Remember the bratty but fabulously worshipped Greta Thunberg thundering “How dare you” in front of the United Nations, in a screeching speech in which she claimed “We are in the beginning of a mass extinction”? The adults swooned at her feet, not just at the U.N. but at every stop she has made on her never-ending, neurotic speaking tour. But did anyone fact-check her? They should have. She was wrong. Then 16, several years before she caught the next trend and became a Palestinian justice warrior, Thunberg told the General Assembly in 2019 that “People are suffering. People are dying.

Human activity is adding to the CO2 injected into the atmosphere. CO2 is plant food. When plants thrive everything that depends on them flourishes. There is plenty of historical, even geological evidence for this process. This is high school science. An intellectual level, brats like Thunberg have not reached.

For at least the last 50 years the Climate Change (AKA, global warming, global cooling) zealots have claimed that we face extension in 10 years all due to using fossil fuels. I the past 50 years we have developed more efficient and less polluting ways of using fossil fuels to power our economies, but the rate of consumption has steadily increased. Yet here we are still here. And, the legacy of forcing switching to renewable energy sources has been to do major damage to the economies of the countries that have gone down this road.

FACTS? We don't need no steenkin' Facts! The Totalitarian Left -in this instance a combination of the Leftist UN, the Leftist 'Rats, the Leftist Media, and Leftist Academia, saw a chance to use PURE EMOTION to generate social pressure to forward their 'Cause' of advancing government regulation and remove more freedom from the citizen's lives in America and Western Europe. When they all get together -as they often do- Facts are Irrelevant, and usually a Hindrance to be Ignored. Other recent examples: -Saint George Floyd -Orange Man Bad -Rodney King -ICE 'putting kids in cages' ... there are dozens of other examples that I cannot recall at the moment. After all, this is Standard Operating Procedure for the Totalitarian Left. It's what they DO.

"Eco-zealots, meanwhile, live in another world, where their narrow minds and their perpetual, feral anger ..." The problem is not only that these people are wrong, it is what they do about it. They attack with ferocity and blame us for extreme selfishness. They commit crimes to push their points. They claim moral high ground that simply do not exist and demonize those who don't agree with them. Then, when their premises and justification fall apart, they pivot away without accepting any responsibility for their extreme actions and glom onto the next big thing that allows them to build their own self image as crusaders for "good". Multiple failures don't deter them and can even make them more virulent. And worse, political groups are eager to use such fools as foot soldiers in political attacks. Media is eager to push their actions to support political attacks. Neither the political or media actors seem to suffer when their strategy falls apart. They never apologize for their gross mistakes and over the top actions. They just move on to the next faked up issue and renew their attacks. And an associated evil is that such "science", which we are supposed to "follow", corrupts scientific integrity. What science is good to follow? If any Yahoo can publish a paper and escape accountability for their stupidity, science as a whole loses value. If the people that are supposed to review these papers rubber stamp everything, who can separate the good from the bad?

We have been writing about the weaponization of government under the Obama and Biden regimes for many years, but even we were shocked by the two revelations of FBI corruption this week, neither of which has received the attention that both deserve. On Sunday, Just the News reported on evidence it had obtained of how the FBI actively thwarted an investigation into the Clinton Foundation in the run-up to the 2016 election. On Tuesday, it reported newly disclosed evidence that the FBI ignored concerns about not having probable cause to mount its unprecedented raid on Donald Trump’s home in August 2022.

At some point, there will be no news about the Ford Motor Company’s electric vehicle fiasco. But we’re not there yet, as the most recent reports show that the automaker is paying dearly for its commitment to a Potemkin market built by a government that promised favors to companies that would follow its agenda. Ford’s EV misfortunes have reached a nearly unimaginable low. The company announced Monday that it’s taking a $19.5 billion writedown while eliminating a number of its EV models. Reuters calls it “the most dramatic example yet of the auto industry’s retreat from battery-powered models,”

One of the unanswered questions raised by Minnesota’s massive welfare scandal is how it could have gone on so long, given its scale and the fact that alarm bells had been clanging for years. The New York Times provided the answer, if inadvertently, when it quoted a former fraud investigator in the state attorney general’s office, who said that “There is a perception that forcefully tackling this issue might cause political backlash among the Somali community, which is a core voting bloc” for Democrats. That is it in a nutshell when it comes to government waste, fraud, and abuse.

