Duke Medical School claims it is “white supremacy culture” to expect people of color to be on time in a strategic plan for creating an “anti-racist workforce.”
The medical school said its goal is to “catalyze anti-racist practice through education” in a 2021 plan titled “Dismantling Racism and Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the School of Medicine.” The guide — praised by the school’s dean — called out what it deemed “white supremacy culture,” with its purported nitpicking about being on time, dress code, speech and work style. It also contains a series of negative terminology vis-à-vis white culture.

Back before everything offended everyone. This phenomenon of ALWAYS being late was known as a certain kind of time. Yes it starts with 'N'.

Civilization is a "white supremacist" plot according to the lazy, incompetent, uneducated, stupid AND ignorant.
But, in reality, civilization is important. And if you cannot or will not learn to be civil, perhaps you need to be at least unemployed, or if the uncivility is too much, in prison or in another country?

In the future, base your medical care on two things:
1. Don't treat with a doctor under 40.
2. Don't treat with a black doctor.

Let me deduce from recent history what democrats feel about blacks...
1. They are too stupid to know how to get a free state issued ID
2. They are too criminal to be expected to reveal their actual identity in order to vote
3. They are too lazy to be expected to be on time
As a conservative, I believe that blacks are SMART enough to get an ID, NOT criminals who are afraid of revealing their identity and fully capable of telling the time.

This is the breakdown of civil society. There are certain norms that society relies upon to function properly. If you can't show up for the job, you don't belong in the job. It is not racist, it is how civil societies work.

How is the current disdain for anything White people do to be successful or socially cohesive considered 'racist'? Maybe something less successful people should emulate instead of denigrating. We're successful because of hard choices lazy people don't want to do. It's not a White thing.

Sooo..as doctors, clinics, and an entire medical system, will Duke stop charging "All Clients" for late and missed appointments?
Just Black ones?
What about Doctors being late?
What about students being late/missing classes, tests, labs, clinics?
While in Nursing school I was "Failed" in an STNA Class, even though I had ...by FAR...the highest grades of the entire class, a 99.7 average, 100% on all tests, clinicals and the final, because I was 12 minutes late for a final revue session( a final I didn't even NEED to take because the rest of my scores guaranteed a Pass), because there was an Ice Storm the prior night and I had to clear trees, with a chainsaw/tow cable from my house all of the way to the campus.( I was the only male left in the class of 35 by that point, and when I went to the dept Chairman to ask for review was informed that that particular instructor had NEVER in 6 years had a male student pass her class, but she had tenure, and the next available seat for that REQUIRED class credit with a different instructor wouldn't be until the following year. His recommendation was to take the equivalent class at a different college and transfer the credit, just eat the ding on my overall GPA(3.9) by accepting the "F".

If enough peeps do similarly, then those who graduated from Didn't Earn It (DEI) med schools will find suitable clients who share their treatment criteria as per CRT/wokism/DEI.

Since racism is such a hopeless white problem, why don't we just split the country and give each race their piece. Blacks can start out with half our money (that will be a bargain in the long run) and they can set up their own civilization, business, schools, hospitals, everything. I will give them fifty years before they all die out and that's being generous. Then we won't have to listen to this continuous damned whining.

I'm an NJROTC instructor in a very diverse inner-city school in the Midwest. Skin color has absolutely nothing to do with success or failure, and just an oh-by-the-way: I'm white with a black wife. Culture, culture, culture is everything. Unfortunately, far too many native blacks grow up in a thug culture. Seventy five percent or so of them were illegitimate births. Thank LBJ's Great Society for destroying the black family. Some of my smartest black cadets are Africans and they come from terrible places (e.g., Sudan), but at least their cultures value the family and education. So, anyway, avoid any recent graduate of Duke medical school of any skin tone. Their student culture is defective.

“Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.” That’s what I hear on basically every phone message or text doctor’s appointment reminder I get. It annoys me, because I know why they say it (and it doesn’t apply to me, and so no, I won’t arrive 15 minutes early). I got a reminder last week from a practice I really like and they said, “Please arrive on time for your appointment.” Yippee! I was practically doing cartwheels. You respect me, I’ll respect you.

One thoughtless person being late can sometimes create a snowball effect, in everything from assembly line work to the doctor's office to golf course tee times. People arrive at the country club and expect to be able to jump in front of the next party just because they had a tee time reserved and it backs everybody up. This trend may help to explain why there have been no professional black golfers in decades since Tiger, who relied on his Chinese half to achieve success.

The rules of professionalism do not have a skin color attached to them. Do Blacks understand how insulting it is to be thought incapable of being on time or having some special privilege of their own to be rude to others? The whole premise behind DEI is that if merit matters people of color won’t qualify. Nothing could be more racist.

And you expect them to become competent doctors capable of serving the general public? I guess I'll have to make a note to avoid healthcare givers who come by way of Duke. Thanks for the warning.

Years ago, my mother, who was a public school teacher, attended a speech given by the late Patterson, NJ principal Joe Clark. Mr. Clark was known for the strict policies he implemented to improve student academic performance and attendance.
In commenting on the tendency of some students and even some school employees to be consistently late for the start of school in the morning, Mr. Clark quipped that “many people are on ‘c.p ’ time or ‘colored people’s time.’”
