The recent discovery of potentially valuable byproducts from a Pennsylvania fracking site could supply nearly half of the U.S.’s lithium needs, prompting Republican lawmakers to call on their Democrat counterparts to ditch their anti-gas crusade.
A University of Pittsburgh study, published in Nature’s “Scientific Reports,” estimated that annual lithium yields from the Marcellus Shale — a massive rock formation with natural gas lying beneath parts of Pennsylvania and surrounding states — totaled 1,278 tons. Wastewater produced in the fracking process has “substantial extractable lithium,” researchers Justin Mackey, Daniel J. Bain, Greg Lackey, James Gardiner, Djuna Gulliver, and Barbara Kutchko found.

The sun rising on Saturday brought with it welcome news about the hostages who are still being held captive by Hamas terrorists since the attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. As we wrote in several articles, members of Israel's armed forces and police pulled off a daring raid, rescuing four Israelis from their captors in Gaza. As my colleague Bonchie wrote, the joyful news wasn't received that way by pro-Hamas protesters in our nation's capital, who apparently had a game plan to "surround the White House," in hopes of swaying President Biden to their hateful position against our ally Israel. They also clashed with police

As we reported, Israel Defense Forces (IDF), along with Israel's intelligence agency ISA, ran a dramatic rescue operation Saturday deep in Gaza to rescue four Israeli hostages held by the terrorist Hamas organization. The IDF is now releasing new details about the daring operation, calling it a "high-risk, complex mission" that was "surgical" in its precision. They had planned for weeks:
The mission was planned for weeks using "precise intelligence" and took place at around 11 a.m. local time in the heart of Nuseirat in central Gaza, according to Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari of the IDF.

Israeli security forces rescued four hostages from Gaza on Saturday morning who had been held hostage for eight months, Israel Defense Forces said. The hostages had been kidnapped from a music festival in Israel during the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks.
The rescued hostages were found in good medical condition, Israel said. Among the hostages rescued from central Nuseirat was Noa Argamani, whose kidnapping was captured on camera and shared widely online. A ten-second clip of the kidnapping showed Argamani screaming as she was taken away on the back of a motorcycle.

RedState has written about former President Donald Trump's sudden fundraising success, which has taken off following his conviction in the Manhattan trial. On Thursday, an MSNBC panel speculated about it, talking in part about it happening in Silicon Valley. The panel pointed out the early post-verdict fundraising numbers, including a major donation almost immediately on the heels of the conviction. But what's really great about the MSNBC speculation is the claim that President Biden was "too quiet for too long." That's rich, when one considers the recent history of President Biden saying, well, anything.
As the panel revealed, the former president had a roster

As Israel's political world waits to see the outcome of one ultimatum, their enemy faces another -- reportedly. With Israel offering grudging support for an operational pause to swap hostages for prisoners based on the latest US formula, Hamas has taken a week or so to offer a firm response. Yesterday, as John noted, Yahya Sinwar appeared to signal rejection over a refusal by Israel to end the war first and leave Hamas in control of Gaza.
Today, Qatar decided to up the stakes by issuing an ultimatum of its own. Well, not entirely of its own:

Wilmington, Del. – Federal prosecutors on Friday rested their case against Hunter Biden after testimony from Biden’s exes, government experts, and others involved with the purchase and recovery of the gun which the first son allegedly lied to obtain.
Special counsel David Weiss’s prosecutors, Derek Hines and Leo Wise, are pursuing three criminal gun charges against Hunter for allegedly lying about his addiction to crack cocaine on a gun-purchase background-check form and allegedly possessing the gun while addicted to drugs. Hunter faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

CNN is reporting an Israeli strike on a Hamas headquarters inside a United National Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) school compound in Gaza as an “Israel strike on UN school that left dozens dead.”
The main focus of the CNN story is the claim that American munitions were used in the strike, from which CNN evidently wishes readers to conclude that the United States shares moral culpability in an Israeli atrocity. However, the airstrike, as described by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), was actually a targeted attack on a building that had been used as a base by Hamas terrorists, who likely accounted for most of the “dozens”

Former President Trump suggested Tuesday that it was “very possible” Democrats could face prosecution down the road following his own historic conviction in the New York criminal hush money trial.
Trump, in an interview with Newsmax, floated the idea that his prosecution could open the door to political opponents being targeted, echoing comments he has made ever since he was charged with dozens of criminal counts across multiple jurisdictions. “Does that mean the next president does it to them? That’s really the question,” Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee for November, said in the interview, highlighted by Mediaite.
“And wouldn’t it be really bad like, as an example, Hillary

The Department of Justice has indicted Dr. Eithan Haim, a little-known surgeon who exposed Texas Children’s Hospital for secretly conducting transgender surgeries and treatments on minors, on four felony counts related to his alleged violation of a medical-records law.
Last year, Haim anonymously leaked evidence of the child sex-change procedures to conservative journalist Christopher Rufo. The documents revealed that Texas Children’s Hospital had continued running its transgender program, despite announcing that the program had been discontinued in accordance with Governor Greg Abbott’s 2022 directive equating such medical interventions with child abuse.