Americans mostly trust the nation’s highest court to do what’s best, presumably by scrupulously following the laws enshrined in the 238-year-old U.S. Constitution. But that trust could be tested in coming months, as the Supreme Court decides whether President Donald Trump’s tariffs pass constitutional muster, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. When U.S. Supreme Court Justices are sworn in to office, they vow to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” With this in mind, the I&I/TIPP Poll this month asked voters simply:

The Democrats have decided that “affordability” is the issue that will win the next election cycle. Are they daft? The most unaffordable states and cities in the country are Democrat strongholds. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the Democrat from New York, one of the least affordable states in the country, has told party leaders they need “to adopt a laser focus on the affordability crisis,” says Axios. Politico noted that the “Democrats are gearing up to hammer the GOP on the issue,” then quickly jumped in to help, declaring that the “Republicans have an affordability problem.” Will the Democrat strategy work? During oral arguments this week, liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor told Solicitor General D. John Sauer, “You’re asking us to destroy the structure of government.” To which anyone following this case should say “Amen!” The case involves Trump’s decision in March to fire Rebecca Kelly Slaughter, a member of the Federal Trade Commission whom Trump appointed to the FTC in his first term, but decided that letting her remain would be “inconsistent with the administration’s priorities.”

Microplastic accumulation in the human body could be a serious health hazard, according to some researchers, and might be linked to cancer, heart attacks and other threatening medical conditions. We’ll never eliminate all microplastic from the environment, but we could significantly reduce the volume if we’d just shut down plastic recycling. A Stanford Medicine article says scientists estimate that “adults ingest the equivalent of one credit card per week in microplastics,” which sounds frightening, even though only a “few studies have directly examined the impact of microplastics on human health, leaving us in the dark about how dangerous they

Let’s get right into it, shall we? Attorney Gregory Joseph has filed a Petition for Postconviction Relief seeking to vacate the 2021 second-degree murder conviction of former Minneapolis Department Officer Derek Chauvin related to the death of pseudo-saint George Floyd. (News of which you certainly missed because, despite its sensational assertions, it was largely swept under the rug by legacy media.) Why now? The global warming crisis blob is eager to bullhorn any scrap of “science” to scare the industrial West into surrendering to its agenda. But it turns out that when a much-touted report was slain by error, then the metaphorical crickets, not the ones the elites want us to eat to save the environment, are all that can be heard. A paper published in the science journal Nature in April 2024 was retracted this week by its authors because “the results were found to be sensitive to the removal of one country, Uzbekistan, where inaccuracies were noted in the underlying economic data for the period 1995–1999.”

President Donald Trump took another welcome step this week to free the auto industry from the grip of federal regulators who are largely to blame for the boring, homogenized fleet of cars that fill up the roads these days. On Wednesday, Trump released a plan to roll back federal corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standard to levels that won’t force Americans into electric cars. In what he’s calling a reset, the plan is to chuck the Biden administration’s fuel mandate – a mandate specifically designed to force car buyers into EVs. As the White House correctly put it,

Half of $18 billion in federal welfare funds, which supports 14 Minnesota-run programs since 2018, has been lost to fraud, Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson said during a press conference Thursday. People come from all over the world to steal millions from U.S. government Medicaid, housing, and other programs, he added. “Minnesota has become a magnet for fraud, so much so that we have developed a fraud tourism industry — people coming to our state purely to exploit and defraud its programs,” Thompson said. “This is a deeply unsettling reality that all Minnesotans should understand.”

Democrats are sinking like a stone, and the new Quinnipiac poll makes it official: their congressional approval rating has hit a historic low of just 18%, with a brutal 73% disapproving. That's the worst number Quinnipiac has recorded since they started asking the question back in 2009. Even CNN's chief data analyst, Harry Enten, couldn't hide his shock, declaring that "Democrats, in the minds of the American public, are lower than the Dead Sea." The real kicker? Democrats are turning on their own party. Only 42% of Democratic voters approve of how their representatives in Congress are performing, while 48% disapprove.

When I enter an establishment, the wait staff is at twenty percent, perhaps even a little more. The tip is built into my tipping psyche. At that point, it’s up to the wait staff to begin working their way down.

A Georgia State Election Board investigation substantiated that Fulton County violated election rules in 2020 by failing to have poll workers sign required tabulation tapes for early votes in 36 out of 37 advanced voting precincts, affecting approximately 315,000 ballots.
