming to businesses to help them better identify the warning signs of illegal skimming devices in their point-of-sale terminals, gas pumps and ATMs.

A Virginia federal prosecutor who opposed bringing bank fraud charges against New York Attorney General Letitia James was fired after allegedly mishandling sensitive information related to the case, according to a report.
Beth Yusi, who had worked out of the Norfolk office for the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, allegedly sent investigative files containing James’ personally identifying information to her private email account, CNN reported on Friday, citing an internal email. Yusi, who had been employed by the Justice Department since 2010, was axed earlier this month.
Several media reports suggested Yusi was fired for pushing back against pressure from the Trump administration to charge James.

Eleanor Holmes Norton, a non-voting delegate representing the District of Columbia, has the “early stages of dementia,” according to a police report detailing how scammers took advantage of the oldest member of the House of Representatives.
Norton, 88, was duped by multiple suspects Thursday who went to her Washington, DC, home claiming to be HVAC workers, according to an internal police report obtained by NBC News4.
The swindlers charged $4,362 to the Democratic congresswoman’s credit card without performing any work.

In a dramatic escalation of the Trump administration’s maritime war on narco-terrorism, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced the first lethal military strike outside the Caribbean Sea — targeting and destroying a drug-smuggling vessel off Colombia’s Pacific coast. Hegseth announced the eighth military strike against a narco-terrorist drug smuggling vessel on Wednesday. The military strike that destroyed the boat and killed two on board is the first to be conducted outside the Caribbean Sea area of operations.

The propaganda press was sick less than a year ago over a tattoo of the Jerusalem Cross on Pete Hegseth’s chest. They called his Christian markings “white supremacist and extremist,” as they tried to derail his confirmation for secretary of defense. Some mistakenly thought the cross was a Nazi swastika. It isn’t.
Now the press is making excuses for the actual Nazi symbol that was tattooed on Maine’s Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner’s chest. Platner would challenge Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins, if he can make it through the primary against Maine Gov. Janet Mills.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Todd Lyons said Wednesday that New York City will see more immigration arrests, after protesters confronted agents during an operation.
“You will see an increase in ICE arrests because there are so many criminals and illegal aliens that have been released in New York, specifically,” Lyons said in a Fox News interview. You will see us making those criminal arrests to make New York safe again. It’s definitely intelligence driven, it’s not random,” Lyons said. “We aren’t pulling people off the street. There was a specific reason based on criminal intelligence and criminal activity that we showed up on Canal Street.”

If Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor and implements the changes he is promising, expect the city's financial condition and public safety to deteriorate rapidly. Think criminal bedlam, antisemitic rioters allowed full rein, and cutbacks to basic city services.
In such a crisis, desperate New Yorkers will look to Albany, where the governor has virtually unlimited power to curb the mayor's authority or remove him, even if no crime has been committed.
There is a safety valve, if a governor is willing to use it.
Before removing a mayor, state law requires the governor to present grievances against the mayor at a formal hearing.

On November 5, 2024, Donald Trump won the United States presidential election against Kamala Harris. It was a convincing win. Trump snagged victory in the Electoral College, where the contest is officially decided, 312 to 226. He needed only 270 to prevail. He also won the popular vote (a nice but unnecessary distinction), with 77,302,580 votes to 75,017,613, a margin of almost 2 million votes.
I mention these well-known facts to underscore the black comedy of the “No Kings” protests taking place across the country as I write. According to several sources, some 2500 separate protests are planned. Millions of people are expected to join in the fun.

The IDF began “a series of strikes” against Hamas targets in southern Gaza in response to the terror group violating the ceasefire agreement on Sunday, the military announced.
The military condemned Hamas’s “blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement,” which occurred when the terror group fired an anti-tank missile and opened fire on Israeli soldiers.
Earlier, the Prime Minister's Office announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had instructed Israel's armed forces to respond with force against Gazan terror targets during a consultation with Defense Minister Israel Katz and the heads of Israel's security establishment.
