How Democrats’ chaos upend Trump’s
veepstakes: Put Glenn Youngkin in the
mix — and drop J.D. Vance

Donald Trump’s choice for veep is reportedly down to Gov. Doug Burgum and Sen. J.D. Vance, with Burgum having a slight edge.
But the race is changing fast, and the former prez certainly isn’t afraid to shift course to up his odds in response: The larger his landslide, the stronger his mandate and the longer his coattails.
So, while North Dakota’s Burgum would be fine (while Vance looks risky in any circumstances), it’s not too late to consider someone like Virginia’s Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who could clinch the case for Trump in a state that’s newly in-play — not to mention among swing voters across the nation.

If it can't be Sarah Palin (I know) I do like Kari Lake and Dr. Ben Carson. We'll find out soon.

I'm afraid Vance shot himself in the foot by supporting the abortion pill. Youngkin would be a good choice. I don't get what Burgum brings to the ticket. Bad name, ND is already a lock, another white guy. At least Youngkin might deliver VA.

If you want someone with experience, Burgum and Youngkin both have it.

I hope that President Trump does NOT choose Douglas Burgum as his running mate. With that all-too-groovy hairstyle of his, the 67-year-old Mr. Burgum looks like one of those smarmy games show hosts (think Chuck Woolery, Alex Trebek and Bob Eubanks) who are featured on old repeats on the BUZZR channel.

I live in Virginia - since 1996. Youngkin was not my first choice but he got lucky in his debate with McAuliffe when McAwful said the students are our (I paraphrase) and off ran Youngkin with his parental rights initiative. But ask the man about transgenderism - is it simply a matter of parental rights, i.e., if the parents agree with their child to change to the other sex than that's okay or what? Does he support transgenderism or not? I don't know. He is the nicest version of the corporate businessman wearing his red vest - sorry but Trump can do better. And as for his Lt Governor, Winsome Sears, she dropped Trump back in 2022 - does she now support Trump? And Youngkin's Attorney General, Jason Miyares, not exactly buring up the courts with briefs in support of other AGs taking on the Biden Administration.

Opinions are like dandelions, just when you think your lawn looks great, they start popping up everywhere. Trump has many good choices, the democrats, unfortunately have none. I would like to Sarah Palin get the nod, just to watch the democrats and TDS sufferers start passing out all over the place.

I think Younkin would be a fine VP. I've said it before and will say it again, we need someone who can go on and win in 2028. I don't like the idea of picking a Black man, or woman, or someone who is just popular. They have to be able to win so that Trump's turnaround of the country can continue on and on. It won't happen in just One Term and then we lose to the Democrats again! I think Younkin could win in 2028, especially if he brings his current VP with him.

There are a lot of tactical choices - with pluses and minuses.. Difficult to say which one will be better than others. Only one strategic choice (if you can pull it off - Ron DeSantis.

Lots of opinions, lots of advice, lots of people claiming to have knowledge. I guess it’s fun to speculate but this decision is Trump’s to make and I doubt that he’s consulting the NY Post editorial board.

Do I want the globalist private equity DC creature Carlyl Group CEO as VP? Am I getting Kraus Schwab’s son in as VP? Carlyl was probably bidding against Romneys firm for takeovers and Crony deals w G7 governments…

IMHO, the following people would be great in the administration but bring nothing of great value to the ticket: Burgum, Vance, Youngkin, or Scott. I'm not sure who it will be but I think someone like Marco Rubio who is young and Hispanic would be appealing and a Kari Lake type woman who is dynamic, articulate and unafraid (though I don't think it should be her, she needs to win the AZ Senate seat). And, yes, someone like Winsome Sears. And, of course, I'm a YUUUUGE, Vivek fan. Whatever he does, he doesn't need a bland, backstabbing RINO like Mike Pence...no more Mr. Nice Guy crap.

America needs someone like Mike Flynn to be in a position to take the helm when Trump’s term is finished. The evidence is what the Globalists did to get rid of him.
Regardless, we need someone of strength, integrity, courage, conviction, unwavering loyalty to our Founding Principles, and the wisdom to know how to fight to restore & preserve them. They have been successful at removing any such threat to their plans for years before their plans

Sorry, accidentally hit submit on #23
…before their plans were exposed. Although, we had become aware that they were saying & doing what they needed to in order to win, then not following through once they had the power. They were fully exposed by President Trump & the people they got rid of, who truly stood/stand for the things American patriots have stood & died for since our Founding.

Sorry, none of these appeal to me. How likely will they be owned or bought by the powers that control Washington? We need an outsider that has the moral courage to resist them and has the brains to fight them and will be available in 2028 and 32. Btw, I don't know who that would be.

NO on Youngkin with Cargyle Deep State.
Yes only on Lt Gen Michael Flynn,
For Such a Time as This.
America needs an honest, well-trained military expert VP to keep us safe and balance DJT’s business acumen, cancel ALL China’s land purchases in America, secure BOTH Northern and Southern borders, rebuild our military and space exploration teams, and send all traitors to Guantanamo.

Sorry, but Tim Scott is a conservative DEI hire. I'm glad he is no longer in the mix. There are many more intelligent, eloquent black men & women to choose from than TS. His selection would be simple pandering to the black vote. Inspiring history but no gravitas.

we want a weapons-grade vp. we like dr carson and gen flynn.
they will have the president's back--and check for daggers.
both are strong silent types experienced in navigating the dc swamp. but they can carry the big stick.
both are schooled in govt double speak and other nefarious orwellian goings-on.

Chaos? What does that have to do with Donald Trump? I steadfastly refuse to believe that anything the hateful Democrats could do would in any way derail anything Trump could possibly think of. This is just New York Post editors having night sweats. Go take a cold shower and for goodness sake, soak your head!
