Speaker Race Breakthrough: McCarthy PAC
Agrees with Conservatives on No Spending
in Safe Open-Seat Primaries

The conservative and influential Club for Growth announced it cut a deal with the super PAC affiliated with House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), signaling possible movement in the House speaker race after a stalemate had resulted in no speaker through six rounds of voting as of Wednesday afternoon. The deal with the McCarthy-affiliated super PAC, the Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF), involves CLF agreeing to stay out of open-seat Republican primaries in safely red districts, as well as CLF vowing not to enable other super PACs to do the same.

Comments:

Of course. How silly to expect there would be an actual leadership change. DC is a rotten hole of corruption and deceit. It seems very few are strong enough to withstand its influence. Here we go.... more of THE SAME!

The never ending political process of "SOS", Same Old Scat. This nation is finished. People, prepare, lock and load, and hunker down, because tomorrow will be the same as yesterday and the government represents itself, not us.

It's a start, but you have to hold them to it. They have basically blocked candidates that were not of the 'Party' as in uniparty. We would of had the house and senate of it were not of their meddling.

Good. The CLF is the same rino super PAC that Turtle is aligned with. Recall that Turtle had pulled badly needed campaign funding from several Trump-supported republican senate candidates just before the November mid-terms and pulling this CLF funding was a main reason why these candidates lost their races and why the dims kept control of the senate. In short, Reps. Boebert and Gaetz and the other 18 holdouts have sent Turtle and McCarthy a pretty strong message. Sounds like Mc and Mc might now be listening.

My choices for the new Speaker of the House are: 1. Our President Donald John Trump 2. Marjorie Taylor Greene 3. Newt 4. Jim Jordan It's not going to be any of them so I'll take what I can get. Kevin McCarthy has stated that his first act will be to defund Quid Pro Joe's additional 87,000 IRS agents. That's important to me. I don't want the IRS goons kicking my front door in at 3 am, holding me in my PJs at gunpoint, and shaking all my furniture to see if a quarter falls out. If I can't get radical change I'll take incremental.

These 20 dissenters have gone out on a limb to actually stand up for what they believe in and I respect that enormously. I also agree with them. They are getting shredded in the media, even Fox News, who are harrumphing about ‘precedence’, and going along to get along. It’s sickening. They should be talking about how utterly corrupt the government is, and if no one stands up to change it it never will.

Putting the process of spending money at the top of the list is a sure indication that this version of leadership will also fail. They have all lost their ability to fool the average voter into thinking that the government is smarter than anybody. We need to dismantle this system before it takes the country down.

Can't help but think this is all a show. They have nominated a virtual unknown which means the media and Congress can paint him anyway they want. We have seen this before. That person was elected President in 2008.

It has been a very instructive three days. It has been hard watching Ronny Jackson, Harriett Hageman, and Troy Nehls all firmly in Kevin’s camp. I am sure many sitting there today from Freedom Caucus disliked knowing so many conservative constituents were watching them. Watching Rep. Nehls on War Room was exciting today as he talked exactly like our Brave 20. Then, he revealed he is sticking with Kevin but did not even sound confident as to why.

Republican Kevin McCarthy has been elected as the new US Speaker after winning the 15th vote following chaotic scenes in Congress. Mr McCarthy's party had taken control of the House – the US lower chamber – following the midterm elections in the autumn, with a slim 222-212 majority. Usually, election of the Speaker follows seamlessly, as a formality, with the leader of the largest party a shoo-in for the job. However, recent splits in the Republican party meant that did not happen until the 15th round of voting. In the 14th ballot, Mr McCarthy received 216 votes - one shy of the number needed for a victory - as a small faction

(snip) America is the only nation where people politick to make its long-dead slave past the center of its history. As a historical matter, it makes little sense when compared to the slave sins of other nations. America received 3-5% of the slaves sold in the Atlantic trade. Over 90% were sold in the Caribbean and South America.
