“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Sarah Michelle Gellar has revealed that early in her career, she had it “ingrained” in her head that all sets were “extremely toxic.”
At the Wrap’s Power Women Summit on Wednesday, Gellar, 45, discussed the manipulative and misogynistic behavior prevalent in those workplaces.
“For so long, I was on a set that I think was known for being an extremely toxic male set,” she said. “And so that was ingrained in my head that that was what all sets were like, and that women were pitted against each other

And the people on those sets were all Liberal Democrats! What they say and do are two different things. You're better off having somebody who would open the door for you. I.E. a Conservative.

So we can conclude from her accusations that women are too dumb and compliant to avoid being manipulated?

Say what?! To think there is any degree of sexual exploitation in a business like entertainment and in a place like LA! Who could have possibly have guessed? Had Miss Gellar or her parents any clue about that she’d have spent her teenage years working at Walgreen’s. In someplace more innocent - like Las Vegas. (Of course that was sarcasm).

Well darling that's how the leftist dominated segments of our country roll. Come out and pay us a visit here in deplorable land you might be stunned to find gentlemen who treat young girls and grown women with respect and do not hesitate to put others in their place if they do not.

Even though his reputation preceded him, so many A-list stars kept working with Joss Whedon. So much integrity./s

Poor doe-eyed dunce. If her principles were the foundation of her choices, then she would have left. But money, popularity, and power are an aphrodisiac for the short-sighted.

It's the exact opposite now. Now every female is perfect, has no faults, and is viewed as some kind of hero for growing up in a society that more laws protecting females than any civilization in the history of humans. From cradle to grave, females are told they are special, and anyone who doesn't believe that BS is toxic.

What this empty headed dolt is really saying - Hey folks, I made millions of dollars repeating words someone else wrote while pretending to be somebody and got this easy work simply because I was born with good looks, and gosh darn it, I am a victim who was exploited by all these men while I was getting filthy rich. By the way I also live in a multimillion dollar mansion today and I have absolutely no common sense nor any kind of awareness regarding the struggles of my less fortunate fellow citizens, but hey I am a victim. Oh Boo Hoo my life is so bad.

Josh Weedon is a complete asshat by all accounts. Male action stars came forward to talk about how cruel he was to actresses.
Josh apparently had a domineering lesbian mother so he takes out his hatred on his mom on women who work for him.

And, in plain English, what the hell does "toxic male" even mean, you dim, nasty, obnoxious, pampered, overpaid, self-absorbed, ignorant little piece of trash? Does that mean that actual normal, straight men wore normal men's clothes and might have told an off color joke? Or maybe that they might have looked at you?
Is any non-homosexual a "toxic male" to your nasty little warped, self-important world view?
Please shut the heck up and sit down. Nobody actually cares what you think about anything.

Somebody, give Buffy a participation trophy.
Hate to break this to you, but most work-places are like this, and it has nothing to do with gender. Bosses want their workers in a 'competitive' environment. They think it makes them work harder. Of course, it makes for a toxic environment. It invites workers to stab one another in the back to get ahead. Be surprised how many people go that route. Many of them are women.

I'm not sure what Whedon did.
Was it that he told off color jokes on set?
Or he touched actors/actresses inappropriately?
Did he demand sex for casting?
Did he force himself on actors/actresses?

#22 Wikipedia does a pretty good job at explaining it. It wasn’t sexual so much as just enjoying being cruel and abusive to people.
Jason Mamoa, who is hardly a shrinking violet, backs it all up. Gal Gadot, who is an IDF vet, refused to work with him again, on the basis that she might need to kill him.

As a woman, I am so embarrassed by washed up older actresses who can't buy a major part anymore, so they cry about "sexism"!!!
You notice they never complain while they are today's "it girl" and are getting lots of parts and making lots of money -- based solely on being young, pretty, and desirable (and usually willing to show a lot of skin). It's only once they get older, while younger and prettier starlets take away their "it girl" status, that suddenly their mediocre acting skills just don't get them any parts anymore.
They loved "the game" while it worked for them. But once it works against them, it's all that evil sexism and other "isms" that are at fault!!!
