United Nations, (Reuters) - Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Wednesday he will pump $500 million into the next phase of his energy transition campaign, aiming to shut down "every last" coal plant in the United States and slash gas-fired capacity in half by 2030. The $500 million infusion into his decade-long Beyond Carbon initiative aims to "finish the job on coal" by working with state and local organizations to force the closure of the roughly 150 coal plants that have not yet retired, slash current gas generation in half and block the construction of new gas-fired plants.

As Bloomberg pushes us ever closer back to the stone-age it will become important to know how to make a fire. Simply rub a stick between your palms vigorously, on a flat stone, making sure an adequate supply of dry kindling is on the stone. Shield wind with cupped hands when smoke is observed. Note that all the money will be used for litigation and left-wing activism against fossil fuel providers. Many citizens are completely ignorant about how much of their energy usage is derived from coal. When the lights go out it will be too late to stop these lunatics.

My early legacy back in the mid-seventies was to commission air pollution control equipment on coal-fired power plants across the US. When the stacks were clean, our equipment was working. Then came the wet scrubbers to further the cleanup. One of the larger facility was in the Utah desert. Ironically, all that cheap power was going to LA, pollution capitol of the left coast. They tried destroying America with the globalist clot-shot depopulation project. What's wrong with breathing in some airborne heavy metals. What is their true purpose? It's not saving humanity or maybe THEY think it is!

Close our coal fired power plants and two things will happen. First, electricity prices will jump up. Second, there will be BIG shortages of power, brownouts and blackouts will become common.

About ten years ago during a visit to Niles, Ohio (close to the Pennsylvania border), I drove by a construction project near a mall. They were building an Aldi store. You could clearly see that they had pushed away the top soil and underneath was a great deal of coal. It's criminal that the country with the most coal on the entire planet can't use it, while China is still building coal power plants, left and right. What's wrong with this picture?

Somebody should put and end to him. We are not ready for an all electric energy system. Wind power kills birds who spread seeds, In the ocean they mess up the whales directional systems and they are beaching at alarming rates The lithium for the car batteries is being mined by enslaved children in Africa and catch on fire when wet. The amount of water required to put them out is enormous. Then, where is all the fuel to generate the demand for an all electric environment coming from? Bloomberg should concentrate on making money and leave us alone. Or maybe he has another agenda. He didn't get as rich as he is by being benevolent and worrying about the environment.

As #7 and #14 mentioned, the ChiComs are building coal-fired power plants. How many? I read that in 2022, China mined and burned FOUR HUNDRED AND FORTY BILLION (440,000,000,000) TONS OF COAL, and has THREE HUNDRED new large Coal-Fired Power Plants 'In the Pipeline'. The USA and Wester Europe can completely shut down, and the increase from China will swamp what puny (in comparison) reductions we could make. I suggest if Mikee Bloomie wants to reduce coal burning, he should go spend his Cash working to stop Coal Use in China!

The ID cards, part of a DHS pilot program, could be used by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents at airports or to access public benefits.
