Anticipation over selection over who President Trump will select as his running-mate reached fever pitch over the weekend as the 45th President proclaimed just before a rally in Philadelphia he had already made the pick in his mind.
Now, reports have emerged that the list of contenders for the coveted number two spot has narrowed.
NewsNation has learned Trump has finalized his list to three candidates: North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, and Florida Senator Marco Rubio. CNN and NBC have also revealed the same three names are finalists on Trump’s list.
Trump’s original list also included Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Tom Cotton (R-AR), Representatives Byron Donalds (R-FL) and

Geez. Not that damned backstabbing Rubio!
He's tried to push off amnesty on us several times.

I hope he doesn't pick a member of congress. We need all of them in congress. I'd prefer Vivek. He's smart, self made business person, articulate, and, very important, he's not white. If both GOP candidates are non white the entire campaign will be the dims calling us racists. They have nothing else.

It won't be someone from Florida because that person would have to move due to a clause in the Constitution. Trump is from Florida and VP has to be from another State because of the Electors.

Rubio for the Win. Maybe the ticket would pick up at least some of the illegal votes, coming inland like a tsunami. Trump and a random name out of a Miami phonebook would be unstoppable with even 20-25% of the non-citizen votes. Since his NY lawfare trial, Trump has impressed me more than he has since I became aware of him circa 1973. Even before I was ever impressed, I voted for him twice to save us from Hillary and Biden. JD might be the GOP nominee in '28, even without VP on his resume, especially if the pendulum swings towards youth in '28. If Trump doesn't win, there might not be a '28.

If you read the article, it seems like Rubio is very unlikely. And Vance is awfully, awfully young!

North Dakota has done a fantastic job dealing with the massive oil drilling operations at the Baaken Formation.
He understands business very well and gets great support from oil men and business men on how he has done a great job in North Dakota.
That might be a good thing, being a real world business expert with actual executive experience running a state successfully.

I have to say that Ben Carson is my choice but when I look at the total list, I wish all of them could be in Donald Trump's administration somehow - without upsetting the House or Senate representation.

Sorry, I still hold hope for Vivek Ramaswamy. Well spoken, literate and not a jaded politician. He ran his platform on supporting Trump policies to make America great again.

Somebody that will run for president in 2028. Intelligent. Wise. Honest. Well spoken. A fighter. An outsider. Not sure I would pick any of the three mentioned in the article.

Vance or a complete surprise. These leaks are just to build drama and keep press busy.
