Expecting people to be on time is part
of ‘white supremacy culture,’ Duke
Medical School claims

Duke Medical School claims it is “white supremacy culture” to expect people of color to be on time in a strategic plan for creating an “anti-racist workforce.” The medical school said its goal is to “catalyze anti-racist practice through education” in a 2021 plan titled “Dismantling Racism and Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the School of Medicine.” The guide — praised by the school’s dean — called out what it deemed “white supremacy culture,” with its purported nitpicking about being on time, dress code, speech and work style. It also contains a series of negative terminology vis-à-vis white culture.

Comments:

Unwittingly giving ammo to businesses and professions that are reluctant to hire blacks.
Is there ANYTHING that isn't racist?

Back before everything offended everyone. This phenomenon of ALWAYS being late was known as a certain kind of time. Yes it starts with 'N'.

Civilization is a "white supremacist" plot according to the lazy, incompetent, uneducated, stupid AND ignorant. But, in reality, civilization is important. And if you cannot or will not learn to be civil, perhaps you need to be at least unemployed, or if the uncivility is too much, in prison or in another country?

Let me deduce from recent history what democrats feel about blacks... 1. They are too stupid to know how to get a free state issued ID 2. They are too criminal to be expected to reveal their actual identity in order to vote 3. They are too lazy to be expected to be on time As a conservative, I believe that blacks are SMART enough to get an ID, NOT criminals who are afraid of revealing their identity and fully capable of telling the time.

This is the breakdown of civil society. There are certain norms that society relies upon to function properly. If you can't show up for the job, you don't belong in the job. It is not racist, it is how civil societies work.

Sooo..as doctors, clinics, and an entire medical system, will Duke stop charging "All Clients" for late and missed appointments? Just Black ones? What about Doctors being late? What about students being late/missing classes, tests, labs, clinics? While in Nursing school I was "Failed" in an STNA Class, even though I had ...by FAR...the highest grades of the entire class, a 99.7 average, 100% on all tests, clinicals and the final, because I was 12 minutes late for a final revue session( a final I didn't even NEED to take because the rest of my scores guaranteed a Pass), because there was an Ice Storm the prior night and I had to clear trees, with a chainsaw/tow cable from my house all of the way to the campus.( I was the only male left in the class of 35 by that point, and when I went to the dept Chairman to ask for review was informed that that particular instructor had NEVER in 6 years had a male student pass her class, but she had tenure, and the next available seat for that REQUIRED class credit with a different instructor wouldn't be until the following year. His recommendation was to take the equivalent class at a different college and transfer the credit, just eat the ding on my overall GPA(3.9) by accepting the "F".

Since racism is such a hopeless white problem, why don't we just split the country and give each race their piece. Blacks can start out with half our money (that will be a bargain in the long run) and they can set up their own civilization, business, schools, hospitals, everything. I will give them fifty years before they all die out and that's being generous. Then we won't have to listen to this continuous damned whining.

I'm an NJROTC instructor in a very diverse inner-city school in the Midwest. Skin color has absolutely nothing to do with success or failure, and just an oh-by-the-way: I'm white with a black wife. Culture, culture, culture is everything. Unfortunately, far too many native blacks grow up in a thug culture. Seventy five percent or so of them were illegitimate births. Thank LBJ's Great Society for destroying the black family. Some of my smartest black cadets are Africans and they come from terrible places (e.g., Sudan), but at least their cultures value the family and education. So, anyway, avoid any recent graduate of Duke medical school of any skin tone. Their student culture is defective.

It annoys me, because I know why they say it (and it doesn’t apply to me, and so no, I won’t arrive 15 minutes early). I got a reminder last week from a practice I really like and they said, “Please arrive on time for your appointment.” Yippee! I was practically doing cartwheels. You respect me, I’ll respect you.

One thoughtless person being late can sometimes create a snowball effect, in everything from assembly line work to the doctor's office to golf course tee times. People arrive at the country club and expect to be able to jump in front of the next party just because they had a tee time reserved and it backs everybody up. This trend may help to explain why there have been no professional black golfers in decades since Tiger, who relied on his Chinese half to achieve success.

On Saturday evening, shortly after Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, attempted to assassinate the former president during a rally in Pennsylvania, Jacqueline Marsaw, the field director for Mississippi Congressman Bennie G. Thompson shared a vile post on Facebook about the attack. Trump was left bloodied and hurt during the assassination attempt as he was seen suddenly grabbing hold of his ear as loud bangs rang out and whizzed by before he ducked to the floor.

On Saturday afternoon on a sunny day in Pennsylvania, the unthinkable happened. Minutes after Donald Trump took the stage for a political rally, shots rang out, and the former president dropped to the ground. Live footage showed blood pouring from his ear as he was escorted off by Secret Service, pumping his fist in the air to let the crowd, and the world know that he had survived. Trump could be seen mouthing the word "fight" in defiance of the attempt on his life.

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus are throwing their support behind President Biden as a growing number of Democrats call for him to suspend his 2024 campaign. On Sunday, Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.) issued a sharp rebuttal of those calling for Biden to step aside. “Any ‘leader’ calling for President Biden to drop out needs to get their priorities straight and stop undermining this incredible actual leader who has delivered real results for our country,” Wilson said in a statement. “And when you contrast that with a dangerous figure like Donald Trump pushing a radical agenda to be dictator on day one and destroy our democracy,

President Biden refused to take a cognitive test. Do you think he should take a cognitive test?” Schiff said, “I would be happy if both the president and Donald Trump took cognitive.” Welker said, “So that’s a yes?” Schiff said, “I think they both should be willing to take a test.

Law enforcement officials admitted it was “surprising” how the gunman was able to get so many shots off in the attempted assassination on former President Donald Trump before he was taken out by Secret Service snipers. During a press conference early Sunday, officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police deferred several questions about security to the Secret Service — who were notably absent. When asked if he was surprised at the number of shots the gunman was able to take at a former president, Kevin Rojek, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office, said:

The gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump Saturday was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, sources told The Post. Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pa., squeezed off shots — one of which grazed Trump in the ear — at an outdoor rally in Butler, just outside Pittsburgh. Sources said Crooks was planted on a roof of a manufacturing plant more than 130 yards away from the stage at Butler Farm Show grounds. He was killed by Secret Service snipers. An AR-style rifle was later recovered. Bethel Park is a village 40 miles south of where the Butler rally was held. Why Crooks fired on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee is unclear.
