The fight over the shutdown is coming to a head this week as Democrats appear ready to cave after one of their biggest union backers, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), called for the Democrats to end the shutdown by supporting a Republican stopgap money bill, passed in the House last month, that would fund the government until at least the Thanksgiving holidays. Republicans are working on another stopgap funding bill to keep the government fully funded until Christmas.
Also, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson has informed the White House that they cannot tap a $5 billion contingency fund to pay for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

As of October 2025, President Trump has made good on an unprecedented number of campaign promises, everything from securing the border and demanding that Europe increase its defense spending to renegotiating fairer trade deals with U.S. partners, ending wars, eliminating woke and DEI programs, ending the so-called climate crisis hysteria, restoring pride in the military, reducing crime in major cities, conducting large-scale deportations, and treating drug cartels as both terrorist and invading forces.
His list of accomplishments is so extensive that it almost feels ungrateful to ask for more.

A newly discovered butterfly species has been named after Iryna Zarutska, the 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who was brutally stabbed to death in North Carolina on a Charlotte light rail train in August.
Zarutska, who fled war-torn Ukraine seeking safety in America, was savagely attacked from behind and stabbed in the neck by a repeat criminal, Decarlos Brown Jr., 31, while riding the train.
Surveillance video captured the gruesome attack, during which bystanders showed no concern for Zarutska as she bled to death.
To honor her memory, lepidopterist Harry Pavulaan, a 70-year-old scientist who discovered the new butterfly species in the southeastern U.S., named it “Celastrina iryna” or “Iryna’s Azure.”

The case of 18-year-old Jesse Mack Butler has ignited anger and accusations of systemic failure after a “sweetheart plea deal” allowed a young man facing what could have been nearly 80 years behind bars to avoid serious prison time.
In early 2024, Butler, then 17 and a student at Stillwater Public Schools, was charged with 11 counts, including rape, attempted rape, rape by instrumentation, sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy, strangulation, and domestic assault/battery by strangulation, KJRH reported.
The allegations spanned two high-school girlfriends, and court documents say one victim was left near death after being choked;

Occasionally, we hear reminders of late in the news that the U.S. government is in a period of shutdown. This one, among the nation’s longest sustained appropriation lapses, has disrupted daily life less than others. Unlike during the Obama years, we don’t see the National Park Service closing off monuments or blocking scenic highway overlooks with traffic cones for dramatic effect. But many important missions are impacted. I learned yesterday that the Religious Liberty Commission’s work has been classified as non-essential, so it has been paused. As always, however, the Department of War is deemed an essential agency.

Communist Democrats are having a bit of a moment right now, and that's not good news for America.
With what looks like the impending victory of Zohran Mamdani in New York City's mayoral race, confidence is exploding on the far left. With that, any idea that moderation might follow the 2024 election has become nothing but dust in the wind. The Democratic Party is diving headfirst into its own radicalism, politically and culturally.
On Sunday evening, we saw what that looks like, as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders held a massive rally for Mamdani. The former delivered several moments that left conservatives mocking her online.

Billy Joe Cagle, a convicted felon, has been charged via criminal complaint with attempted violence at an international airport, interstate communications containing threats to injure the person of another, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to U.S. Attorney Hertzberg, the charges, and other information presented in court: On October 20, 2025, Billy Joe Cagle was on a FaceTime call where he allegedly threatened to “shoot up the airport.” The airport he referenced was Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. On the call while he was driving, Cagle allegedly stated, “I’m at the airport, and I’m gonna go rat-a-tat-tat,” after which he abruptly ended the call.

Federal authorities arrested a Minnesota man on October 16 for allegedly offering a $45,000 bounty for U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on video video-sharing platform TikTok.
Tyler Maxon Avalos was detained in Ramsesy County on several charges. Avalos allegedly posted a murder-for-hire style threat against Bondi in a post on TikTok, which is a violation of a federal law prohibiting interstate transmission of a threat to injure another person, according to the affidavit.
The FBI discovered the alleged threat after receiving a tip at the agency’s National Threat Operations Center about a “threatening post against United States Attorney General Pam Bondi.”

Karine Jean-Pierre's book tour is shaping up to be an absolute train wreck, and honestly, she has no one to blame but herself. The former White House press secretary is getting destroyed for her role in one of the most brazen attempted cover-ups in presidential history: hiding Joe Biden's obvious mental and physical decline from the American people. Last week, CNN called her out, and she was clearly unprepared, and now, MSNBC of all places joined in.
And once again, she did not handle it well.
Let’s rewind a bit.

Nothing leftists do is organic. Everything is a contrivance. A calculated lie. The fake outrage over the Trump administration’s renovations to the White House and the building of a new ballroom is no exception. While I don’t know, I’m willing to bet that the latest strategy from the left is not only strategic in the sense it was cooked up in a “Democrat strategist” conference room, but I’ll go further and say they likely focus-grouped it to see if it would resonate.
They may have gotten just enough of a response to indicate it could work for them. It could gain traction.

Back in the bar-hopping days of my youth, the telltale sign of a high-quality nightclub was twofold:
Must have a minimal (or no) cover charge, and the beers can’t be crazy expensive. (Pro Tip: If there’s a clean mint in the urinal, you’re paying too much for your drinks.)
Must have hot babes. (Snip) But what if I told you there’s a place that utterly defies this male-female dynamic — a place overflowing with single, desperate women… and young men STILL avoid it like the plague?
Remember those “No Kings” protests? Turns out, the name was dead-on accurate: There were no kings.
In fact, there weren’t many men there at all.

Calls rang out for lawmakers in Illinois to face charges after details of doxxing federal immigration enforcement operations were distributed, “putting a target on agents’ backs …”
From sit-ins to marches and “fiery but mostly peaceful” protests, the left has a longstanding tradition of elevating and rewarding agitators and disruptors — so much so that members of the Squad had even pretended to be handcuffed. Now it seemed that state officials in the Land of Lincoln were goading Attorney General Pam Bondi to hold them accountable as they emailed constituents the makes, models, license plate numbers, and whereabouts of vehicles used toward deportation efforts.
Comments:
The left hates the military and this reaction to a private donation proves it!!
