The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed new rules on Friday that would restrict the use of refrigerators, air conditioning equipment and heat pumps that utilize hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
The EPA’s proposed rule would crack down on the manufacturing and importing of goods containing HFCs, which would restrict the use of HFCs in refrigeration units, air conditioning systems and heat pump equipment starting in 2025, according to an agency press release. In accordance with the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, a global climate treaty that the Senate ratified in September, the agency intends to reduce the production and consumption of HFCs by 85% by 2036. “With this latest proposal

We havent heard a peep about the ozone layer scam since they outlawed all the refrigerants that actually work and are energy efficient. Now they are resurrecting this zombie. They sure want to bring our economy down.
Those so-called republicans better get cracking.

Water vapor is the most offensive green house gas - when will the EPA ban water?
The have already declared CO2 a pollutant so they can legally control it
The Dutch are banning Nitrogen - N is 80% of the atmosphere
The crazies have too much power and the reason is LAWYERS

Cui bono? This usually happens after a patent expires and some other holder of a newer patent benefits from a cleared playing field.

Our local historical society has a small spring-fed creek running in front of our building. So small that you can step across it. Once a year we have to clear the brush out of it. Every year we have to get a permit that allows us to do so. They have always given us the permit with no problem but just the fact that we have to get one at all gripes me. A small spring branch on private property and we have to get federal permission to keep it clean. Our federal government is obsessed with power and out of control.

First he wants our cars now he wants our refrigerators and air conditioners.
What will he want next? Our Christmas?

Well, I hope my brand new refrigerator holds out long enough for this garbage by the EPA to go away. Same with my room sized A/C units. They just cannot stand it when people are comfortable and happy, running their own lives to suit themselves can they.

When I was growing up our refrigerator had a compartment on top that housed a block of ice. A horse drawn wagon brought the ice every so often. Might be time to

#7, not to mention they have no constitutional authority to require that. None. But people just knuckle under, instead of stringing the bureaucrats up.

As Mickey says, one has to wonder how much longer people in this country will ignore or disregard the nonstop destructive foolishness we are being saddled with. Perhaps the educational system has already succeeded.

A slew of incidents where victims who've had enough meet the EPA enforcers at the door with loaded weapons ablaze might make the agency think twice about this kind of enforcement.

They won't be satisfied until NOTHING normal is legal to make any more.
No normal cars, no normal appliances, no normal heating, nothing normal or reliable will be permitted.

The wait time to get many new appliances is currently a few months. I'm sure this will make the wait even worse or, as usually happens with these new "green " regulations, make them impossible to get.

For God's sake, Biden and the rest of the idiots in his party need to get the hell out of our lives. They stay up nights trying to find ways to dictate to us and make the hardship on American people worse. Please Lord help us overcome and get rid of these anti-American fools who want to rule every facet of our lives.

If you liked the low-flow toilets that have to be flushed multiple times, you'll love the no-HFC refrigerators! And the prices will go up as the reliability goes down!

Those on the Left don't like our refrigeration and our air conditioning. They think we should do with less of it, pending the loss of all of it. Yeah, that's it! Live like the animals.
