There have been several cases of late where defendants are illegal aliens charged with serious felonies. Too many. The murder of Laken Riley sparked national outrage when we learned that the suspect was admitted into the country via Joe Biden's lax/nonexistent immigration policies. Laken Riley was murdered and the suspect, Jose Ibarra, was indicted. Becca Lower reported: The grand jury indicted Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuela national, who had entered the country illegally in September 2022 in El Paso, Texas. He faces charges of malice murder and felony murder in connection with Riley’s death. Riley was found deceased on Augusta University’s campus

I don't know if you're aware of this, Dear Reader, but there was a significant Supreme Court ruling last week, and former President Donald Trump's legal team is now citing it in his defense in several cases. The case? Trump v. United States.
Can you believe the nerve of these people? Citing a case involving their client, directly on point as to defenses he's raised in the cavalcade of politically motivated cases brought against him?!

The federal judge overseeing former President Trump’s classified documents case granted his request to delay a few deadlines further so prosecutors can evaluate the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling.
Trump’s lawyers on Friday asked Judge Aileen Cannon for permission to file more documents to argue that the former president should be immune from prosecution in the case.
In their motion this week, Trump’s team proposed a schedule that extends through early September, meaning a ruling wouldn’t come until at least the fall.
On Saturday, Cannon, a Trump appointee, said prosecutors and special counsel Jack Smith had until July 18

Some grocery stores in Alabama and Oklahoma now have American Rounds vending machines which allow customers to buy ammo for their guns while getting a cart full of groceries for their families.
Cleveland.com reported on the vending machines, noting they are currently in six locations and “[use] artificial intelligence technology to verify a buyer’s identification and age through card scanning and facial recognition software.”

Joe Biden’s team provided a list of questions to a radio host who interviewed the president this week in the aftermath of his debate performance, the host told CNN.
“The questions were sent to me for approval. I approved them,” Andrea Lawful-Sanders, host of “The Source” in Philadelphia, said during an interview Saturday with CNN’s Victor Blackwell on “First of All.”
Lawful-Sanders told Blackwell she personally selected questions from the campaign-provided list. “I got several questions, eight of them, and the four that were chosen were the ones that I approved,” she said.

White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor met Parkinson’s expert Dr. Kevin Cannard and two others at the White House in January, according to visitor logs first reported by the New York Post. On the surface, it is scandalous that Washington Democrats, and the Democratic press corps, knew for years that Joe Biden could barely function, and yet they covered up his condition until it exploded into public view in last week’s debate. The Democrats didn’t care about Biden’s dementia until public knowledge of it threatened his re-election.
Which raises the question: Don’t the Democrats think it is dangerous for the U.S. not to have a functioning president? Isn’t it unpatriotic to help to perpetuate in office a president long gone in dementia?
The Democrats don’t think so, because they believe it doesn’t really matter who is president, as long as he is a Democrat.

Good thing Anthony Fauci has never gotten it wrong or lied to us in the past, or else I would be skeptical about his diagnosis that President Biden is ready and raring to go to have a successful second term as president. When you think of President Joe Biden these days, who does he remind you of? You might invoke your impression of an elderly relative who is similarly struggling with cognitive issues. The less charitable among us might make a reference to Elmer Fudd or some other frequently befuddled character. But that's not the view that Democratic Congressman Don Beyer of Virginia holds. While introducing Biden at a fundraiser earlier this week, Beyer compared the President to none other than Jesus Christ. This was a case of setting the bar very high, to say the least. But what is it about Joe Biden that reminds Beyer of the Savior so much?
It's been a week since President Biden's disastrous debate performance, and his political fortunes only appear to be growing worse by the day. His poll numbers are dropping. Donald Trump is gloating. And Democrats are in a full-fledged panic about the future, some feeling deceived by the president's handlers and angry that his inner circle appears to be blaming everyone but themselves for last week's debacle.

This interview happened before the Stephanopoulos interview (which went terribly) and Sabato conceded that one good interview is not going to save Biden or his campaign.
The reason these comments should really disturb Democrats is because if there was any kind of silver lining to include here, any single ray of sunshine, Sabato would have pointed it out, but there is no good news for Democrats.

Everyone is so proud. So damn proud!
We just came through Pride Month. Pride parades, celebrations, commercials, and notices were ubiquitous, everywhere, like drag queens. And not just where you might expect them, either.
It seemed nary a crosswalk, sports team, business, or email was unadorned by some form of acknowledgement or touting of the LGBTQ community.
So proud! Couldn’t be any prouder of our gender (whatever it is today) or sexuality!
Because that is what matters, what is really at the very heart of who we are, right? And that’s why they want to make sure youngsters are involved, as well. The younger the better. The younger, the prouder!
