'Out of Control!': Residents in This Very
Liberal City Are Angry Over High Crime

Original Article

Posted By: Northcross, 6/1/2023 1:31:36 PM

Residents of Oakland, California voiced their anger at the city leaders during a community meeting for the high crime rates, particularly against women, and pleaded for the police to be able to do their jobs. The Berkeley Scanner reported hundreds of residents turned out for the meeting, telling stories how they have been beaten and robbed, often times by teenagers. "Two kids beat the [deleted] out of me in front of my house last Monday night," one woman said. "Down on the pavement. Punching me, kicking me, dragging me through the street."

Oakland was bad enough already, and then the ultra-liberal Utopians decided they could make it "better" by defunding the police, instituting no-bail policies, and emptying the jails. This is the result.

But will they recognize that ALL of this is their own damn fault? Hell no! They'll ignore that law enforcement or rather its lack is the direct consequence of defunding police and refusing to punish the criminal. They'll continue to elect yet another set of idiot Dems and whine at council meetings when they are victims. 'DO something!, they'll yell, 'but gently, please'. 'Don't hurt those bad teens.' And those police trying to do right - they are helpless less they incite another BLM riot as in Minneapolis.

The woman speaking got a big applause when she said 'profiling' shouldn't be a reason to let the criminals run wild. The problem is, only a strict crackdown on the offenders will stop the mayhem, and liberals don't have the cajones to do that.

Say what, Lisa?? lol ...Lisa McNally, a public school teacher, said she went on a ride-along with the Oakland Police Department, recalling how "appalled" she was at seeing how the officers were treated by the community, "You couldn't pay me to do that." "Oakland is out of control with the crime. I'm fed up, I'm absolutely fed up. We're all fed up because of you and your policies and you coddle these criminals! You're coddling!" McNally said to an applause from the audience.

I remember once at old casualty Hospital many years ago i was speaking to this old man who had been assaulted. He was beaten but not defeated. He told of the kid that had assaulted him and said that kid would remember him for a long time. During the battle he had cut the kid on the leg that was kicking him. The kid was in the next stall getting 40 stitches in his leg.

In recent years, several school districts have been ousted for keeping parents in the dark about their child’s gender transitions at school.(snip) And last year, Republican Sen. Tim Scott (SC) introduced legislation that would prevent schools from hiding information about a student’s gender identity from their parents. Documents obtained from parental rights organization Parents Defending Education and reviewed by Townhall show that Pueblo School District 60 in Colorado has guidelines to keep students’ “gender identity” secret from their parents.

Earth Day is upon us—that forlorn little non-holiday that some years sandwiches itself between Easter and Passover, or other years trails in the wake of those “real” holidays. New York City has had to open a fifth shelter for recent arrivals from the southern border, which is in addition to using hotels and homeless shelters to house people coming from Latin America and even parts of Asia. Townhall has reported on several situations in which Americans took advantage of COVID-19 pandemic programs and defrauded the government to enrich themselves at the expense of taxpayers, but it turns out there were also perfectly legal loopholes that allowed wealthy Americans to take unemployment benefits — even those who had annual incomes over $1 million. Recent data released by the IRS reveal that thousands of Americans — 19,003 to be exact — reported receiving unemployment compensation in 2020 despite having adjusted gross income of greater than $1 million that year. The amount of unemployment compensation that those millionaires received totaled $263,794,000.
