The ACLU Is Mad at Florida for What They
Did Not Provide to Death Row Prisoner

Original Article

Posted By: Northcross, 6/17/2023 3:18:54 PM

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) voiced their anger towards the state of Florida because they executed a prisoner on death row, who claimed to be transgender, because they did not provide "medically necessary gender-affirming care." Using female pronouns to refer to Duane Owen, a convicted murderer and rapist, the ACLU said by not providing "gender-affirming care" it resulted in "enormous suffering and violating her right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment for the more than 30 years she was in state custody."

Comments:

The ACLU has once again humiliated itself, this time shedding crocodile tears that a brutal murdering rapist has finally been executed in Florida. And, horrors, "she" was denied transgender surgery before "her" execution.

To the ACLU, it's irrelevant "she" raped and murdered two females, one 14 years-old, both crimes months apart. What's their argument, that the rapes would have never occurred had she transitioned before the first one?

What really is taking away Civil Liberties is the fact that that guy took away an innocent child's life among other things. And we housed and fed him for over 30 years, If the ACLU was so concerned about people losing their rights why didn't they worry about that?

Obviously the ACLU doesn't know the definition of Cruel & Unusual. Allow me. 1)Turn wild dogs on him for the warm up. 2)Dose him with gas & throw lit matches. 3)When aflame have a tank full of water nearby for him to run to, but its really more gas. That should cover the definition.

Over half of the students at UCLA Medical School failed basic tests after its dean implemented race-based, woke diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine has seen a drastic drop in its rankings, with some faculty members citing admissions decisions that “prioritize diversity over merit” as the cause. Since Jennifer Lucero was appointed to the dean of admissions in June 2020, the medical school’s ranking has gone from sixth place to 18th place.

Pro-Hamas demonstrators at Columbia took over an academic building early Tuesday to continue their “protests” over the war in Gaza. University officials urged students and staff to keep away from campus as dozens of the anti-Israel activists occupied Hamilton Hall in defiance over the school beginning to suspend students who refused to leave an encampment set up on the quad last week. Images on social media show students breaking windows, barricading themselves in the building, and holding banners that say "intifada."

As Townhall has been covering, Columbia University threatened and has now gone through with suspending pro-Hamas student agitators setting up encampments on campus. A statement from Cornell University President Martha E. Pollack on Monday signaled that they too will go through with suspending students, as CNN highlighted as part of their live updates. The statement was merely titled "Update on campus events," and never goes into the specifics of what those "campus events" of pro-Hamas encampments entail. The Israel-Hamas conflict that began after Hamas perpetrated a terrorist attack against our ally in the Middle East is never mentioned at all.

The Biden administration took an unprecedented step this afternoon: they accused the Israeli military of human rights violations. It’s no secret that Joe Biden doesn’t want Israel to defeat Hamas. It will create a domestic headache for him at home, as the Democratic Party base has become increasingly hostile to Israel. Rafah is the last remaining Hamas bastion in Gaza; Israel is going to take it. The longer this war continues, the more incensed young voters, whom Biden cannot lose, become at Israel and the Biden White House. Also, these incidents within the IDF were all allegedly committed before October 7.

How might we change the premise of Social Security to make it fully funded, more equitable, and sustainable indefinitely? Social Security is societal insurance, not an individual retirement plan. It’s intended to protect individuals against income loss due to retirement, disability, or death. It supports disabled individuals, survivors, and children and reduces poverty. Social Security protects taxpayers across American society. Without Social Security, millions would face poverty, straining families and state and local governments, increasing inequality, and destabilizing the economy.
