Renee Nicole Good’s wife was antagonizing ICE agents and even urged her to “drive baby, drive” just moments before the fatal shooting in Minneapolis, according to shocking new video taken on the agent’s own cell phone. The video — filmed by agent Jonathan Ross on Wednesday and obtained by Alpha News — shows the heated interaction between the Goods in the lead-up to the shooting. Renee can be seen behind the driver’s seat of the plum-colored Honda Pilot, while her wife, Rebecca, stands in the street next to the car. A dog is also sitting in the back seat, peering out an open window.

Yes, I'm back writing, and just in time for a bomb to go off in the middle of the controversy surrounding an ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis. New cellphone footage taken by the officer who fired the shots provides the best look yet at what happened, and it counters much of the narrative spreading in the mainstream press and on the broader left that this was an unjustified "murder." As RedState reported, a woman was shot and killed after she drove her SUV into the middle of the agents in an attempt to impede an immigration raid. After ignoring orders for three minutes, she was commanded to stop.

U.S. labor productivity accelerated sharply in the third quarter of 2025, rising at a 4.9 percent annual rate as workers contributed more output per hour worked, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday. The figure substantially exceeded economist expectations of 3.6 percent and marked the strongest quarterly gain in two years. Combined with an upwardly revised 4.1 percent increase in the second quarter, the back-to-back performance suggests American businesses are adapting to tighter labor markets by investing in efficiency rather than pursuing the low-cost labor strategies that dominated much of the past two decades.

President Donald Trump has outfoxed Senate Republican obstructionists yet again, blowing past Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID) for his refusal to schedule a confirmation hearing for his appointee for religious freedom ambassador by just appointing pastor and former North Carolina Rep. Mark Walker (R) to a similar position that does not need Senate confirmation. As Breitbart News reported in December, Risch refused to schedule a confirmation hearing for Walker—subsequent reporting from other outlets like NBC News confirmed that it was because of quiet opposition from other North Carolinians like Sens. Ted Budd (R-NC) and Thom Tillis (R-NC),

President Donald Trump said that having Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac purchase $200 billion in mortgage bonds would drive mortgage rates and monthly payments down as the administration works on affordability. The 47th president wrote that his decision during his first term in office not to sell the companies allowed them to amass $200 billion. He wrote, “Biden ignored the Housing Market, and instead was immersed with High Crime, Open Borders, runaway INFLATION, the Afghanistan Disaster, and a Military that he left in Chaos and Confusion. Everything was broken, but I, as President of the United States, have already fixed it!”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is a football fan — he played in college, supports the Miami Dolphins, and his son is a running back for the University of Florida Gators. Now, he is quarterbacking President Donald Trump’s foreign policy team as it navigates particularly turbulent times, notably in Venezuela and elsewhere in Latin America, longtime core interests of the child of Cuban immigrants and former Florida senator. As the Trump administration has alarmed much of the world with its stunning military operation that captured now-former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and its threats to potentially annex Greenland by force, Rubio has emerged as a voice of relative calm.

For years, California’s tech elite talked about leaving. Few actually did. That calculus appears to be changing — fast — as a proposed California ballot initiative targeting billionaires sends some of the world’s richest founders scrambling to establish new roots, with Miami emerging as their landing pad. Sources tell The Post tech founders from major companies like Netflix, WhatsApp and the payment system Stripe are among the latest looking to flee the Golden State for Florida in recent months. The measure, which voters will decide on in November, would impose a one-time 5% tax on fortunes exceeding $1 billion and would retroactively apply to anyone deemed a California resident.

Finally, the United States will follow through on its NATO commitments. That’d be the cheeky interpretation of President Donald Trump’s announcement, via Truth Social, that he wants a US defense budget of $1.5 trillion next year. This would represent a stunning 50% increase over the current budget, and put US spending right around 5% of GDP — the target level that NATO counties recently adopted at Trump’s insistence. The details and follow-through will matter, but on its own terms, the Trump declaration is of epic significance. Such a historic defense build-up would meet the moment — it’s never made sense for United States to enter a period of heightened risk —

Radical leftist groups, including one financed with $7.8 million from progressive billionaire George Soros, are behind the anti-ICE protests in Minnesota, The Post has learned. Indivisible Twin Cities, which describes itself as a grassroots group of volunteers, has led many of the protests against ICE raids in Minnesota, where Renee Nicole Good was shot dead Wednesday after allegedly trying to mow down an ICE agent with her vehicle. Indivisible is an offshoot of the Indivisible Project in Washington DC, which bills itself as a movement to defeat the “Trump agenda,” and received $7,850,000 from Soros’ Open Society Foundations between 2018 and 2023, according to public records.

The Left has coordinated its story on the death of Renee Good, the woman who was shot yesterday by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The party line is that the agent didn’t need to shoot Good, because she was turning her car and wouldn’t have hit him. Thus, the New York Times’s email carries this subject heading: “Videos contradict Trump administration account of ICE shooting in Minneapolis.” The Times says: An analysis of footage shows that the vehicle driven by a woman who was fatally shot by an ICE agent appeared to be turning away from the officer as he opened fire. The Washington Post says almost exactly the same thing.

Today I attended a lunch sponsored by the Economic Club of Minnesota, at which Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spoke. Bessent’s presentation was impressive, not because he is a spellbinder, but because he is a data guy, and the data are remarkably strong. GDP is up, the deficit is down. Inflation is under control. 2026 promises to be a terrific year, driven in part by tax refunds resulting from the Big Beautiful Bill: no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and so on. The “experts” have been proven wrong. And there was much more. This is from InstaPundit:

The polling was conducted on January 3 and 4, after the capture of Nicolás Maduro. This will probably come as no surprise to those of us in the U.S. who realize the good the president is doing for our entire world by taking down Maduro and his regime and restoring Venezuela to peace and sanity, but, as it turns out, the folks south of our border like what our president is doing too. On Wednesday, an anti-ICE protester thought it would be a good idea to attempt to run over ICE agents in Minneapolis. She learned the hard way that attacking a federal law enforcement officer is not a good idea, and officers wound up shooting and killing her. Ever since, the left has been gaslighting the public, claiming that the ICE agent shot her without provocation, that he wasn’t in front of the car when she hit the gas, that she was just turning her vehicle when she was shot, and that she wasn’t even involved in the anti-ICE protests.
