Joe Biden is on the last day of his European trip in Helsinki, Finland for the U.S.-Nordic Leaders’ Summit.
He’s been having a difficult time, being led around by the other foreign leaders, even with them having to physically move him into place. On Wednesday, he couldn’t even get Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s name right and snapped at a reporter who dared to ask Zelensky how soon after the war was over would he want to join NATO.But one of the other points of Biden’s trip was to talk about climate change. As he explained on his last day in Lithuania, “We all must summon the common will to address

Why are our presidential motorcades so long? Is every vehicle there needed to protect the life of the POTUS?

I’m with #2. A 39 car motorcade is an embarrassment for our country. I know that Biden didn’t come up with the ridiculously excessive amount of vehicles. It’s been going on for far too long. I hope the next Republican president realizes that we are the laughingstock of the world over this and reduces the number.

He personally did not own a private jet but his wife's company - Flying Squirrel LLC - did and Kerry owned a more than $1 million stake in the company. They sold the Gulfstream GIV-SP to a NY hedge fund last summer.
So yeah, you pretty much owned it Lurch.

Maybe it’s the result of COVID lockdowns, supply-chain issues, dying cities, armies of illegals, swarms of homeless, the worker shortage and inflation but that motorcade is now a true national embarrassment. It is obviously the result of elitist one-upmanship rather than necessity and looks so decadent, so grotesque, so anachronistic that it fairly screams “arrogant has-beens.” As for 80 year-old John Kerry, enough petroleum products have been used to supply him with his ridiculous toupees to supply a small town with enough fuel for a year. This is American leadership as it presents itself today - a President who looks like Montgomery Burns but without the charm and a self-important blowhard goof of a man-child who still thinks it’s 1968.

Many people will accept Kerry’s purchase of carbon jet indulgences as a good thing. But, when they find out the indulgence industry is full of flaws and misrepresentations, they May conclude as well that these indulgences are of little value, and Kerry is deluding himself, too.

fta: Kerry’s family jet, a Gulfstream GIV-SP, has made a total of 48 trips lasting more than 60 hours and emitted an estimated 715,886 pounds, or 325 metric tons, of carbon since President Biden was sworn into office, according to federal data obtained by Fox News Digital via FlightAware. The plane belongs to Flying Squirrel LLC., a charter company owned by Kerry’s wife Teresa Heinz-Kerry and in which Kerry reported owning a more than $1 million stake on his most recent financial disclosure.
-----
So Kerry's plane has produced in just 60 hours of flight 325,000 kgs of CO2, and for what maybe 10 people onboard?
Just to give some perspective, on the average flight both short and long haul on a 737 or 787 (both very common aircraft) the average passenger is responsible for 92 kg CO2 per passenger per hour in flight. 60hrs x 92kg = 5520kgs.
So, if the great grey windbag actually believes what he is saying, Kerry should really fly commercial!

As hildebeast said "...what difference does it make?" if he owns a plane? he is still jetting around the world on a private plane. And who is paying for it? I'll wager we are.

#13 my 10 year old niece who watches The Simpson's not only said that the Walker-in-Chief looks like Mr. Burns but Pete Buttigieg looks like his assistant Smithers. As for John "Lurch" Kerry GWB's post presidency love affair with BJ Clinton and Barrack Hussein Obama notwithstanding. I'm glad he beat that pompous, global warming screeching, moronic, private jet flying, hypocritical windbag back in 2004.
