There is an endless list of factors students consider while choosing a college: size, cost, campus life, proximity to home. But since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June — removing nearly 50 years of federal protections for abortions and giving states the right to make the procedure illegal within their jurisdictions — abortion access has become an increasingly influential consideration in students’ college decisions. Of those planning to enroll in an undergraduate program sometime in the next 12 months, 39% said that the court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade will affect their decision to attend

Well, kiddies, you could always try Canada, Africa (great weather in Congo!), Europe, russia, chicomsville (China), North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Mexico, Iraq, Afghanistan, or even Ukraine. What's it going to be, kids? Regardless, you sound like you'd be happier someplace else. So leave, then.

Have at it. No college loans. Good indoctrination in what a great country they now live in. Nothing will make a person love America more than spending extended time abroad.

If the Gen Z people are socialist, communist minded, please move elsewhere. They will soon see the difference once they get to experience communism and socialism on other than a backpacking trip thru Europe.

Why don't these nitwits use birth control? It is effective, available and would seriously reduce occasions when abortion might be necessary. L

The more of this class of nutcase leftist fools who DO leave the country, the better off we will be.

Yes, I'm sure their every decision hangs on whether they can vacuum a baby out of their womb. What a bunch of loser reporters. The only place they get this crap is from the communist campus's of the American indoctrination centers known as universities.

This article made me sick. They need to realize an abortion is ending a life; one that they created. They are so worried about their life and college, and a good time, can't they grow up enough to be responsible?

So let them leave......majoring in nonsense like political science means the degree and its holder have no real value to this society. We should make sure that the trip is one way......we do not want them back

They don't have to leave the country. They can move to any state (there are plenty) that permit the procedure. This simply is attention getting.

"Growing up, Lexi McKee-Hemenway and her friends in Sturgis, South Dakota, traded horror stories about people in their neighborhood who wanted an abortion and couldn't get one."
"The 21-year-old"
.I'm calling BS on that entire story. She's a liar.
If she's 21 there's no one she knows or was in her town when she was growing up who didn't have access to an abortion.

It is very important to choose a school and region that will allow and help you to kill your child at will. And preferably pay for the service also. Secondarily, it has to be a progressive or “woke” teaching environment.

Oh please, these drama queens are attention seeking fools. Have they never heard of birth control or do they believe abortion is a reasonable method of ending unwanted pregnancies? They are ghouls who have embraced their right to abortion with the passion of a religious zealot. It is not only vile, it is unnecessary in this day and age. Just be responsible for your own body and what you do with it. That innocent baby deserves better.

Unknown to me my spouse had an abortion early in our marriage. It has since fallen apart (after 30yrs) and I have reconnected with an old friend. I now am the bonus dad to a wonderful young lady with challenges, and I cannot even begin to fathom how I was ever able to live without her. You ''didn't wanna be dad' really don't know what you are missing! I volunteered for this gig!

The young women claim that "this is a really scary time". What is so scary? You still have full control over your body. In 99.99% of the cases, you choose to take the actions which may result in your pregnancy. To plan you whole life around the possibility of maybe needing an abortion someday because of a possible unwanted pregnancy due to irresponsible actions (99.99% of the time). Don't want to get pregnant, take birth control and don't whore around. If you do get a little to passionate and something happens, there is always the Morning After Pill which is usually available free without a prescription at a pharmacy. Rape and incest fears? Pregnancy resulting from this is rare. Stop living your life in fear of something that is most likely not going to happen unless you allow it to.

I say we pitch in. Every time one of these mewling brains of mush says they want out, I am HAPPY to help them.
One way ticket.
To North Korea
Or Cuba.
Or Venezuela.
Revoke American citizenship. Put them on a Most Wanted List in case they try to get back into the country. You want out? YOURE OUT.
Unfortunately too many people become like "King" Charles III: limp-****ed and too easily influenced.

I am totally amazed at the shallowness of this crowd. Keep your knees together. Stop being a slut. Protect your future sanity from regret. And realize an abortion is murder and you are the murderer. And, finally try to understand any guy who wants in your pants simply wants in your pants and he will do or say anything that he thinks will get him there.
