A long-standing San Francisco McDonald’s franchise has closed down after 30 years because of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s new $20 minimum wage law, the owner said. The Stonestown Galleria McDonald’s became a casualty of the economy on Sunday; franchise owner Scott Rodrick told ABC7 that it was a “gut-wrenching day” for him and his family. Rodrick said the closure was related to being unable to negotiate reasonable rent with the building’s landlord, taxes, and the state’s $20 fast food minimum wage that went into effect on April 1. The previous minimum wage for California fast food workers was $15, more than twice the $7.25 federal minimum wage.

On Thursday morning, a temporary election worker, Walter Ringfield, allegedly went into the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (MCTEC) and stole a security fob and keys.

A tiny baby girl died after being left in the back of a hot car just two months after her adoptive parents took her home as a newborn.
Diana Sofia De Los Santos was found unresponsive in the SUV outside her parents' home in Santee, San Diego, about 12.20am on June 13.
She had been left in the car for several hours in 63F weather when a family member found her and called 911. The baby girl was rushed to hospital but did not survive.
San Diego County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating how Diana was forgotten in the car and who left her there. No charges have been filed.

One of the suspects who was arrested in connection with the murder of a 12-year-old Texas girl had his bail set at $10 million on Monday.
To recap, the child, Jocelyn Nungaray, was found strangled to death in a creek in Houston, Texas. Two illegal aliens from Venezuela were arrested for her death. They are Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26. Pena Ramos had his bail set at $10 million. The two illegals reportedly lured the girl under a bridge and assaulted her for hours before she was killed, which Townhall covered.
