There’s no one else quite like Donald Trump.
What other candidate in American history would start polling his audience, live, as Trump did this weekend in Philadelphia, on what his debate strategy against President Biden should be?
“How should I handle him? Should I be tough and nasty?” Trump said, then took on a comically tough-guy voice.
“Should I be tough and nasty and just say ‘you’re the worst president in history’?”
The crowd roared.
“Or should I be nice and calm . . .”
Boos rained down.
“. . . and let him speak?”
Let no one accuse The Post of taking Trump literally but not figuratively. We know it was a bit.

A little off topic but earlier today my husband and I were talking about how the 'rats and corrupt media will try and cheat during the debate. We wondered if since last week Biden's handlers have been changing his 'internal clock'. Making him stay up a little bit later every night, past his usual bedtime, and letting him sleep in later. This way when the debate starts at 9pm Eastern time it will seem like it's more 10 or 11am for Biden. People with senility usually don't do well starting in late afternoon and evening, it's called Sundowners syndrome.

No doubt, Joetato will play the " you're a convicted felon" card. Trump's response should be, "you're right Joe, but at least I was competent enough to stand trial."

I think Trump should let compost bin do most of the talking. The gibberish, word slurring, and the "moderators" trying to cover for him would be priceless.

If they bring up the "Hush Money Case" PLEASE remind the world that Congress has spent 17 MILLION to pay off extortion cases since Clinton was in office. It is in the BUDGET. Even CNN wrote abt it. So Trump paid with HIS OWN money to avoid embarrassment for his family and should spend decades in jail but Congress spends OUR TAX DOLLARS and THAT is OK?

i think DJT should ignore/hijack very first question, turn to JoeyBoy and ask him eye to eye if he intends to lie to the American people like he did in the debates of 2020, denying that Hunter's laptop was his - just the first of many lies to follow, then enumerate them- that the border is secure that inflation was transitory that he would unite us as a moderate etc i imagine that will set the Dementiac back on his heels. the point being what an incorrigible liar he is - and always will be

The article makes a good point. Make biden defend open borders and importing crime, human trafficking and drugs. War on fossil fuels. 16% inflation. Creeping toward WWIII with Zero accountability of monies sent to Ukraine.
"The world is questioning whether the POTUS has diminished capacity. It is a sad state of affairs that such a question must even be pondered. But I can tell you this: his policies are certainly demented..."
Make it aaaaalll about the policies so that Biden will look like a fool defending them. Then weld those policies and the pain they're giving us to whoever dems get to replace Biden.

Mr. President, when the abortion topic comes up, ask biden the cheater this important question - "Joe Biden, are you grateful that your mother did not abort you?"
The cheater's answer would be most revealing.

Stick to three things. Promise the people that you will
- Protect them from crime
-Protect their money from inflation
-Protect their children from perversion.
Ignore Biden except to use your time to point out deliberate falsehoods being allowed to go unchallenged.
Let the demented idiot prove his own senility and incompetence. And he will.

Good comments. I think not having an audience can play to Trump's benefit. When speaking to a crowd, he always goes off-script to please the base, even though it turns off many. For me, he's best one-on-one (even with Hannity, who's a lousy interviewer). In my dreams, I see Joe Rogan inviting both for individual three-hour interviews. (Trump could return for the 2:45 left of Biden's time.)

Trump will not be allowed to make the best comments he needs to make. These "Hosts" (I think parasites) will interrupt him and cut him off at every point he makes. "We have to move on" and "That is off topic and we can't allow you to go on" will be the mode during this "debate".

As Trump stated during his first term, "I don't need any stinking advisors" or words to that effect. He knows exactly what he is doing as evidenced by his highly successful four-year performance. He will take Biden to the cleaners and have a crease put in his head.

The advice in this article is exactly why the right continues to be at a severe disadvantage in this country. At this point in history, taking the high road only gets you a nose bleed.

The cheating has already been done. The candidates will NOT be starting on a level playing field. Having the debate questions in advance is worth their weight in gold to Joe. There's no reason he WOULDN'T want them and for sure there's no reason his operatives wouldn't do whatever it takes to get them.

When Biden pops off with the old leftist Democrat talking point that he will make billionaires pay their “fair share” in taxes, Trump should ask Biden what is a billionaire’s “fair share”?
