'We're at our breaking point': Denver
'not able to sustain' arriving migrants
much longer, city officials say

DENVER – The City of Denver has spent more than $1.5 million on all aspects of sheltering arriving migrants since the first week of December and is on track to spend $3 million by the end of the month, according to city leaders. “This has been extremely taxing on city resources. We are not a border community. We don't have federal resources like border communities do. So, the help that we can provide in Denver is very limited. And we're at the point where we're not able to sustain much longer. We're at our breaking point,” said Mikayla Ortega, Denver

Comments:

A sanctuary city is crying for 'federal aid'. They suddenly realize that immigrants need food, clothing, housing, healthcare, transportation, etc... the needs are endless.

If you notice major Blue cities, ones that are "sanctuary cities" are all simultaneously claiming they don't have the money to pay for all their illegals'. The Biden administration is about to start bailing out Blue States and cities, they are just lying thieving pigs lining up at the trough.

Has Biden ever explained his immigration policies? Like how will they be supported - how much of their needs must we support, what will our country look like in 10 years, when will we have enough? How will ILLEGAL immigration affect Legal immigration? How do the welfare needs of millions of undereducated, unskilled workers affect the needs of Americans? What about the next calamities that affect the nation and how millions of uneducated, unskilled people will overrun our systems to deal with it. President Kamamalala doesn't seem to grasp the seriousness of the oncoming train wreaks Biden will have left her.

I moved to Colorado in 1994. It was a wonderful place and Denver was a safe city. I used to go downtown all the time - to the museums, various entertainments, for brunch, lunch and dinner. Slowly, then suddenly, it turned into a festering pustule - drugged-out beggars wandering around, camping out on the streets, violent psychos attacking people and so on. I quit going downtown several years ago. Even my friends who live down there prefer to come out to the suburbs when we meet for brunch or other activities. It all started with the legalization of dope. It brought in a pack of leftists who turned the state blue and it has been downhill ever since.

When Denver decided to classify itself as a so-called “sanctuary city” they in effect encouraged and invited untold numbers of illegal aliens to show up there and be taken care of by the citizens of Denver. By taking on that “responsibility” Denver also is now finding that they are also going to have pick up the financial tab involved. That is if the RINOS and wimpy establishment Republicans don’t cave and send those mostly all Democrat run cities a lot of federal money.

When the 2020 presidential campaign was lurching into gear three years ago, former Vice President Joe Biden had led in the polls for months. Still, everyone kind of assumed he was a placeholder, a former office-holder with high name recognition whose campaign would nevertheless go the way of his two previous presidential bids, meaning nowhere. He was dull as dishwater compared to many of the others vying for the nomination, and nobody had ever really considered him presidential timber. As the campaign took off, other candidates were winning in the early states even as Biden still led in national polls.

It’s gritty, it’s visually stunning, it’s fun, and most of all, it’s not woke. There aren’t any explicitly leftwing narratives being shoved down the audience’s throat when you watch “Yellowstone” or its equally well-done prequels, “1883” and “1923.” In fact, there’s a rather conservative bent at times throughout the franchise, though Sheridan is loathe to allow his work to be defined along political lines. An NYPD officer on his first day on the job was stabbed in the head with a machete by a 19-year-old who investigators believe may be an Islamic extremist during New Year's Eve celebrations near Times Square. The attack happened just after 10 p.m. about eight blocks from Times Square, just outside of the high-security zone where thousands of revelers were screened for weapons as they prepared to ring in 2023. Trevor Bickford, 19, of Wells, Maine, allegedly approached the officers on 8th Avenue between 51st and 52nd streets armed with a large knife that he used to slash two of them, Commissioner Keechant Sewell said at an overnight press conference.

A measles outbreak in central Ohio has infected at least 82 children, including 32 who have been hospitalized, according to Columbus Public Health (CPH). Health officials announced they started investigating the outbreak on November 9 after a child became infected at a childcare facility in Franklin County, where Columbus is located. Within the next few weeks, cases were reported at a mall, a church, and a Dollar Tree. There were only four reported measles cases at the time. Of those infected, 54 patients are between the ages of one and five, 23 are under one year old, and five are six years and older.
