Senior White House officials are reportedly considering issuing retired Gen. Mark Milley a pre-emptive pardon over fears that President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration will go after the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The potential pardon for Milley, who was the nation’s highest-ranking military officer for part of Trump’s first term, was reported by the Washington Post Thursday.
Milley, 66, faced intense scrutiny on Capitol Hill during President Biden’s first year in office after journalist Bob Woodward revealed that the Pentagon official placed secret phone calls to a top Chinese official before the 2020 election and after the Jan. 6. 2021, riot at the US Capitol.

Pardon doesn't prevent court martial, dishonorable discharge after being stripped of rank and pension. Make an example. Biden will have already proven him guilty by pardoning him.

By these pre-emptive pardons, Biden is showcasing how many criminals and traitors he had in his mal-administration and family. Odd that the so-called media doesn't notice that.

It makes no sense. So there’s no accountability to authority. Constitutional, legal or military. A blank check for leaders who do not serve the ones who elected them.
Trump needs to take a chainsaw to the government. To get rid of all the dead wood of the federal bureaucracy, the useless federal agencies, the alphabet departments.
We have a strong leader in Trump. We need him to do the cutting. And quickly. January 20 can’t happen soon enough.

Call it treason or mutiny, but he should pay for it.
The least that should be done is being busted back to PFC.

A pardon like this shows just how the so called 'Democratic' party is nothing more that the Marxist dictatorship want to be of the US. Couple that with the things they've done since 2016 and you have proof positive.

A leopard can't change his spots, after all, and Joe's true colors are now shining forth since his need for votes is over.
We all know that Joe is a liar, thief, and traitor, and has been for his entire career, so crdp like this is his SOP.
What has caught me a little off guard is his increasing boldness in perpetrating his crimes.
Some creative lawyer needs to find a legal reason why he cannot pardon someone before they are tried and convicted.

Biden cannot pardon treason...and what milley did by calling our enemy..china...and telling them he would let them know what President Trump would do in advance...it's not simply illegal...like hunter and the biden family...it's treason against America...and milley needs a court martial...and sent away for a long time...perhaps Gitmo...in Cuba....then he can examine his whiteness with all the muslims locked up there for killing Americans on 9/11......

Okay. Then Congress needs to set up hearings with each of those pardoned. Since they have been pardoned, they have to answer truthfully questions concerning the actual or perceived actions which resulted in the pardon offered and accepted.
But the pardon does not cover crimes, such as perjury, AFTER the pardon is given.

Gen Milley was subject to the UCMJ, so I wonder if he is pardoned whether he can still be found guilty in a military court and punished. Maybe a special military tribunal that would not recognize the past pardon?

Milley should be prosecuted. The FBI should have picked that up as soon as Milley stated he did that. This is absolute treason. Austin should have taken that to the FBI are the Senate Justice Committee should have taken it to the FBI. Milley got away with it because he was a far left general.

The President of the United States may pardon anyone who commits a federal offense against the United States. They may also pardon anyone who commits a federal offense against the District of Columbia. The president cannot grant pardons for violations of state laws.

If he is innocent, then why does Milley need a pardon?
Then again, if he is guilty of something, then why doesn't protecting him make the POTUS an accessory to the crime?
Either way, someone should go to jail.

Those so-called Biden political allies only need pardons if they violated Federal law or multiple Federal laws. By accepting a pardon those so-called Biden political allies are essentially acknowledging that while in official Federal positions of trust that they violated Federal law for partisan political purposes.
Watching these final Biden pardons, if they are granted! Shows that Trump, a DC outsider at the time, was taken advantage of in his first term by wimpy Republican DC establishment insiders, both operatives and politicians, who recommended a lot of now said to actually be Biden or Democrat operatives or politicians for official positions in the first Trump Administration to sabotage Trump’s political agenda. Obviously Trump now knows that and that is why he is selecting mostly all DC outsiders to staff his upcoming second Administration.

"Getting a pre-emptive pardon is the same as hanging a large GUILTY sign on the slimeball."
How in the hell do you "preemptively" pardon someone who hasn't been accused of a crime, much less convicted of one? How is that even legal. Just remember, if you are pardoned of any and all crimes, your right against self-incrimination ceases to exist, as you cannot be further charged with a crime. Therefore, I see a lot of testimony against the Biden Crime Family by their now immune staffers.

How is it even legal. Pardon him for what. The man hasn't been charged with a crime so this pre-emptive pardon is just another demoratic move to undermine the law.

Adding to the above, especially after the Demonrats had obstructed the POTUS #45 for 3+ years pursuing a "Russia Collusion Hoax" of their own making. Treason BAD when it's alleged of a Republican, but Treason pardonable when it's done to protect the Deep State operatives.
