On the surface, it is scandalous that Washington Democrats, and the Democratic press corps, knew for years that Joe Biden could barely function, and yet they covered up his condition until it exploded into public view in last week’s debate. The Democrats didn’t care about Biden’s dementia until public knowledge of it threatened his re-election. Which raises the question: Don’t the Democrats think it is dangerous for the U.S. not to have a functioning president? Isn’t it unpatriotic to help to perpetuate in office a president long gone in dementia? The Democrats don’t think so, because they believe it doesn’t really matter who is president, as long as he is a Democrat.

Joe Biden’s team provided a list of questions to a radio host who interviewed the president this week in the aftermath of his debate performance, the host told CNN.
“The questions were sent to me for approval. I approved them,” Andrea Lawful-Sanders, host of “The Source” in Philadelphia, said during an interview Saturday with CNN’s Victor Blackwell on “First of All.”
Lawful-Sanders told Blackwell she personally selected questions from the campaign-provided list. “I got several questions, eight of them, and the four that were chosen were the ones that I approved,” she said.
President Joe Biden’s personal doctor met a Parkinson’s disease expert affiliated with the Walter Reed Medical Center earlier this year, White House visitor logs show.
White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor met Parkinson’s expert Dr. Kevin Cannard and two others at the White House in January, according to visitor logs first reported by the New York Post. Cannard is a longtime neurologist at Walter Reed and an expert in movement disorders. Walter Reed cardiologist Dr. John Atwood also attended the January meeting. It’s unclear who the fourth attendee was. Both doctors declined to comment to the Post.
During an interview with ABC News on Friday, President Joe Biden said that he realized he was doing poorly in last week’s presidential debate when he noticed that “even when I was answering a question, even though they turned his mic off,” his opponent, 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump, “was still shouting. And I let it distract me.” Biden elaborated that he isn’t blaming that for his performance, but that caused him to realize “that I just wasn’t in control.”

We got the first clue that something was very wrong when ABC News aired a clip of Joe Biden's interview with George Stephanopoulos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
The partisan Democrat interviewer asked Biden why his debate performance was so bad after six days of rest at Camp David. Biden threw out some prepared talking points: He'd been very sick. He was tested for COVID and "for infections." He clutched his heart when he said the last part. (None of this explained why a very sick Biden was sent to a diner after the debate to gladhand supporters.)

The Democrats don’t think so, because they believe it doesn’t really matter who is president, as long as he is a Democrat.

Say, didn't the New York Times focus most of its energy on explaining away Joe Biden's stumbles as "cheap fakes" ... until a week ago? As late as June 21, just six days before the presidential debate undeniably exposed Biden's cognitive decline, the Paper of Record told readers not to believe their own lyin' eyes when it came to Biden's stumbles. Those videos were "misleading ... edited or lacking context," the Gray Lady assured them:

Ever since the first presidential debate of 2024, the question in the minds of everyone who watches politics is "How much longer does Joe Biden have?" Legions are now calling for him to surrender his candidacy, if not to resign outright. With every passing day, he grows more befuddled. The tensions of supposedly being president - we are forced to wonder how much of the job he is actually doing - along with the campaign, in which he is playing an ineffective defense against the rising Tide of Trump, seems to be aggravating his mental decline.

Former President Trump sought to distance himself from the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 on Friday, saying he has “nothing to do” with the initiative and disagrees with some of its aspects.
Trump said in a post on Truth Social that he is not involved in the right-wing think tank’s proposal, which outlines various policies and initiatives that some conservatives hope a future Republican administration would administer.
“I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it,” he said. “I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal.

Good thing Anthony Fauci has never gotten it wrong or lied to us in the past, or else I would be skeptical about his diagnosis that President Biden is ready and raring to go to have a successful second term as president. (X) Aside from last Thursday's debate there is absolutely, positively zero credible evidence that Biden is anything other than perfectly fit and mentally capable to perform the job of being leader of the free world and in charge of thousands of nuclear weapons.

It’s as if the gods were listening to that shrewd political prognosticator Drew Barrymore, who back in the spring had Harris on her show. There, the actress-turned-host did her signature close-talking to the VP and said, “We need you to be ‘Momala’ of the country.”
Larry Sabato, the Trump-hating pollster who is known for his campaign ‘crystal ball,’ said on CNN earlier today that the race between Biden and Trump is no longer close and that the poll numbers he is seeing are ‘bad’ for Biden.
This interview happened before the Stephanopoulos interview (which went terribly) and Sabato conceded that one good interview is not going to save Biden or his campaign.
The reason these comments should really disturb Democrats is because if there was any kind of silver lining to include here, any single ray of sunshine, Sabato would have pointed it out, but there is no good news for Democrats.
