As William Buckley used to say, herewith a few thoughts…mine on the death of Renee Nicole Good and related events. Minnesota’s state and local authorities — Governor Walz, Attorney General Ellison, and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, to take only the leading figures — have all but explictly called for resistance to federal law enforcement in Minnesota. Walz, for example, has referred to ICE as the Gestapo and called for “a firewall” against it in Minnesota. Walz and fellow Democrats support a form of what was called “massive resistance” when Senator Harry Byrd sought to block the integration of public schools in the era of Southern segregation. FTA: "The BCA [Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension] is under Walz’s jurisdiction. We know what Walz thinks. He should not be in a position of authority over the investigation, the evidence, or the outcome of the investigation. He should go to hell." That's the spirit! Walz and Frey, especially, have been behind the leftist insurrection with their unbelievably irresponsible words. Could an American governor and a mayor of a major city be arrested for insurrection, sedition? That might be necessary now. If they're not going to control their utterances, control them.

The propaganda movement is in high gear. Poor Ms. Good, so inappropriately named. Just a meek woman frightened by law enforcement, and trying to innocently flee. Her wife will mourn for the rest of her days.

sometimes i get annoyed at Trump and then I look at the Democrat Party and ugh. These people have no respect for the participation of others in self-government. The fact is that immigration law is the law your fellow citizens voted in. We need a better law but respect for it until that time is respect for other citizens' participation.

The Democrats, including Walz, Frey, and Ellison, have been "explicit" in calling for insurrection against ICE, for illegal immigration and open borders, defunding the police and ICE, and more government. They have been very clear on what they support.

Walz, Ellison, and Frey are chomping at the bit to turn this into another George Floyd moment. However, this is a federal agent, so he can't be railroaded into a murder conviction like they did to Derek Chauvin.

If the Left doesn't like existing immigration law, they are free to try and change it. But they haven't, because they don't have the votes. They are a minority opinion. So they ILLEGALLY break immigration laws when they can get away with it, like when dems are in power in Washington. Then, when Conservatives are in power they whine about the existing law being enforced, as it should have been all along. Then they rabble rouse their unstable followers to resist and act out. These followers are over-emotional idiots that think they can carry out illegal actions because they disagree with the law. That is insane. So when one of these dopes, egged on by the dems, acts out and turns their car into a lethal weapon, the inevitable happens; they get stopped. Once such enforcement actions start against a lethal assault against officers, the outcome can get really bad, really fast. This is why you don't assault officers, or for that matter, even give them a snotty attitude. It will not go well for you. Rational people KNOW this and act accordingly. Irrational dems FAFO and are always shocked at the outcome. Of course the Leftist ringleaders were hoping something like this would happen so they could use it for the publicity. Leftist foot soldiers can be sacrificed for the cause. I wonder if the women who died realized she was expendable?

FTA: "At best, she seems to have sought carelessly to exit the scene when the ICE agents approached her." No, the video shows when the ICE officer had his hand on her door handle, she BACKED UP, put the vehicle into DRIVE and then slammed her foot hard on the gas pedal trying to escape. This was not careless, it was purposeful and she lost her life when the ICE officer opened fire.

"If any of them had an ounce of decency..." that is the key phrase in this entire article. The entire decade long operation of bringing and settling illegals who in return for fraudulent tax payer money will provide political support is at risk. This is existential. These people are like cornered animals. Decency is the last thing on their minds.

I'd be interested to know how Ms. Good supported herself financially. Was she on someone's payroll as an anti-ICE agitator? Her profession is listed as a 'Poet' which has not paid enough to live on since the early 19th century.

UPDATE, 2 p.m. Eastern: The Department of Homeland Security has attested that the footage is real. Original story: The cellphone footage multiple outlets posted on X shows the near-deadly assault on a federal immigration officer that caused him to shoot his assailant in self-defense, with the video being from the officer’s point of view. Alpha News and Townhall published what is apparently cellphone footage showing up close and personal how Renee Nicole Good, a terroristic leftist activist radicalized by other rioters, deliberately rammed her car straight into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer standing in front of the vehicle as he told her to get out of the car. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said on Thursday that footage shows the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent appeared to be within his rights to open fire at a vehicle in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An ICE agent fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good inside her vehicle after she obstructed a federal immigration enforcement operation and began to drive away. Turley said on “Fox & Friends” that legal precedent likely justifies the shooting since the vehicle may be treated as a weapon. “The fact is that under the standard of Tennessee v. Garner, this does appear to be a justified shooting. It doesn’t mean that’s how it’s going to work out.

The Left has coordinated its story on the death of Renee Good, the woman who was shot yesterday by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The party line is that the agent didn’t need to shoot Good, because she was turning her car and wouldn’t have hit him. Thus, the New York Times’s email carries this subject heading: “Videos contradict Trump administration account of ICE shooting in Minneapolis.” The Times says: An analysis of footage shows that the vehicle driven by a woman who was fatally shot by an ICE agent appeared to be turning away from the officer as he opened fire. The Washington Post says almost exactly the same thing.

Let’s start our 2026 by imagining the worst-case scenario – that Donald Trump was somehow beaten by that drunken trollop in 2024. Where would we be right now? Well, we’d be in a very different country, and many of us might very well be in cells. You’ve got a lot of black-pilling from people on our side that not enough people have been arrested, or the administration is moving too slowly on their particular obsession, or that everything isn’t perfect, which means everything is wrong. There’s some truth to that, because we can always do better, but we cannot forget that divine Providence has smiled upon us.

Forget January 6. It turns out January 7 might go down as the date when insurrection really arrived in America — not from the MAGA right, but from the anti-Trump left. In the aftermath of the fatal shooting Wednesday in Minneapolis of a woman who appears to have tried to ram an ICE agent with her vehicle, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced at a press conference that he had issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard to mobilize to “protect Minnesotans” from “rogue ICE agents.” When asked if the National Guard would be deployed against federal agents, or if anything like that has ever happened before, Walz said,

Whenever Minnesota Governor Tim Walz leaves office, he will leave in disgrace — even puttting the world-beating frauds over which he has presided to one side. He has compiled the worst gubernatorial record in Minnesota history. In addition to the damage he has done to the state, he is dishonest, stupid, vain, petty, thin-skinned, and tyrannical. On the national stage in the 2024 presidential elelction, with his previously undisaplayed effeminate theatrics, we also observed that he is a phony. All in all, a thoroughly repulsive character. Driving down Snelling Avenue in St. Paul yesterday, I had a flashback from days gone by. Several protesters were flashing “No blood for oil” signs at Snelling and Grand. They took me back to 2003 and Bushitler — how quaint. Perhaps the signs were recycled. One of the protesters even sported a full face mask. I should have stopped to ask whether the mask was to scare off Covid or to conceal his or her identity, but I passed by. Today I read that an organization named The People’s Forum is spinning up protests against the extraction of Nicolás Maduro from Venezuela to face American justice.

Mayor Jacob Frey and police chief Brian O’Hara were already at odds enough with immigration agents coming in and arresting violent illegal immigrants dwelling in American communities. But more details have emerged on a scheme that could be costing the United States more money than anyone could ever realize.
