Sen. Joni Ernst has not made up her mind about Pete Hegseth’s nomination to be secretary of defense, but despite the suggestion of some of her colleagues, the Iowa Republican told RealClearPolitics during a Thursday interview that she is not pursuing that role for herself. “I am not seeking to be secretary of defense,” Ernst said after some on the left suggested she would make a better candidate than Hegseth and after critics on the right accused her of trying to sink his nomination for personal gain. A combat veteran herself, she explained that while “I absolutely have interest in the military…”

The veil has been lifted on joni. She’ll probably end up voting for Hegseth and will still be primaried. The sooner these losers realize there’s a new Sheriff in town, the better off we’ll all be. Hear me graham?

Rumors are Ernst wants the job herself and is working to tank Hegseth. I suspect this is why we heard the trial balloon of DeSantis for the job -- it was probably coordinated with Hegseth's knowledge in order to send a message to Ernst that she's not in line for the job should Hegseth be denied. However, I do hope that PDJT is sending her the message that she will received a well-financed primary challenger in her next election cycle if she doesn't cut the preening now.

We MAGA voters are wise to the games these ambitious worms on the Hill try to pull on us. We recognize DeSantis cheerleaders pushing his name behind the scenes too. (I love our best American Governor BTW.) These things don’t just happen. I fully believe Joni has designs on DOD herself. She has been a Collin’s-Murkowski trainee for decades now. She is just more subtle than those two women.

I had high hopes for Joni Ernst when she was first elected. Within a year she changed her hair color, divorced her husband, and caught a bad case of Potomac Fever from which she never recovered. I wouldn't trust Joni Ernst as far as I could throw her.

Did she ever make a mistake! She has been outed, where previously she had not much exposure. EVERYONE knows where she stands now. She will face enormous difficulty being re-elected ... no matter what she does on Hegseth. I would say most people have had enough of 'Lady bug Miss Lindsay, Murkowski, Thune, and McConnell. High alert! They can't be trusted and are most likely compromised one way or another!

Hey Iowans. Get on the phone and call your RINO senator Ernst to support Pete Hegseths nomination as Defense Secretary. If Ernst can vote to confirm Merrick Garland as AG, she can certainly vote to conform Mr. Hegseth! Kamala Harris hired Eric Holder to do the background vetting on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, prior to the announcement of Walz being her VP candidate. Keep in mind, Barack Obama and Eric Holder do not have any issues with Tim Walz as the VP candidate. Factually, Walz is a very unstable person, prone to an intemperate disposition, has no problem targeting children for his fetish ideology under the guise of gender reassignment (cutting off the genitals of children), and is a proud Marxist. Against the backdrop of ‘who he is’ the difference between ‘who he presents himself to be‘ is the real issue.

We are not going to play the insufferable game of pretending. The stakes are just too high. Today, the White House deployed a cover story for the assembly that accompanied Joe Biden to Austin, Texas. As the story is told, event was rescheduled from July 15th until today. However, the untold part is the major medical incident, the fall in Las Vegas, actually being the disruption covered by the COVID diagnosis. That said, and in the interests of our upcoming election the second part of the cover-story is even more pertinent.

I can tell you from firsthand recent experience, Russia has psychologically prepared the citizens of the country for war against the West, if that is what’s needed. The Russian people do not want war but trust me – they are a hardened nation filled with people who are used to hardship in comparative terms to Americans and Europeans. Their military bases are full of trainees, and the streets have as many young men in fatigues as they do business attire.

It’s odd how no one in the American media seems to ask how Obama and Biden went from a friendly “reset” with Russia in 2009 to full geopolitical antagonism in 2011. What exactly led to the complete reversal of intent? I digress…. However, having some deeper understanding of the current status of the conflict, I also find it curious how the New York Tims can just seemingly bury the lead in their story about how U.S-led military “mercenary” soldiers are on the ground fighting, while seemingly forgetting their prior outline about how the CIA was conducting all the military operations in the same area. Not funny, that.

There’s a lot of buzz online about potential “false flags” on the horizon. It’s not surprising, really, given that it’s an election year and the regime is probably eager to unleash every tactic under the sun to disrupt the 2024 election. Among the strategies likely in play, “false flags” are expected to justify the barrage of wild propaganda the regime and their media goons are throwing out there. What many don’t realize, however, is that the foundation of this false flag, or basically any anti-Trump strategy, is a little something known as stochastic terrorism.

Nebraska State Sen. Mike McDonnell (R-5) announced he is fleeing the Democrat party to become a Republican, giving the GOP what U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts (R-NE) calls a “filibuster-proof majority” in Nebraska’s unicameral legislature. McDonnell’s party change bears major implications for local and national politics as the state is on the verge of moving to a winner-take-all electoral vote allocation system for presidential elections. The state currently has a split electoral vote awarding system that gives “two electoral votes to the state popular vote winner, and then one electoral vote to the popular vote winner in each congressional district,” as Newsweek’s Natalie Venegas pointed out.

Barack Obama is a practiced expert at this, and he gave a master class in it on Thursday at his Obama Foundation’s Orwellian-named Democracy Forum. With some notable and revealing difficulty in getting the words out, Obama accused the Republicans of doing everything that the Democrats have been doing for the past few years: rigging elections, weaponizing the justice system, and trying to ensure that they would remain in power on an indefinite basis. It is abundantly clear today we have not lived up to that idea, but we have not fully walked away from it either,” Biden said.
