With the recent prisoner exchange between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Americans better be on notice that Iran is once again in the business of taking hostages for ransom. Any U.S. citizen traveling to the Islamic Republic might want to rethink their travel plans. Truthfully, the Iranian regime has been taking Americans hostage and holding them for ransom since the overthrow of the Shah of Iran back in 1979. Unfortunately, contrary to America’s long claimed official policy of not paying ransom for hostages, with regards to Iran, every single time the United States has acquiesced to Iranian demands in order to get our people back.

How does Iran balance their budget? They wait for a Democrat administration and then kidnap Americans.

The last time we dealt harshly with our enemies: Germany and Japan (World War II) , they were defeated and they knew it and never were a threat to us since that time. Alas, we never dealt harshly and appropriately with Iran and we continue to pay a price; literally and figuratively. Quite frankly, any American with dual Iranian citizenship who visits Iran - you are on your own.

1979??? My BIL worked for the company where two of its employees were arrested and put in an Iranian jail. The president of his company even visited them in jail. For some strange (?) reason, there was an uprising outside the jail. The locals raided the jail and the jailed employees escaped, went to a predetermined location and were taken out of the country. The president of the company spent millions in expenses to remove his 2 employees from Iran. The company deserted 2 nice vehicles at the border with Turkey. There was a book and a movie about this event. (I doubt the US govt paid a ransom.)

The exact moment when the Democrats ramped up their efforts to turn the United States of America into a Third World banana republic may be difficult to pinpoint, but we know it happened around the time that they decided that January 6, 2021, would be their new holiest of holy days. Oh, they can pretend to be horrified about what they say went on that day, be we know that they privately chuckle at how they’ve been able to turn their false J6 narrative into a weapon to destroy their political opponents.

If Iran is able to obtain a nuclear weapon, Saudi Arabia will seek to acquire one as well, the kingdom’s crown prince declared Wednesday. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed “concern” about the possibility of a nuclear Iran, a longtime rival of Saudi Arabia, during a wide-ranging interview with Fox News host Bret Baier. “Well, we are concerned [about] any country getting a nuclear weapon. That’s a bad move,” Salman said. “You don’t need to get a nuclear weapon because you can’t use it even if you can get a nuclear weapon.”
Biden Lays a Booby Trap for a Republican President 20 replies

The Biden administration is setting a booby trap in case a Republican wins the presidency in 2024. On Friday, the White House unveiled a proposed rule that would make it even harder than in the past for an incoming Republican president to wrestle control of the left-leaning federal bureaucracy and actually implement the conservative policies promised to voters. Of the 2.2 million federal civil workers, only 4,000 are presidential appointees. The rest stay in their jobs, from one administration to the next, protected by rules that make it nearly impossible to discipline or replace them.
Americans’ Dismal Views of the Nation’s Politics 3 replies

Americans have long been critical of politicians and skeptical of the federal government. But today, Americans’ views of politics and elected officials are unrelentingly negative, with little hope of improvement on the horizon. Majorities say the political process is dominated by special interests, flooded with campaign cash and mired in partisan warfare. Elected officials are widely viewed as self-serving and ineffective. A comprehensive new Pew Research Center study of the state of the nation’s politics finds no single focal point for the public’s dissatisfaction. There is widespread criticism of the three branches of government, both political parties, as well as political leaders and candidates for office.

Two former Directors at the World Health Organization (WHO) have written a scorching article in The Lancet criticizing their former employer for its casual and damaging dismissal of tobacco harm reduction. They are quite right to do so, and it is regrettable that more academics are not doing likewise. The FBI had so many paid informants at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, that they lost track of the number and had to perform a later audit to determine exactly how many “Confidential Human Sources” run by different FBI field offices were present that day, a former assistant director of the bureau has told lawmakers. At least one informant was communicating with his FBI handler as he entered the Capitol, according to Steven D’Antuono, formerly in charge of the bureau’s Washington field office.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has, or has had, ties to 143 school districts in the United States, including 20 near military bases, through its "Confucius Classrooms," according to a recent report, "Little Red Classrooms: China's Infiltration of American K-12 Schools" by Parents Defending Education (PDE), a grassroots organization. Attention to Confucius Institutes has mainly been centered around colleges and universities, but less so on K-12 education. This means that Chinese state propaganda is probably now pretty much all over American K-12 classrooms.

The media have a narrative, and they’re going to stick with it. They segued smoothly from the “Russia collusion” narrative, to the “Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation” narrative, to the “honest election” narrative, and from there to the “January 6 insurrection” narrative. Every video or (digital) print piece that touched upon these topics made sure to imprint the Democrat view onto the audience. The latest narrative is that, with Republicans gearing up to impeach Biden, there’s “no evidence” Biden did anything wrong. To his credit, McCarthy called out an AP “reporter” who made this claim.

It has been revealed that out of the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants that have taken over New York City within the past 18 months, less than two percent have applied for work visas. Democrats at every level of government continue to say that getting more work visas will solve the illegal immigration problem in New York. AOC and other Democrats staged a press conference outside midtown Manhattan's Roosevelt Hotel on Friday to speak about work authorizations, more federal funding, and the American dream, but they were shouted down by constituents who very clearly want the border closed.

Clapper was Barack Obama's DNI and has been credibly accused of lying to Congress. Meanwhile, Brennan is Obama's former CIA Director and has been credibly accused of doing the same. Both men lived on cable news after Trump's inauguration, making all kinds of wild, unsubstantiated claims related to nefarious Russian collusion supposedly committed by

Its sister jet, the F-35A, is more severely affected and cannot fly within 25 miles of lightning.

President Biden leads Donald Trump by six points in a potential 2024 election matchup if the former president ends up convicted of any of the four felony indictments levied against him, a new poll shows. Biden, 80, would prevail by a margin of 45% to 39% over Trump, 77, in the event of a post-conviction ballot, according to a WPA Intelligence survey exclusively shared with The Post. If the former president is not convicted on any counts, Biden would still hold a slight lead over Trump in the general election — garnering 43% of voters support compared to Trump’s 41% and 11% of voters undecided.
