Two Democratic senators are asking Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for possible tax law violations.
Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) sent the letter to Garland last week asking him to appoint a special counsel “to investigate possible violations of federal ethics and tax laws.” The two lawmakers pointed to public reporting over the last year which found Thomas failed to disclose multiple luxury trips and gifts from billionaire friends.

Why NOW?
The DEMS cannot tolerate any opposition to their ant-2nd Amendment policies.
Plus Thomas has shown that he will oppose DEM policies in general.
SO they will pull another ”Russia, Russia, Russia” case to distract Thomas from what he does best.
You can COUNT on the DEMS for this kind of stuff. COMMIES DO THAT.

In past times, not too long ago, democrats were political opponents. Now? They are political and domestic enemies! The Democrat Party has no moral nor legal reason to exist.

Is it THE SHELDON WHITEHOUSE?...of Bailey's Beach Club fame?
One would think that the junior senator from RI would have better things to do, given his membership in that very exclusive all white establishment in tony Newport, RI
Isn't he supposed to be recruiting black people to the club?
Well then, Sheldon, do what you said you would do, and get some black people into that club, pronto.
And stop trying to have a black man removed from the Supreme Court.

The Dems are out of control with this lawfare crap, going after those people whom they have decided need to be removed because they oppose their damn ant-American policies, the people who support and follow the constitution instead of twisting it to persecute innocent people. Trump is right this election is the most important in our history, but it will take more than the election to put our country on the right track again, it is a start though. The American people need to stand up to the tyranny of the Dem party, because THEY have become domestic terrorists and are the greatest threat to democracy!! MAGA!!!!

RIGHT. Democracy is ONLY for Dems to be used AGAINST Repubs. Dems get to charge ANY repub with ANY MADE UP CHARGE. Then repub has to try to prove they DID NOT do it. Very democratic. Totally MOB RULE dems.

Gifts are not taxed to the recipient. The person giving the gift is the person who pays the gift. Gifts are not income. This is just losers being poor losers when they do not like how Thomas votes. One might even be tempted to use the "r" word for these White male senators with small states.

Should we also ask the DOJ to start investigating the House and Senate members for ethics and tax law violations? I can guess what the answers would be…

How many Presidents, Senators, Representatives, cabinet members, and other government officials travel and stay at wealthy friends/donors homes, on their jets, or at their expense? Most of them! What about Justices Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson? They accept the same friend benefits as Thomas. Whitehouse and Wyden better make sure their house is clean before trying to clean up Thomas.

Fueled by the successful law fare against Trump in NY State. One must be careful as Trump may decide his AG will need to investigate others just like these two are asking Meritless. And it would be interesting to hear the howling from Dems when these two, Naci, Schiff for brains and others get investigated.

The Democrat party is now truly a domestic terrorist organization! There is no other way to look at the damage that this political party has brought to this country! Moreover, there is no other way to look at the communist agenda that they bring to the table. They have their Brown Shirts (antifa and BLM), they are proven liars, they have corrupted everything they touch!

Clarence Thomas is the only SC Justice my lifetime that I would support for president. It was Biden who placed the Anita Hill target on his back.

Under Const. Art. III, the judicial power of the United States is vested in the Supreme Court and inferior federal Courts. The Court may be able to create ethics guidelines for its branch, but justices could not be prosecuted by the executive branch for violations thereof. Justices hold lifetime appointments during good behavior, the only adverse consequence of which be impeachment. What constitutes "good behavior" would ultimately be decided by the Supreme Court. There is no way Justice Thomas would be punished ex post facto for violations of future ethics rules created by the Court.
