House Democrats, with the help of a small group of Republicans, on Monday successfully blocked an effort led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., to impeach Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas in a straight up or down vote.
The final vote tally was 209-201, with eight Republicans joining all Democrats in support of the latter party's motion to stop that floor vote, and instead refer the impeachment resolution introduced by Greene to the House Homeland Security Committee. Twenty-four members — 12 Democrats and 12 Republicans — did not vote on the measure.

That's not 8 Republicans. That's 8 Democrats who checked off the wrong box on the party form.
And 12 more who are too cowardly to vote. It wouldn't have required any real courage to get rid of that horrible person who has made it abundantly clear his goal is to destroy our border and culture.

#7, they're listed in the article. Usual suspects.
The eight Republicans who joined Democrats included Reps. Ken Buck, R-Colo., Darrell Issa, R-Calif., Tom McClintock, R-Calif., Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., John Duarte, R-Calif., Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., Cliff Bentz, R-Ore., and Mike Turner, R-Ohio.

McHenry is my Congressman. What a fraudulent piece of garbage he has become. I’ve known him for 25 years. He has never had a job. The bow tie dwarf does NOT represent his conservative district. I hope and pray he will lose in the 2024 GOP primary. He is a joke.
As to Virginia Foxx. I have known her for 25 years also. Her vote can only be explained by dementia.

I may be wrong, but I believe these eight votes may have something to do with the traitorous eight’s dislike of MTG. Like Matt Gaetz, she takes no prisoners and they do not like that kind of in your face strategy. These fools don’t even realize that democrats count on them to get what they want and they never disappoint, do they? It’s like we are on the Titanic watching the inevitable happen.

I had hopes that the New Speaker of the House would drag those Folks into his office, like the Previous Speaker would have done, and let them know that IF they voted against this Bill HE would appropriate money to their next Election and they would be Gone! Time to play Hardball! There is NO good reason a Sane person would have voted against getting rid of the Person who was responsible, along with the Dem President, for bringing Millions of Illegals into our Country!

It really does not matter if Mayorkis is impeached of not, as the Democrat Senate will not remove him from office as long as Biden tells his old Senate buddy McConnell that he and the rest of the wimpy Republican RINOS should show ”bipartisanship” by voting with Democrat moves to keep Mayorkis in office. Beyond that if Mayorkis is impeached and removed from office, Biden and his crew will just appoint a new highly partisan Mayorkis type to replace the current Mayorkis.
In order to change and halt Biden’s “open borders” and phony asylum claims that are now up in the millions filed by so-called migrants or asylum seekers (illegal aliens) who came unlawfully into the USA for economic purposes (to take a U.S. job) and thus do not qualify for asylum under U.S. law, the wimpy Republicans are going to have to win the 2024 Presidential Election.
The highly politically partisan reason that Biden and the Democrats are allowing mass uncontrolled illegal immigration into the USA, is that while knowing that well over 90% of the incoming illegal aliens are not lawfully and legitimately eligible for asylum in the USA, so instead Biden and Democrats intend that Congress, the Democrats and RINOS there, grant amnesty to and place all illegal aliens on a “path to citizenship” legalization program that will be designed by the Democrats to transform as many of them as possible into future leftist and socialist Democrat supporters and voters in the years ahead.

You see, democrats don't even have to go to D.C., they all vote in lock step and click their heels to their leader. Their votes are automatic, they don't think, they are programmed. Now the eight repubs should be thrown out of office. Their vote was a vote to destroy the United States of America. These people like every democrat are pure scum, human trash. Got it.

A rope doesn't require a quorum, a sharp shooter, or bullets. I don't particularly want Mayorkas impeached, but there are less expensive options, with the same outcome.
