One of Donald Trump's most loyal allies Steve Bannon shared his utter disbelief that the former president's 'major announcement' turned out to be a line of $99 digital trading cards - and has called for whoever came up with the idea to be fired.
The former White House Chief Strategist said Thursday: 'I can't do this anymore. He's one of the greatest presidents in history, but I gotta tell you: whoever – what business partner and anybody on the comms team and anybody at Mar-a-Lago – and I love the folks down there – but we're at war. They oughta be fired today.'

Said it before. The Democrats never have this problem. They nominate post turtles, and rally around them regardless. Never saw the democrats wringing their hands over Biden or Obama, and lamenting they can't win.

Poor Steve. He still thinks voters matter.
Only ballots matter now.

'MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!,' he said. 'My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here! These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting.'
You gotta be kidding.

I wish I had bought some of those cards. I wonder how Biden cards will do, or Hitlery cards, or 0bumma cards? Hey Nanzi, release some NFT cards! What about DeSantis?
The Trump ones are instantly classic.
What kind of deal does SB have that keeps the feds out of his sphincter? Still, he's pretty good at being an anti-Chris Wallace.

You only need two words to explain why Trump has jumped the shark and needs to retire … Trump Cards. Had DeSantis done this, the Trump faithful would be losing their minds and shredding the Governor non-stop (as would Trump). Own it, partisans.

Can't do this anymore? Do What anymore? Have they been covering for Donald Trump? Putting on a false front? Feigning support? Please tell us.
The trading cards initiative felt like a crass money scheme wrapped in a "big revelation" when the country's reeling from scandals that threaten it's existence. Tone deaf and cynical.
The three guys in the video seem embarrassed. Aaaaawe. So sad. I've been embarrassed by them a few times. Banon has far more serious baggage and Gorka's got a bit of a Fatuous Fop complex that makes him unlistenable. The pearl clutching doesn't help their cred.
Learn to compartmentalize, girls.

This was a stupid stunt. Why add fuel to the fire? Trump is a narcissist, yes a great President but this went to far. He has to be surrounded by idiots because a smart man wouldn’t have done this. Those who agree with this I have a question, What would you say if Obama did this? And before you kick me, I voted for him twice

Only when one has achieved the record of success held by Donald Trump has he earned the right to throw stones. Especially given that the current resident smelling up the White House is enjoying 100% failure.

I took this as a spoof on crypto money. "Give us some cash and you will have nothing to hold in your hand, but imaginary things in your electronic wallet."
Then came the real announcement about his defense of free speech later in the day.

I'm more upset that Trump still supports Rona and Kevin. Who cares about trading cards, except those who deal in them? Apparently, they sold out very quickly. Focus, people!

President Trump has a horrible record of choosing to work with people who will stab him in the back. Too many from his administration to list them all.

He raised over $4 million dollars with that so-called 'stunt' Mr. Bannon. Yet you are the only one who has his undies in a wad.

Steve Bannon is old school. He's worried that this makes Trump look non-serious and not presidential. I do think the presidency has a certain aura or should have, and it's not trading cards, but that's me. Today, who knows, with social media and dumbing down of the younger generation, i.e. Tik Tok, President Trump is appealing to them with these superhero NFT's.
I'm remembering Ronald Reagan wearing a coat and tie to the Oval Office every day to show his reverence for the decorum of the presidency. Sigh. How far this nation has come from those days. Have we forgotten our past? Have we forgotten our roots, our traditions, our beliefs, our faith in God? Our prayer is a return to God in whom we trust, not man!

There is a game being played here. Steve Bannon is way too close to President Trump to fall for this. Something is going on. Not sure what, but I am darned sure that it’s not what it looks like on the surface.
