As a recovering Catholic, I'd say no, he is not. Maybe in name only. The last true, Catholic pope was John Paul II.

Writer Alicia Colon is way behind the curve. Those of us who follow Bergoglio's shenanigans here and on Breitbart have known for a long time that he is a socialist, perhaps even a Communist, and that he shows traits of narcissism. He loathes America, he is a climate-change fanatic and he will tolerate the moral depravity of liberals and socialists as long as they promote socialism and the New World Order. Now he's joined climate forces with Bill Clinton. Appalling.

Just like in the evangelical movement there are charlatans and posers, the Catholic Church now seems to have one as Pope. The faithful in the church have always been the core believers and they will remain committed to their faith. Just as the hucksters do not represent all evangelicals, that can happen with the Pope too. God looks on the heart and He knows His sheep whether their leader is worthy of the title of Shepherd. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” ~ John 10:27, 28

FTA: " ... (The Council of) Trent confirmed that one must be in a state of grace before receiving Communion. Pope Francis, however, has presided over Masses where known clear and unrepentant supporters of abortion, like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden, received Communion." Scripture warns us not to receive Communion unworthily. A pastor even told his congregation that taking Communion in a state of sin could be very bad for one's health.

I started having problems with Francis many years ago when he invited Muslims into the Vatican and washed their feet on Holy Thursday. Those same Muslims would happily nuke the Vatican if they could get away with it. Then more and more reasons piled up for me to dislike him and his actions. Finally, canceling Easter in 2020 was the last straw and I haven’t been to mass since. Every time I start to lean toward going back, he does or says something outrageous. I’m still struggling with my decision. And please, spare me the lectures on how I’m separating myself from Jesus and endangering my immortal soul. I’ve already been given all of them.

I do have a soft spot for Catholicism (was a Catholic as a kid, became a Methodist in college, now Church of Christ as an adult) but reliance on the words and actions of a mortal man rather than the word of God is just what awakened me and why I decided to search for deeper Biblical meaning and switch faith. As a kid of the 1960s I got tired of priests talking social change and progressivism - rather that God's word - and I began to question why I had to rely on the word of a guy to deepen my faith in Christ rather than going directly to the source - the Bible itself. I feel for what Catholicism is going through right now with this Commie Pope.

When I was in my 20's and looking for a religion, I looked into Catholicism. It has its very beautiful, very spiritual aspects, but the practice of the religion seemed too complicated; and too many rules. So I moved on. Now I'm glad. I always had a ton of respect for the office of Pope and for the man, but now I'm not sure I respect either one.

I'm a Catholic convert from an evangelical church--almost 40 years ago. We sent 4 kids to parochial school through the 12th grade and admired both JP II and Benedict. There are many like me--who came to Catholicism because it holds the truths of christianity--espectally those in John:6. Pope Francis is dividing the church with these decrees and it may be time to retire. The answer to communion for those obviously not in the state of grace is for them not to present themselves to receive it in the first place. Failing that, they should get in the state of grace or leave the Catholic Church. Lots of other churches out there.

The Pope is a Communist. There is God and there is religion. Never confuse the two. Communists believe in religion as long as they control it, and religion gives the Communists all the power. A Communist religion will point to the Communists instead of God.

The Catholic Church and the Faith is much older and stronger than Bergoglio. He will be a footnote in history. We've survived worse than Jorge in the past; at one time we had three popes claiming the Chair of Peter. The Deposit of Faith, the Sacraments and Sacred Tradition will remain until the end of time and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ our Savior. Pope Leo XIII's vision of the 20th century has certainly come to fruition. Our Blessed Mother Mary has warned the faithful of these times at Fatima, Akita and many other apparitions throughout the world during the 20th century and continuing today in Medjugoria. She has given us our greatest weapon; praying the Rosary - her holy sword against Satan and his plans. Find a Adoration Chapel and spend an hour in devotion before the Blessed Sacrament. Go to the Source and Summit of our Faith. He awaits you in every tabernacle in every Catholic Church, at this very minute. Do not play into Satan's plans. He wants to drive Catholics away from the Mass, away from receiving the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. He wants to see Rosaries sitting idle in drawers. He wants Catholics to feel defeated and to abandon the Sacraments and Christ's Holy Church. Not me! The more I see of Bergoglio, the more dedicated I become. AMDG

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Sen. Bob Menendez’s defense against new federal corruption charges against him, his wife and business associates Friday revealed that he’s adopting the same defiant stance he took when he faced federal accusations nearly a decade ago. A three-term senator who has held office at every level across New Jersey’s rough-and-tumble political landscape, Menendez vowed to fight the latest set of charges and questioned the veracity of the indictment. In almost the same language he used in 2017 after a mistrial on federal corruption charges, he cast the indictment Friday in political terms and vowed to continue his work in the Senate.

The Biden administration is setting a booby trap in case a Republican wins the presidency in 2024. On Friday, the White House unveiled a proposed rule that would make it even harder than in the past for an incoming Republican president to wrestle control of the left-leaning federal bureaucracy and actually implement the conservative policies promised to voters. Of the 2.2 million federal civil workers, only 4,000 are presidential appointees. The rest stay in their jobs, from one administration to the next, protected by rules that make it nearly impossible to discipline or replace them.

Americans have long been critical of politicians and skeptical of the federal government. But today, Americans’ views of politics and elected officials are unrelentingly negative, with little hope of improvement on the horizon. Majorities say the political process is dominated by special interests, flooded with campaign cash and mired in partisan warfare. Elected officials are widely viewed as self-serving and ineffective. A comprehensive new Pew Research Center study of the state of the nation’s politics finds no single focal point for the public’s dissatisfaction. There is widespread criticism of the three branches of government, both political parties, as well as political leaders and candidates for office.

Unfortunately, contrary to America’s long claimed official policy of not paying ransom for hostages, with regards to Iran, every single time the United States has acquiesced to Iranian demands in order to get our people back.
