Jeff Bezos said he was 'optimistic' about President-elect Donald Trump's second term on Wednesday and even plans to 'help him' achieve their shared goals. The Amazon founder was often seen as antagonistic toward Trump during his first go around in the White House. However, Bezos expressed some excitement about potential regulatory cutbacks in the coming years. The video player is currently playing an ad. 'I'm actually very optimistic this time around,' Bezos said on stage during a wide-ranging interview at a conference in New York. 'He seems to have a lot of energy around reducing regulation. If I can help do that, I´m going to help him.'

Of course, AWS has many government contracts so Bezos probably realizes he better curry favor now. What Trump needs to request from Bezos (WaPo) and Zuckerberg, are open and public apologies for their purposeful blocking, shadow banning (whatever you want to call it at this time) of Republicans, in particular, and Conservative voices. It's imperative the Trump administration clears the air on all of the schemes and plots over the past 8-10 years so the public realizes they had been lied to and gas lit. There are a few calendar dates that are burned into the American psyche. Some endure for good and happy reasons. Everybody knows why we celebrate July 4 and December 25. Both are part of our national identity as a free nation, the freest on Earth, founded in the Judeo-Christian tradition. Others endure for tragic reasons. November 22 saw the assassination of a president and, days later, his alleged killer, much of it brought directly into our living rooms as the first (and only) such event during the television age. September 11 was a horrifying example of murder brought about by men who hated America simply for being America.

Republican Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is raising concerns that certain establishment GOP lawmakers may quietly undermine President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda despite publicly claiming to support it. As Trump gears up for another four years in the White House, Roy fears some of his colleagues, particularly those with strong ties to the D.C. establishment, will work behind the scenes to thwart his policies or derail his efforts. The Texas representative’s warnings reflect a broader anxiety within the GOP about the deepening divide between the incoming Trump Administration and those deep inside the swamp. In addition to Roy, others also fear these Republicans may prioritize their political futures.

This relentless focus on his personal choices appears less about holding him accountable for any meaningful actions and more about attempting to discredit him through manufactured outrage to undermine Trump’s future cabinet.
