Fire Alarm Scandal Raises New Questions
About Cocainegate

Original Article

On Saturday, a fire alarm went off in the Cannon House Office Building (snip) It took little time after the story broke for Capitol Police to review surveillance footage and determine that Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) was the culprit. The impressive ability of the Capitol Hill police to review the footage and release a still from that footage to the public stands in sharp contrast to the inability of the White House and Secret Service to reveal who is responsible for bringing a bag of cocaine into the White House a few months ago.

Eight Republican representatives, led by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), on Tuesday successfully carried a motion to vacate, meaning Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is no longer speaker of the House. Several of the representatives have spoken out to explain why they ousted McCarthy. There was a running theme in the comments criticizing McCarthy, who cut deals on spending with Democrats despite the fact that America cannot afford continued high spending, for his financial irresponsibility.

The documents released by the House Ways and Means Committee last week shed new light on Hunter Biden’s reported interactions with escorts, including his claiming a tax deduction for payments to the women as business expenses. The documents also disclose documentation of investigators considering Mann Act charges. (snip) In his closed door testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee this summer, whistleblower Ziegler identified tens of thousands of dollars in payments that Hunter Biden made to prostitutes and a sex club. These payments were deducted as business expenses on his tax returns,

In the 24 hours or so since the news broke that California Gov. Gavin Newsom had chosen Laphonza Butler to replace Dianne Feinstein (snip) the bulk of the news about the appointment has swirled around the fact that Butler has lived in Maryland for at least the last two years and wasn't even registered to vote in California. (snip) Anyway, now we're learning something new that should disqualify Butler, and that's her on-the-record support for convicted corrupt California politician Mark Ridley-Thomas. (snip) Ridley-Thomas was convicted earlier this year, and Butler was one of dozens of California Democrats who wrote to the judge asking for leniency in sentencing.
