Idaho clamps down on its RINOS

Original Article

Would you like to hear about a bright ray of political sunshine penetrating the dense political cloud cover? The Republican Party has long been haunted by the specter of platform infidelity on the part of the party’s elected officeholders. Far too often, a Republican candidate fervently vows fidelity to the party platform during a campaign but, once elected, sheds this fervor like a duck sheds water. The officeholder’s primary agenda becomes re-election, and his/her stance on issues is determined by its probable effect on re-election rather than advancing platform values.

It’s almost impossible for someone with a D label to win an election in most of Idaho, so there are real RINOs here who register to get the R, then govern like democrats. As a result, despite being “red”, ID is falling behind other red states on issues like cutting income taxes and school choice. Good for the state GOP if they follow through and call them out. The other problem is media coverage of state affairs here is pretty abysmal and for the most part predictably leftist.

What #1 says pretty much goes for Texas too. Since about 1980 when Phil Graham resigned a s Democrat being punished by the National Democrat Party for being too conservative, and reran as a Republican and won, most Democrats that actually wanted to get elected in most of Texas changed their D's to R's beside their name. It gets too many of these RINOs elected and the infestation is hard to get rid of.

What a joke...once elected EVERYTHING they do is geared toward re-election and keeping their snouts in the trough...dem, RINO or republican..gone are the days when legislators were expected to only serve a couple terms and return home to live under the laws they formulated...long gone...

is something so simple to understand ie: like a standard of good work and not the pandering and prostituting yourself to the vested interests, is what gets you ahead in life, but politicians seem oblivious to that truism and would rather hob-nob with the hoi-polloi money class than lower themselves to meeting the people who actually "vote" and elect or un-elect a candidate running for office the problem with the political system in this country is that there is too much money floating around and all you have to do, or say, is "I promise" to whomever is offering you the unmarked bills filling the many envelopes in the brown lunch bag being handed to you ..... I wouldn't be a politician for any amount of money because I grew up learning about "principles" in life and not pandering and rump cheeks kissing

RINOs... the "trannies" of politics... born a "this," but wanna be a "that," and the worst thing is that we are forced to sit and watch them do whatever they want! I certainly hope that we in Texas put our RINO Senator, John Cornyn III, into the unemployment line. What a disappointment he is.

I'll second you on that, poster #8. Cornyn isn't the only RINO in Texas, but he's gunning for Useless Mitch's speakership, and frankly he stinks! It's so difficult to get people to NOT come up with some B arbara S treisand excuse to vote for these same, lame Dims in sheep's clothing during the primaries. I think one of the biggest problems is getting people to pay attention to their civic duty. Apparently it's too much trouble for WAY too many to see what's going on from one week to the next.

Worked for a major Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Capitol Hill and then the RNC for many years. Saw the deception from Both Parties. What’s the solution? Term Limits. Go back to being a farmer like our First President, George Washington, and that beautiful painting of him on his knees, praying. Or visit Lexington VA and the memorial to Robert E. Lee. The Republican Party nationally needs to start kicking out members that do hold live up to the platform of the party. Its that simple. It needs to finally be enforced. Let the RINOs go back to the democrat party or join Communist Party USA. They don't deserve to use the Republican brand.

The owner of one of New York’s most famous eateries is exploring a run for mayor. Junior’s Restaurant proprietor Alan Rosen — upset with crime and quality of life complaints in the Big Apple — wants to bring his cheese cake making skills to City Hall. Rosen recently met with campaign strategist Hank Sheinkopf, Bill Cunningham and Mitchell Moss, who served as political advisors to former three-term mayor, Mike Bloomberg, to discuss what it takes to run for mayor — and win, The Post has learned. Rosen said he’s interested in running for mayor,” Sheinkopf said after meeting with him.

Gotham’s budget might be late, with City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams warning last week that she and Mayor Adams (no relation) will miss this Sunday’s fiscal-year deadline. But the timing of the budget is less important than the substance. The council and the mayor are arguing over tidbits while missing the big chunk of spending obscuring New York’s future: How much can we realistically spend on migrants? In his budget proposal, the mayor has finally admitted to reality — the migrant “crisis” is here to stay. This is a reality that he helped create, by continuing to offer all migrants, including single young men with no credible claims to political asylum,

The Supreme Court announced that it was adding another opinion day to its schedule -- Wednesday, June 26th. Among the pending cases is United States v. Trump, in which the court must decide to what extent presidential immunity shields the president from criminal prosecution for actions taken while in office. While the content of the discussions during oral arguments are not a perfect indicator of how the court will rule, Scotus blog sat through oral argument and concluded the court is likely to side with Donald Trump to some degree:

Maher questions how Biden could be losing big percentages of his core constituency (by demographic), yet suddenly be polling ahead of Trump. It just doesn’t make sense.Bill Maher: “45% of Hispanic voters prefer Biden, compared to 39% for Trump. Last time, he won 59%. That was 2020. So, he’s lost 14 points there. He went to Morehouse, he said, ‘What is democracy if you have to be ten times better than anyone else to get a fair shot?’

An appeals court in Washington, D.C., denied Steve Bannon’s attempt to avoid prison Thursday. Bannon asked the federal appeals court earlier this month to delay his imminent prison sentence on contempt of Congress charges. The court denied his request, noting that his argument “does not a warrant a departure from the general rule.” In a 2-1 decision, the judges decided that a stay would not be warranted because Bannon’s argument does not bring up “a close question or one that very well could be decided the other way.”

Maher says so many annoying things in this clip, but his basic thesis is correct. After every war, millions of people end up moving because of the impact of the wars they are in. More than any other group, the Jewish people have been moved, ethnically cleansed, and killed over the centuries. But the only people in the world who never stop complaining and insist on kicking out all of the Jews “from the river to the sea” are the Arabs in the Land of Israel. His point on Mexico is classic. And yes, Maher is right – the Jewish people are here to stay.

That is the Al Jazeera network — founded, funded and directed by the terrorist-supporting state of Qatar. Last month, The Washington Post reported darkly that the Israeli government had shut down the Al Jazeera network’s operations in Israel because of its coverage from Gaza. WaPo portrayed this as a “dark day” for press freedom. In fact, there were a lot of good reasons for the Israelis to stop the network from operating inside Israel.

If we separate the wheat from the chaff, in the end the results are quite clear: there are much more seats taken by conservative or right-leaning groups and a lot of seats lost by left-leaning representatives. Let’s look just at the preliminary numbers in regards to the EU as a whole: as of the writing of this article, the Renew Europe political group, which aligns itself, according to their website, with liberal democratic values and against “autocrats,” has lost 22 seats in the Parliament.

With Thursday's presidential debate looming, the Biden campaign has settled on a strategy: Attempt to exceed expectations. Oddly enough, that doesn't have anything to do with policy. Instead, the president's handlers are setting the stage for an "energized" Biden who can put down all the talk about his ongoing struggle with senility. More oddly, they seem rather confident he can pull it off. They're playing with fire, though. The couple reportedly secured a “new mortgage or credit deal on both homes every 17 months,” according to the outlet.

Melania Trump is unlikely to move into the White House if Donald wins another term in November, analysts say. Those close to the former first lady believe she will likely split her time between Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, and New York City – especially with Barron, 18, tipped to attend New York University. Melania would instead only travel to Washington, D.C. for ceremonial responsibilities like state dinners and other special events. The decision not to live with in Washington is an unprecedented move for a first lady and a break in two-and-a-half centuries of tradition.
