Sean Casten, an Illinois Democrat, swore before hundreds of millions that the administration’s dropping of the Obama-era Environmental Protection Agency’s carbon dioxide endangerment finding is an act of mass murder. We’ve been told for decades that working for the government is a calling, a service to society not unlike being called into the ministry or feeling an obligation to teach the next generation of Americans. The national online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken by 1,362 voters from July 30-Aug. 1, show Trump holding steady, with 45% giving him a “favorable” rating, and an equal 45% giving him “unfavorable.” Another 6% answered “not familiar enough to say” while 4% were “not sure.” The poll’s margin of error of is +/-2.7 percentage points.

President Donald Trump has told Canada that if it recognizes Palestine as a state, it’s jeopardizing a trade pact with the U.S. The threat is more than leverage for talks. It’s a reminder that the West is giving up on civilization and needs to be rousted from its slumber.

Voters who responded to the online national poll of 1,421 adults, taken from June 25 to June 27, were asked the following question: “Do you think the Democratic Party has become too radical in its views and policies?”
A strong plurality of 45% of all poll respondents said yes, while 36% said no and another 18% said they weren’t sure. The poll’s margin of error is +/-2.7 percentage points.

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — Wednesday marked 80 years since the United States attacked Hiroshima, Japan with an atomic bomb. One group gathered in Oak Ridge at the main entrance of the Y-12 National Security Complex to remember the victims and destruction of that bombing.
The Oak Ridge Environmental Peace Alliance gathered before sunrise on Wednesday, in a similar manner that it has for the last 20 years, for a remembrance ceremony. The ceremony included a reading of the names of the victims killed in the bombing, bell ringing, and hanging paper cranes. An Australian state has asked citizens to surrender machetes at disposal bins ahead of a statewide ban on the weapons aimed at combating knife crime.
Australia’s state of Victoria on Thursday announced that more than 40 machete disposal bins will be available at police stations across the state to allow citizens to safely get rid of the weapons without a penalty before the Sept. 1 ban begins.
"Owning, carrying, using, buying, or selling a machete without a valid exemption or approval will be a criminal offense," the Victorian government said in a statement.

Paul Sperry of RealClearInvestigations reported Tuesday that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has lived in a memory-care facility “for the past few years.”
