Caitlin Clark notches historic performance,

It's been a rough go lately for Caitlin Clark, but perhaps Friday night is exactly what she needed. The rookie phenom tied her career-high of 30 points on Friday night and helped her Indiana Fever get an 85-83 win over the Washington Mystics. Clark tied a WNBA rookie record with seven three-pointers, joining Crystal Robinson as the only players to make that many shots from behind the arc in their first year in the league. Her seven 3s were also the most in a game in Fever history, breaking Tamika Catchings' record of six in 2002.

Sorry —- The Associated Press contributed to this report. Here is the last line of the article: The announced attendance was 20,233. I recall a quote from golfer Raymond Floyd, I paraphrase: “For every dollar I earn, I owe 25 cents of it to Arnold Palmer.” The point is that jealous WNBA goons better back off because Caitlin Clark’s prescience is going to line the pockets of players in her era.

Clark's turnovers would be a lot less if her teammates would catch a ball from her. Also her assists would double if they could made a simple layup, when they do catch a pass. It was just announced that Clark will not be on the 2024 Olympic team.

She's white and sexually normal. That's two strikes again her. But mainly it is the $ 20 million Nike deal. They are feeling uppity because of what they perceive as a major diss. The first thing they are taught in the hood is that a diss, no matter how small, allows you to be violent. The better she plays the more will pay to watch her and the other women. They are just p*ssed that they could not fill the stands. Personally you could not pay me to watch women play basketball. I also feel the same way about soccer no matter who is playing. But to each his own and there are plenty of people who enjoy these sports. The more these women act like thugs the more will walk away. If we want to watch abuse we can just go downtown and hang out at the bus station men's bathroom.

I don't care about the NBA. I have no clue what any team is doing and could care less about the playoffs. If the commercials advertising the NBA playoffs weren't on tv, I wouldn't even know the playoffs were taking place. I care even less about the WNBA.

Washington — The U.S. economy grew at a sluggish 1.3% annual pace from January through March, the weakest quarterly rate since the spring of 2022, the government said Thursday in a downgrade from its previous estimate. Consumer spending rose but at a slower pace than previously thought. The Commerce Department had previously estimated that the nation’s gross domestic product — the total output of goods and services — expanded at a 1.6% rate last quarter. The first quarter’s GDP growth marked a sharp slowdown from the vigorous 3.4% rate in the final three months of 2023.

Sherrod Brown, released a blistering ad on Wednesday hammering the longtime Democrat on his ties to President Biden's agenda and alleged weakness on immigration. "Biden's politics now are not much different than mine," a video of Brown from a 2021 interview, said in his own words at the start of the video, before claiming that "Sherrod Brown shares Biden's open border agenda." The ad goes on to say that Brown "refused to fund efforts to detain and deport criminal illegal immigrants convicted of a crime" citing a 2021 roll call vote on Senate Amendment 3742.

President Biden repeated a claim about turning down an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, where he purportedly wanted to play football, during his commencement address at West Point on Saturday. Biden told West Point graduates that Republican Sen. J. Caleb Boggs, whom he defeated to become a U.S. senator, had "appointed" him to the Naval Academy years before they ran against each other in 1972. The president recounted that before his interview, "I found out two days earlier they had a quarterback named Roger Staubach, and a halfback named Joe Bellino. And I said, I'm not going there. I went to Delaware. Not a joke."

Washington—A Senate border bill that was previously blocked by Republicans is seeing dwindling support among members of both parties ahead of another expected vote this week. During its last floor vote in February, the legislation failed to advance in a 49-50 vote due to opposition from both Democrats and Republicans. It would need 60 votes to overcome the filibuster threshold. As Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) forges ahead with another vote on the legislation planned for May 23, details about which amendments, if any, will be allowed remain unclear.

Richard Globensky, of Georgia, made his initial court appearance in federal court in Chicago, where he entered the plea. Federal prosecutors said the 39-year-old would take items from the warehouse and transport them to another party in Florida for sale online. The scheme went on for nearly a decade, and Globensky made roughly $5 million from the sales.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, signed by Biden in November 2021, allocated $7.5 billion for EV charging, the Washington Post writes. Of this amount, $5 billion went to states as "formula funding" for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program to establish a network of fast chargers along major highways.

Psaki made the comments during Sunday’s broadcast of her MSNBC show “Inside with Jen Psaki,” and she argued that President Joe Biden’s recent speech in Normandy, France — commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day — was proof that his values were more aligned with the American people’s values than Trump’s are.

The conventional wisdom concerning vice-presidential picks is that they don’t really matter because voters focus on the top of the ticket in presidential elections. This is ordinarily true, but 2024 is no ordinary election. This time the winner will be the oldest president ever inaugurated, so it’s eminently possible that his vice-president will be called on to finish his term. We know what that means if Biden wins, so Trump’s running mate will receive more than the usual amount of voter scrutiny. But woke is pitted against woke, as the ancient trees now face the chopping block as the crazed "green energy" crowd is poised to destroy the land and thousands of these ancestral growths:

There is already a pilot program in motion, called the 2024 Road Charge Collection Pilot, where car owners install a device into their vehicle that tracks their driving and tallies up a tax on them. The new way of collecting road taxes will reportedly replace the state’s exorbitant gas taxes. At 51 cents per gallon,

This conclusion contradicts claims by transgender activists, who insist the government should treat each person’s “gender” feelings as more important than the reality of biological sex. Pew finds that a growing number of voters say that gender is determined at birth and can’t be “chosen” at will. The poll released last week found that 65 percent
