This afternoon, Tim Walz called a press conference in which he threatened civil war. It was one of the most extraordinary performances by an American political leader since the Confederates seceded in 1861 (snip)We have never seen anything like it, not just in Minnesota but anywhere in America, since the Civil War: a governor threatening to call out the National Guard to forcibly resist federal authority and prevent the enforcement of our national laws. George Wallace didn’t do that. Ross Barnett didn’t do that. Walz can’t seriously think that the Minnesota National Guard can militarily resist federal authority.

Better than even chance the Guard would ignore him.

If the Guard SHOULD ignore him, would he call in the 8 members of the Podunk PD to arrest the Guard?

I doubt the national guard would be interested in risking their lives to defend Somalian invaders and fraud operations. There may be a few that just want to kill, but most are regular guys who didnt sign up for this.

Wasn’t it the MN NG which Walz bugged out of right before their deployment to Iraq? Those guys would be more likely to take on Walz than to go after ICE or any other federal LEOs.

Walz is just one more example of how intellectually and morally bankrupt today's "Democratic" Party has become . . .

Walz better close his mouth and tread very carefully through these waters. What he’s suggesting is open insurrection and we have remedies for that. He’s already in enough trouble.

Our 'Civil War' is probably not a good analogy. At least the South seceded just to be left alone. The Colonies had seceded from England for the same reason, and it was within living memory of men who had fought in the American Revolution, they also wanted their independence. That's not to say that slavery wasn't a mortal crime, but it was also an opportunity for the North to invade the South, mainly for financial reasons. No income tax back then, and the US relied on tariffs to fund the country. Lincoln himself said, when told the South would secede, said 'But what will become of my tariffs'. 600,000 dead and a devastated South followed. I have ancestors that fought on both sides, including a Lt. Colonel from the 101st Pennsylvania who later moved South to Tennessee to be with his southern family.

Re #9 - ironic how in so many wars throughout history - money or the loss of it is always the underlying cause.

Waiting to hear what Senator Kelly and his band of congressional consorts has to say about the MN National Guard following illegal orders from Tim Walz, the guard member that abandoned them when ordered to Iraq.

If Walz told the national guard to block ICE that would be an illegal order that they could disobey per Mark Kelly. Hummm

The President would Federalize the MN Guard, his orders supersede the Governor.

Re #13, like Dwight Eisenhower did in 1957 when Governor Faubus called up the Arkansas National Guard and used them to prevent black students from entering Little Rock High School.

With this threat, we don't need to send any more money to Minnesota and let them stew. The dumb citizens that voted for him can deal with it.

Tampon Tim Walz is an idiot, as if he called up the Minnesota National Guard to oppose Federal Immigration law enforcement activities, there is no doubt that President Trump would immediately federalize those Minnesota National Guard units leaving Walz holding just a handful of used tampons!

Timpon has been to communist China thirty times, and is said to love the Chicom system. Kamala's running mate, an appalling affront to real Americans, should make a thirty-first trip to China, and not come back. But the Chicoms might not want to permanently take in a retard. They've sucked him dry anyway. He's a snakeskin without the snake.

An increasing part of me wishes Walz would do it. Let’s get this show on the road. Tired of these people and their non-stop quest to destroy our country.

Waiting for Sen. Mark Kelley and his minions to make a comment on disobeying illegal orders from Gov. Walz in Minnesota. Walz has put the Democrats in quite a spot with their "illegal order" comments. Lets wait for them to call out Walz and the Minnesota National Guard for stopping Federal Law enforcement from stopping their enforcement of federal immigration laws passed by the US Congress.
