But is it a "beauty" contest or simply a charity where everybody gets a prize? Miss Milliken may be a loving, accomplished human being deserving of our kindness, but by no stretch of the imagination is "beauty" among her attributes.

Perhaps she has a beautiful soul which reminds me of a comment Woody Allen made - he once failed a test in his Metaphysics class because he was caught looking into the soul of the student next to him.

"by fostering natural beauty within...." that's the foundation of this "beauty pageant" Hey, she's like ULTRA fat, not one of those "plus size" chubby girls, this one's a porker. Sorry, not many people's idea of "beauty". She might be a wonderful person, maybe make a great mom. But NOT a "beauty".

No different from Moochie on the cover of Vogue. I'm reminded of that old show, Queen for a Day, where they pick some housewife who has the sh## iest life story and they let her wear a tiara and a fur robe and the send her pitiful butt back to reality with a new washing machine.

# 2 - have you seen some of the 'beauty pageant' winners lately? A guy even won one. Personally I think they are a thing of the past but this young lady had the guts to get out there. I'm sure no one thought she'd win, least of all her. She wouldn't have been my pick but she won and I'd be gracious to her.

Like every regulator grant of power to the administrative agencies of the executive branch, the agency has grabbed the power and expanded it beyond its original intent. Take the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards imposed by the Department of Transportation/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration — please. The origin of federal fuel economy standards dates to the oil embargo of 1973-1974 imposed by Arab members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and the subsequent tripling in the price of crude oil. Four Israelis held hostage by Hamas were freed in a daring raid in central Gaza on Saturday. Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andri Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, were all rescued, the Israel Defense Forces said after the mission, the BBC reported. The hostages were rescued during a “complex” operation at two locations in Nuseirat, central Gaza, the IDF said. They are the first rescued since two others were freed during a raid in February. Israel says that another 130 hostages remain in Gaza, though a high percentage of them could be dead as a result of deprivation from captivity. Democrats have already weaponized the justice system against conservatives and Donald Trump, and no a New York Democratic congressional candidate thinks that all MAGA supporters should be sent to a "re-education camp" following the 2024 election. Paula Collins, the Democrat challenging Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), publicly announced her idea during a public Zoom townhall this week. "Even if we were to have a resounding blue wave come through, as many of us would like, putting it all back together again after we’ve gone through this MAGA nightmare and re-educating basically, which, that sounds like a rather, a re-education camp. I don’t think we really want call it that," Collins said.

Biden put out the word to friend and foe alike that the United States had open borders. As he had vowed to do, President Biden opened the borders to illegal aliens on January 20, 2021. The Wall Street Journal published a lengthy and damning piece regarding President Joe Biden’s cognitive health, which did not please the White House. The article is fraught with quotes from Biden’s communications staff and those from Democratic Party congressional leadership who played the role of the good soldier, dispelling any qualms about the president’s mental health, which has become a top voter concern in 2024. From reportedly forgetting his own energy policy meeting with Speaker Mike Johnson to serial slip-ups, the piece doesn’t dispel anything we’ve seen from the president in public. In 2020, CBS News’ Lesley Stahl interviewed then-President Trump when the Hunter Biden laptop was revealed to the world. The device was filled with sexual debauchery, drug use, and the blueprint for the Biden family influence-peddling operation that was damning for the Democrats’ hopes of retaking the White House. The liberal media and Silicon Valley knew that too, which is why they buried the story and censored The New York Post, who first reported on the laptop, from posting on their social media accounts for days. In theory, there will be two presidential debates between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The first one is supposed to be on the 27th of this month and the second is scheduled for September 10. It takes a long time to replenish the presidential Adderall supply after a big appearance and Biden needs his nap time too. The consensus among my friends and colleagues is that neither debate will happen. Biden can't speak English when reading from a teleprompter, his handlers can't have high hopes for his extemporaneous oratorical skills these days. The Biden campaign showing up at the Trump trial last week, right before the case was handed off to the jury, raised an outcry about how they were now confirming the political nature of the trial. They took the norms, tossed them to the ground, and stomped all over them with their actions. And they might have interfered in Donald Trump's ability to get a fair trial in the process. Joe Biden has dealt another body blow to America's gas car manufacturers after his stuttering roll-out of EV charging points was slammed as 'pathetic'. The Transportation Department told automakers they have eight years to squeeze another 16 miles per gallon out of their cars if they want to stay in business - while the fuel efficiency of their trucks will have to double. Friday's edict came just weeks after the EPA slashed the limits on tailpipe emissions as part of the White House pledge to ensure that more than half of all new vehicles sold are electric by 2032.

NATO is mapping out “land corridors” to enable US troops and other allied forces to reach the front lines quicker in the event of a broader European ground war with Russia. The move follows warnings from NATO leaders earlier this year urging Western governments to prepare themselves for a full-blown war with Russia sometime in the next 20 years. The newly established troop expressways would see American soldiers landing at one of five designated ports. They would then be deployed along pre-established routes depending on how a potential attack by Moscow would play out, NATO officials told The Telegraph.
