Gingrich says House GOP should expel ‘anti-Republican’ Gaetz

Original Article

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) on Tuesday called on House Republicans to expel Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and defeat his motion to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from his post.[Snip]Gingrich added that Gaetz was in violation of a House Republican Conference rule that says a motion to vacate “should only be available with the agreement of the Republican Conference so as to not allow Democrats to choose the Speaker.” Gingrich argues that an agreement made when McCarthy became Speaker to allow any member to advance a motion to vacate did not supersede the conference rules.

Comments:

Although being posted after the fact, this is an interesting opinion from Former Speaker Gingrich about Matt Gaetz being referred to as “anti-Republican,” engaging in “childish behavior ... destructive to the conservative movement,” and “should be expelled from the House Republican Conference.” Mr. Gingrich believes House Republicans “have far more important things to do than entertain one member’s ego.”

Of course Newt would know all about being anti-Republican. As far as I know, he's a lifetime member of the Washington swamp as is the Republican Conference. They're the ones who decide who we get to vote for.

Seems like none of the GOP bigshots are perturbed by the fact that McCarthy got elected Speaker by promising certain things and then didn't do them.

Glory to God. We pray for brave leaders to arise to tell the truth to America and their voters, and we got Matt Gaetz. The swamp said, “Bring it.” We did and it was the right move toward demanding accountability OF OUR OWN in history of the House. Newt Gingrich exposed in Peter Switzer’s book and he is a joke to be thinking he speaks for conservatism. FOX is exactly where he belongs. God bless Matt Gaetz and the small group of courageous Republicans who stood beside him to vacate Kevin McCarthy.

You should know, Gingrich, they got rid of you. The conservatives extracted a promise from McCarthy that he would use the purse, but he chose to join the Democrats, and the conservatives did what they said they would do, and that is get rid of McCarthy. I am glad they did.

Let's see. Matt Gaetz and the morons who follow him voted against a CR that would have cut spending by eight percent and would beef up the border. They then were presented with a bill that cut every department, except Defense, Homeland Security and veterans by 30 percent. If passed it would have forced Mitch McConnell to get off his fat behind and deal with Schumer. Gaetz and company voted against that. What ultimately passed was the same old same old. As a taxpayer, I condemn Gaetz and his kamikazes. It's no surprise that Gaetz is the favorite House Republican of Joe Biden, Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell. I wish Republicans weren't so terrified of shutting down the government but thanks to Gaetz we get more spending, no border funding and no government shutdown. Gaetz and company had no plan, no ability to make their case but due to their hatred of McCarthy they have made the Republicans, yet again, the laughing stock.

I love it. Newt, Levin, and others who think Gaetz is wrong, are now Rinos and need to shut up. In the meantime, Gaetz and Nancy Mace have no plan except to fundraise big time. The Republicans truly are the stupid party. One question I have is, if all of the Rinos are told to get lost, who will end up voting in 2024. We don’t have enough voters as it is to win. We’re probably looking at a Democrat Speaker of the House right now.

here's the paradox: neut snipes at matt from a safe distance, perhaps with the permission of higher ups? who knows. constantly, the danger cartel is roiling with unprecedented hate and fear; enough to make any Speaker fearful and unnerved at the daily requirements of appeasing the demands of higher ups in conflict. k mcc said 'bring it' , but never doubted the inevitability of losing the Chair. the 1 person truly in danger, one supposes, is matt, who had to be the adult in charge, of controlled use of power under stress. how much undeserved reviling is being directed at him, alone? ldots, matt needs your prayers of protection, en masse and without ceasing...as does pdt.

RINOs to right of us and RINOs to left, and we were stuck in the middle with Kevin McCarthy as the dummy and the Dems as the ventriloquist. I wasn't OK with that. McCarthy promised regular budgeting with appropriations bills for each federal department, just like it used to be done back in the old days. It is the key to get any type of control over our federal deficit spending and debt. Fifteen (15) years of "continuing resolutions" of the 2008 budget is enough! He promised the public release of the J6 tapes. Where are they? Multiple Committee hearing investigations that go nowhere are enough! Writing blank checks to fund foreign wars without Congressional approval is enough! McCarthy was counting on the patient patriots to once again take it on the chin "for the good of the country", not to "give bad optics to the Democrats". Well, I ask all of you shaking in your boots tonight; when do we fight? Do we wait until we have a super majority to pass our agenda? Everyone complains that the Repubs don't fight like the Dems do, but when some of them do take up the fight the Garden Party contingent clutches their pearls and retreat to the fainting couch. Well, lucky for you, smelling salts are on sale at Rite-Aid. MAGA REVENGE - GO MATT GAETZ

With Tuesday’s relatively easy passage of an Ohio constitutional amendment that effectively bars that state’s legislature from regulating abortion in the state, abortion advocates are now convinced that they not only have the public on their side but have found political gold. As the pro-life movement assesses the damage caused by the codifying of unrestricted abortion into the state of Ohio’s constitution on Tuesday, perhaps the worst outcome is not even the sure compounding of abuse of women and the carnage of preborn children to come, but rather the spiritual harm this has done to the souls of the reported 2.1 million individuals who ratified this “demonic” amendment.[Snip]Most fundamental to these is the inherent human right to life, which proceeds from the very nature of every human being.

In the aftermath of another disappointing election night for Republicans, questions need to be asked about supposedly non-partisan get-out-the-vote (GOTV) operations Democrats are using to ensure their low-propensity voters – and only their low-propensity voters – get to the polls. On March 7, 2021, Executive Order on Promoting Access to Voting, President Joe Biden instructed every federal agency to submit a plan to leverage their agency’s personnel and assets to help turn out the vote. For example, agencies might use internal data to identify aid recipients who are not registered to vote, then use agency personnel to get them registered and ensure their ballot is cast and counted.

Bill Maher has slammed Barack Obama for his 'moral equivalency' over the Gaza war after the former president called Israel's Palestinian occupation 'unbearable.' The comedian said: 'The attack was only a month ago, a more savage attack than we've ever seen in reverse. There's a big difference in collateral damage and what Hamas did.' The Islamist terror group slaughtered 1,200 civilians and took more than 200 hostage in its massacre on October 7. Since then, the Palestinians claim more than 10,000 people have died in Israel's bombing campaign.
