Former President Donald Trump's indictment by a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia (In Midnight Presser, Fulton DA Fani Willis Calls Trump's Election Integrity Team a 'Criminal Enterprise') brings to 91 the number of criminal charges he faces in four separate jurisdictions. Even though the former president is arguably more popular than the current resident of the Oval Office, he's tied with Biden in general election polling, and he's the clear frontrunner for the Republican nomination; see NEW: Quinnipiac Poll Shows Trump Holding Massive Lead Ahead of the Pack—Including DeSantis.
I fully expect former president Trump to be convicted and go to prison

That headline, prima facie, should send chills down every American's spine! "Allowed" ?!

We are officially a 3rd world country. All this just to keep President Trump from running again and winning again. These creatures care more for their pockets than America. Disgusting. If President Trump has smart lawyers, they should just bring up all the presidents that have been done in the past. Especially the cackling Hilary.

If Trump is not on the ballot, there would be no election.

The Author should spend more time researching his subject before spewing his nonsense. It's already been opined by Alan Dershowitz that there would be very little Democrats could do in the courts that could "disqualify" Trump for running for President again. Read the Constitution of the United States, not the one that the Democrats keep writing at their summer camp.

The charges are imo bs, and have been made in order to herd people. Like the author. I do not want to be herded by donkeys. I liked Trump before and why should i attend to obvious atmospherics? These charges show us the way to dealing with a lot of other politicians who really are guilty. They open the door. Hm.

Allowed, by whom? A thoroughly illegitimate and lawless Biden administration or pathetic feckless Republicans who can’t be bothered to support their leading candidate for fear he will actually put America first and raze their little fiefdom of corruption and greed. Millions of Americans support President Trump and want him to run because we trust him unlike the lying corrupt political class that is close to destroying the country. What is happening with President Trump is a warning to us that they are not going to permit we the people to choose the President we want. They want to make it clear that we will accept the man of their choosing and be happy about it. When we the people chose Donald J. Trump as our leader, this cabal of Democrats and Republicans were incensed and determined right then, this would not stand. Today both parties trying to crush a rebellion of sorts that they cannot control.

Who cares if he is "allowed" by a sham illegal government. The American people will determine if he can run. As old John Paul Jones once said, "We have not yet begun to fight."

Eugene V. Debbs was the Communist Party candidate for President. The SCOTUS declared he was eligible to run for President even though he was already behind bars.

And the so-called conservatives who wrote that article are not. They are using an expansive, non-originalist interpretation of a provision in the Constitution intended to prevent former Confederates from running for office to deprive millions of citizens of their right to vote for the candidate of their choice. So much for "our democracy."

I don’t care where Trump is. As long as he is breathing, he has my vote. I’ll write it in if I have to. Does anyone here know what would happen legally if 100 million or so Americans wrote his name in?

NOBODY tells me who to vote for. This is supposed to be a free country and my vote COUNTS.
I will vote for Donald Trump NO MATTER WHAT.
I use my iPhone and take a picture of my ballot before putting it through the machine every time I vote -
as personal proof of the candidate(s) I vote for. I would encourage everyone do so as a personal hedge against "voting irregularities."
My county is reliably and strongly conservative (Thomas Massie is my Congressman) so I'm pretty confident there won't be any voting machine shenanigans - but you never know.
I don't care if it's against the law to photograph one's ballot. I do it for personal assurance - to know that IF voting irregularities surface - I can prove I voted for the right candidate.
And that candidate in 2024 is Donald Trump.
