The chief medical examiner for New York City reportedly determined the death of Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) executive Kendal Ascher was related to a cosmetic procedure.
His death was due to acute respiratory failure because of pulmonary embolism linked to foreign material following cosmetic filler injections, the New York Post reported, citing the city medical examiner’s statement Tuesday. Independent journalist Emily Miller interviewed the self-described “Team Algae” protesters who reportedly return every day to protest the Reflecting Pool's cleanup.
“We have reached peak circus here,” Miller said, as National Park Service crews removed the green algae using advanced nanobubble technology.
This video, posted on YouTube, recorded the pro-algae protesters. Miller reported on X that at least one male protester was arrested for jumping into the water and grabbing hoses from female Park Service workers who were clearing the algae.
