Nationwide protests have swept Iran for 12 days now and analysts agree that this movement is fundamentally different than previous cost-of-living or women’s rights-driven protests. According to the latest reporting, over 111 cities in Iran are rising up against the brutal Islamic regime of Ayatollah Khamenei after 47 years of oppression under the Islamic Republic and the regime has responded by declaring war on the people. According to multiple outlets and my own on-the-ground sources,

We've been at war with Iran or decades and that war will continue unless there is a regime change. I think the U.S. along with Israel should seize this opportunity to bring regime change.

Ditto to #2. They will work it out. There will be casualties, but that is the price paid for freedom. No US boots on ground.

"Boots on the ground" wouldn't necessarily be required. Airstrikes on Iranian internal security facilities facilities could be a next step.

The US government should intervene with the insurrectionist political party currently attempting to overthrow the US government for the second time.

A few strategically pinpoint bomb strikes in conjunction with the Israelis will neatly solve the problem.

Quietly provide small arms to the 'Persian' patriots who we know to be anti-muslim. I wouldn't go any further than that.

Hopefully, Musk's Star link system is now available to Iran and the citizens can do what they need to do. We need to stay out of it because we don't need any kore Muslims in our country. Mamdani and Omar are examples of why?

Freedom 'given' is not held nearly as dear as freedom earned. The sacrifice is the payment.

I'm thinking that they have been chanting "Death to America" for decades now, and providing weapons to terrorists to kill Americans for decades.
If a few planeloads of rifles and ammo somehow fell into the rebel hands.....I'd think this was about a 1% installment on what they are owed.

I know and love several Iranians here in the states. They often complain about how their money has lost so much value, and they always say they hate their government.
What is nagging at me is that they were not willing to fight due to the oppression and corruption, but they finally baulked at the financial hardship.
Americans would probably choose the opposite. We can always get more money, but freedom is essential.

No. We have seen how Muslims are simply not capable of democratic republics. It would be a waste of resources, money and man power. Let them figure it out.

Just keep the economic pressure on. True change has to come from the Iranians.
They got rid of the Shah, now they can get rid of the clerics.
Who will end up running the country is a mystery to me - certainly not Shah Jr.

The Iranian people seem to be in the process of sorting this out by themselves. They seem in favor of a monarchy lead by son of the former King. Any involvement of United States in this should be seen as supporting the Iranian people’s wishes. Let them build their nation. It will greatly increase the chances for success.

If they can't get it done we would be stuck in nation building mode for how long?
No no no.
