America faces a crisis that we acknowledge yet shamelessly exacerbate for political expediency.
Our leaders sit on their hands, under the impression that the consequences will patiently wait for their willingness to address them.
Meanwhile, our cities and quiet suburbs are oblivious to a grim reality gathering overhead. This crisis is our national debt, standing at a colossal $33 trillion. That's the equivalent to the economies of China, Japan, Germany, India, and the United Kingdom, combined.
This figure provides useful context, yet the true challenge lies in the annual amount required to repay that debt.

Nadine Menendez, wife of embattled U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, was involved in a fatal car crash in 2018 prior to marrying the New Jersey Democrat.
According to police reports, Menendez struck and killed 49-year-old Richard Koop with her Mercedes-Benz. The victim had allegedly been jaywalking. But new questions are being raised following a New York Times report on the incident, which resulted in no charges and was not picked up by media at the time. The revelations are especially important as they help explain one of the bribes alleged in the federal indictment against her and Sen. Menendez.

New York Democrats are planning to distribute flyers at the US-Mexico border telling illegals to “consider another city.”

"This report provides a snapshot of recent statistics for U.S. government employment in each state and territory, as well as estimates for how many federal workers live in each congressional district," said the report.
It then noted that "these figures do not include uniformed military personnel or federal contractors."
The report included a table that listed each of the nation's 435 congressional districts with an estimate -- based on the Census Bureau's American Community Survey -- of the total number of federal civilian employees who lived in that district in 2022.

His rhetoric, which has included denunciations of those who have served in the military (while he dodged the draft five times with a limp excuse about bone spurs) ought to disgust all but those who are in complete denial of the danger he would pose to the Constitution and the country should he be re-elected president. Humility is not part of his vocabulary and words mean something, especially when they reflect character.
