Voters in key states who will likely decide the election trust former President Trump more than President Biden to handle threats to democracy, according to a survey released Wednesday.
The poll, conducted by The Washington Post/Schar School, surveyed voters across six swing states and identified a subgroup of respondents labeled as “deciders.” It found that 38 percent of “deciders” said Trump would do a better job of handling threats of democracy to the U.S., while 29 percent said Biden and 23 percent said neither.
Roughly 60 percent of the group also said they are not satisfied at all with how democracy is working in the U.S.

Naftali Bennett, the once and future Prime Minister of Israel, was the keynote speaker at American Experiment’s Annual Dinner earlier this month. I was privileged to spend some time with Bennett, and found him deeply impressive. I will be surprised if he is not Israel’s Prime Minister within the next two years.

Canadian Conservative candidate Don Stewart won a close election on Monday in Toronto-St.Paul’s, taking a seat that has been held by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal party for the past 30 years.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) introduced the No Tax Dollars for the Taliban Act last year. The bill is expected to pass today in the House.
The No Tax Dollars for the Taliban Act would force the State Department to report on which countries send aid to the Taliban that also get U.S. assistance.
Thanks to President Joe Biden's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban were ready to take over the country as soon as the last military plane left the Kabul airport. The Biden administration left a power vacuum in place and the Taliban filled that vacuum in 2021.
